Hilda Posted April 27, 2009 at 02:23 PM Posted April 27, 2009 at 02:23 PM i remember saving up two weeks of paper round money to get unison remix hahaha and was the actual happiest boy when i got it - i was doing my paper round at about a million miles an hour haha Quote
pat200 Posted April 27, 2009 at 06:08 PM Posted April 27, 2009 at 06:08 PM Yeah me too, every time i was given money i used to hide a part of it to be able to buy her new releases (we were basically poor). but it made me appreciate each cd bought so much more than now.by the way Tom, i love the color of your shirt! I am lately in love with all shades of blue and that one is just lovely! Quote
Hilda Posted April 27, 2009 at 11:57 PM Posted April 27, 2009 at 11:57 PM i know i love it as well - the photo is slightly muted in colour coz i was playing around with it but its basically the same colour but brighter Quote
Der_Griffon Posted April 28, 2009 at 08:25 AM Posted April 28, 2009 at 08:25 AM Oh, yes, you're so right about the appreciation part, Pat! It was magical every time, now it's merely very nice. But I guess that it also has to do with me being 14-15-16-17 at 'those times'. Well the important is that you should try to be happy doing that at the moment! This is just a phase and it will pass. I am in a similar situation in a way: i was going for a phd and my professor gave me a half position for a few months till he gets the funding required for a phd (if he doesn't get it, i am screwed!). This is not what i want but i have to take it cause it brings in some money, which is better than nothing. I think at our age we should make the best out of that, it must be really interesting and experience (life) enhancing passing through that. You have a chance to experiment before you finally settle for a permanent job. Enjoy it for what it is worth and i wish you with all honesty all the best Quote
Hilda Posted April 29, 2009 at 09:30 PM Posted April 29, 2009 at 09:30 PM cheers- yeh that sucks about the phd! hope u get it! Yeah, i love freelancing id love to do it as a living but id feel more comfortable doing it after id had more experience if you know what i mean...ive only been in the industry for nearly 3 years so and only had a permenant job in it for 2. But it's all good....it suits me better - having time off all the time haha. Quote
