Hilda Posted May 8, 2010 at 12:40 AM Posted May 8, 2010 at 12:40 AM (edited) a-men p.s that t-shirt is HILLARIOUS - what the hell price is that!!? ha! V.I.P at Lansdowne! amazing and how dare! haha, the cheek!! I was a tender 12 years old at birmingham - i think it still remains the best night of my life. P.S i must tell u guys - I went round with my friend to our mates house the other day to see his Maddona collection coz he'd shown us pix before etc and it like....covers his entire flat. and it was aaccctually amazing. I was standing there...like.....oh my gooooodness!!! He had a whole room with EVERYTHING in it....then framed photos and posters anywhere - really nicely done....portraits everything....and then....two mannequins with the actual Evita costumes on them....and then I actually held in my hand the braclet she wore in the material girl video over the pink glove.....ridiculous stuff! He had two coffee table books of her discography of the 80's and 90's - (celine needs one of these - theyre soo good.....hard back, really nice) with every release in them and half the cds photographed in there are from his collection. He also showed us the MTV cribs he was on!! hahaha and whilst watching it i was like.....omg ive seeeen this one! hahaha. Edited May 8, 2010 at 12:45 AM by Hilda Quote
Der_Griffon Posted May 8, 2010 at 09:44 AM Posted May 8, 2010 at 09:44 AM Oh, yes, the printed Madonna collector guides are amazing! I also thought that Celine needs such guides when I swa those! Hilda Posted May 9, 2010 at 11:36 PM Posted May 9, 2010 at 11:36 PM hell yeah - theyre awsome - i dont actually know why i dont just start it as a project myself....as a designer it'd be the dream job to work on ! and it'd be great trying to source collections to photograph. Quote
J-Man Posted May 10, 2010 at 12:21 AM Posted May 10, 2010 at 12:21 AM Can't think where you'd find collections to photograph Tom, no one around here would have anything I'm sure. Besides from what I hear she ain't that collectible. Why anyone would want to start cataloguing Celine Dion's discography is beyond me! That Madonna collection sounds amazing, I wonder if he's worn that Evita dress standing at the bedroom window singing "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" when he thought no one was looking?! Does anyone here have anything like costumes /dresses that Celine has worn? Most of the items we put up here are music, but we all have some non-music stuff too, yet we rarely seem to show them. J-Man Posted May 11, 2010 at 10:38 AM Posted May 11, 2010 at 10:38 AM OK, so I just got a great new CD promo: Just Walk Away http://www.powerofthemusic.com/images/forum/jwa1.jpg Really happy to have this one. And my two Taking Chances CD/DVD's arrived today. I'm waiting till tomorrow to watch them 'cos I'm working tonight and don't want to waste them by watching them during the day.The DVD's don't seem to be in 5.1 surround though, is that true? Can't decide which one we'll watch first, thought maybe go English then French.Hopefully TTEOTW will be here in time to watch it on Thursday. (It should be) Quote http://www.powerofthemusic.com/other/FORUMSIG1.png
Hilda Posted May 11, 2010 at 03:16 PM Posted May 11, 2010 at 03:16 PM (edited) id prefer the french one i think - much more lively concert by the looks of the songs - altho i cant stop watching the anglo one!! i love it - apart from the hillariously obvious miming but it looks like she actually did sing alot of it live - even my heart will go on looks live. not sure Throught he eyes extended is soooo much better than the released version - the bits they took out were probably the best bits - celine doing the sour sweet challence with R.C, Charice in New york, Pizza express and the hillarious This morning interview with Alison in london and the stage breaking one night!! p.s john - i love just walk away its one of my faves - and also i love it coz its so hard to find in good nick. Looks like u did good! this is my friend James' collection - its insane and thats not even all of it- some is packed away Edited May 11, 2010 at 03:21 PM by Hilda Quote
J-Man Posted May 11, 2010 at 05:28 PM Posted May 11, 2010 at 05:28 PM Oh my God that is mental! He is surrounded by Madonna stuff. Even for a small room, that is impressive)I suddenly don't feel like a collector at all. Can you imagine Celine posing like that for a cardboard display piece. Respect to James. (Even if it is only Madonna) I was thinking to start with French one but as I was at an English concert I thought I'll go with that first get a better idea of what she is saying and that so I'd get a better understanding of the French one, as my French ain't great. Also I think that I'm more interested in seeing the French concert, even though there's not enough D'elles content, so I'd like to build up to that one. That's good about TTEOW as I saw it on the screen and loved it, so will adore the extended version. Everyone seems to say that it's definatley not just a filler of an extra hour. Yes the JWA is in very good condition, just that strange dirty mark in the corner on her top and an annoying little sticker residue shadow on her forhead. But maybe that was actually on Celines face during the photoshoot and they were too embaressed to tell her. Or maybe not. I think you're copy is pretty mint though from what I remember you saying. Javito Posted May 11, 2010 at 10:32 PM Posted May 11, 2010 at 10:32 PM J-Man, both concerts are in 5.1 of course! And it sounds great And also the movie comes in 5.1 (to my surprise, because I didn't expected it), but the use its mainly for the songs segments only... not very noticeable during the dialogues Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
celinefanonline Posted May 11, 2010 at 10:53 PM Posted May 11, 2010 at 10:53 PM oh my that madonna collection ...... it's ........ do you guys think there's a Celine collector like that??? i know we r the collectors but is there anyone like soso mentaly crazy collection Celine's stuff..? vroni Posted May 12, 2010 at 10:57 AM Posted May 12, 2010 at 10:57 AM So i got the Ultimate Box for 10 pounds and received it today and as far as I can tell it's a genuine copy this time, the discs are in the right position and the booklet does not look scanned anymore. I don't have my other (probably fake) copy with me as it's back home in Austria, but as far as I can tell the quality of the box overall is not different at all. Concerning the DVD quality, can't really tell from my laptop but it does seem better and it also has Japanese subtitles which the other one didn't have if I remember correctly... I also got the the Falling into you Tour"book" for 99p Quote My Taking Chances Tour 22 June München 08 July Genève 10 February Quebec City 12, 14, 15 February Montréal 15, 16 March 2011 LAS VEGAS

OlivierAllemagne Posted May 16, 2010 at 04:01 PM Posted May 16, 2010 at 04:01 PM (edited) OMG I'm just becoming jealous when I see all of your items I feel ridiculous with my 112 items, with nothing really rare... But anyway, congrats to all of u, some items are incredible !!! Does anyone of you has "Hand in Hand" ? I suppose this must be the rarest non-promo item, right? J-Man Posted May 16, 2010 at 07:47 PM Posted May 16, 2010 at 07:47 PM Hey Olivier,Good to see you found us. You're not alone, there's nobody here who doesn't feel over-shadowed by some of the other collections we see here. But 112 items is nothing to be ashamed of, that's a big collection by anyones standards. Hand In Hand is definitley up there with the most wanted items in Celine's cannon. But there are other items that would be even rarer (mainly promo's though as you indicated)I don't have it as you know, but you may be sure a few here have it.Anyway, hope you can show us some of your items in the future. Celine_Forever_2004 Posted May 16, 2010 at 07:49 PM Posted May 16, 2010 at 07:49 PM (edited) OMG I'm just becoming jealous when I see all of your items I feel ridiculous with my 112 items, with nothing really rare... But anyway, congrats to all of u, some items are incredible !!! Does anyone of you has "Hand in Hand" ? I suppose this must be the rarest non-promo item, right? I could be mistaken here, but I thought "Hand in Hand" was a promo? As for the question of relative rarity, it's definitely one of the rarest items out there. However, I'd question calling it THE rarest item (either promo or non-promo). Although, with items this rare, it's often difficult to definitively determine and compare rarity. Most of the time, there are no accurate figures for how many copies of particular items are in circulation, so one simply gets an intuitive feeling for the rarity of particular items based on how often they appear for sale and how many other collectors have them. If anyone has a more scientific way of determining rarity, I'd interested to hear what it is. I'd say in terms of items that aren't promos (assuming "Hand in Hand" is not a promo) that "L'univers A Besoin D'amour", the French 1988 Carrere "Incognito" CD release and the Japanese 3" CD single for "The Last To Know" are rarer than "Hand in Hand". If "Hand in Hand" is a promo, then "It's Hard To Say Goodbye" and "Amar Haciendo El Amor" are definitively rarer. (For the purpose of this message, I'm treating rarity as a similar measure of how many copies of a particular items are in circulation. The question of whether a particular item is desirable is far more subjective.) Edited May 16, 2010 at 07:51 PM by Celine_Forever_2004 Quote http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/4450/sig4bx.jpg
Timster Posted May 16, 2010 at 08:46 PM Posted May 16, 2010 at 08:46 PM I completely forgot to mention this item The other day I received the On ne change pas L'integrale - EUROPEAN EDITION. It is far better than the Canadian version because: -The EU version is hardback like Miracle, the CA one is made of card-The spine on the CA version creases like a digipack due to the flimsy card and the booklet stapled inside -The EU version doesn't come with that awful sticker that seals the CA version that noone could get off without ripping the cover -The EU version has 2 long double disc trays, instead of 4 individual ones stuck to the inside. So it's a million times better than the Canadian one! I got it from eBay for £20 http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk17/ShuttleDiscovery/oncp1.jpghttp://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk17/ShuttleDiscovery/oncp2.jpg Quote
Der_Griffon Posted May 17, 2010 at 10:05 AM Posted May 17, 2010 at 10:05 AM So now all that's left is to tell us where we could get that precious EU edition! I'm so happy I still haven't got the L'Integrale. J-Man Posted May 17, 2010 at 12:53 PM Posted May 17, 2010 at 12:53 PM (edited) Not so modest, thanks for taking the time to lay everything out for us! You've got some great stuff Olivier. Loving the ACDS box set and the signed TC programme. Was that done in person?I see you have that Collector's Series renamed In Love. That is a clear sticker placed over the CD case to hide the Collector's series logo isn't it. Besides that sticker on the front is there any difference between this and the regular CS vol 1. Whats the cat no.? The LCMM 6 track is a great CD to have as is the Unison video. Keep up the good work. Your Ultimate Box, is that the original or one of the fake copies? You know the La Voix Du Bo D'ieu is fake I hope. Still nice to have on CD though, will they ever get around to re-releasing these pre sony albums properly. Enough with the same bloomin' compilations already! That's also quite an impressive library of books. Is that your home. You guys must sure like studying! Nice longbox Tim, didn't know it was a better quality version than the Canadian. Edited May 17, 2010 at 12:54 PM by J-Man Quote http://www.powerofthemusic.com/other/FORUMSIG1.png
