Cool. I wouldn't be surprised either, though, if they postponed it. Weren't they filming her behind the scenes, travelling around the world or something? If they release it before the tour is over, we'll never see the end of that...

 

But it's not like they can show us behind the scenes from the whole tour....can they? surely it would be like 20hours long not that i would mind....actually come to think of it, that sounds pretty good.

 

But i can't wait till next year, i wanted it so badly for christmas!

I dont reckon they will have 2 concerts anyway on the one DVD becuase there would be so many repeated tracks. Unless.................they did the Quebec 400 Special as one of the shows and that really would be ace!.

 

I reckon there will be a CD/DVD with the French tracklist variation in French territories and the English one for the rest of the world.

 

I think this tour started fantastically, it changed from each territory, outfits and songs but I reckon the tour was too big and after Europe lost interest in any changes. Its baffles me why beauty and the Beat isnt in the list (considering she got an Oscar for it) and why songs like TTWII and ANDHC are not in the North American shows. I really expecetd more changes along the way.

 

 

OMG, I'm dying to see French concert, and I also want to see the English one as well, since I attended it.

I hope we'll get both og them anyway. I can't imagine, I won't see "Je sais pas" and other highlights from this tour!!

Lol they can't show everything, but maybe a bit more from each country, and more stuff from the final shows, this way. I know waiting sucks. That's why I try not to expect it, and just get excited when it actually does come out.

The should have dumped the idea of the My Love: Essential Collection and given us the Live CD with new tracks. Would have been a much better idea.

It could still come out for xmas you know??!! Nothing has been confirmed. After all, xmas is the biggest selling time - if they can, they will release it then. I'm still gonna keep my fingers crossed for december. Remember when amazon advertised the AND dvd, and we had to wait almost 3 more years. Until TC announce the release date i'll still be hoping for xmas

i know that 2009 is after christmas i meant when is the release date. meaning what month do you think it will come out?

I think there are now just 14 concerts left on the Taking Chances Tour, and in a few short weeks it will all be over.

 

I sincerely hope:

 

1. that fans will not be forced to wait too long (like next year or even Christmas) for the concert DVD to be released;

 

2. that the quality of the DVD will be on par with Au Coeur du stade or A New Day, with lots of interesting concert footage and backstage material. (I have heard that the DVD will contain two concerts, one in French and the other English - that's a good start;)

 

and,

 

3. that - and this is the important part - there is a new Celine album (French preferred but English o.k.) in the very near future. Hopefully, there's one in the planning stages.

 

Is this all too selfish?

TC was only promoted 3 weeks when it was released, then it was all focussed on the last show of AND and the tour I hope that the dvd will contain lots of bonus features and that the new songs are on the cd!

When do you think Celine should release her Taking Chances Tour DVD?

 

In my opinion she should release it at the end of March 2009, because:

1) people still remember the tour and it would be wrong to release it at the end of the year

2) she could call the tour the best selling by a female or a single artist in the world. This title will go to Madonna in the summer 2009.

3) by releasing it before March 30, it would be released before Celine turns 41

4) A New Day DVD is out of the charts in most countries so the March release should not stop the sales of the previous DVD. I think till March the A New Day DVD will sell 400,000 copies in the U.S. While the tour is lasting people seem to buy the A New Day DVD, rather then the CD album.

5) I also think that till end of March the My Love: Ultimate Collection will be out of the charts as well. So the DVD release might help it to get back on the charts. Or at least we would have one Celine product that is charting.

 

I say March 24 release in the U.S. What do you think?

i really feel that this tour is not actually made to promote TC. i really do. i think Celine decided to tour because she just wanted to. (or Rene wanted her to?) she still sticks to her old material and sings very few songs from TC. all in all, the tour is simply done the old-fashioned-yet-high-tech-Celine-way.

 

about the dvd, i really can't wait for it. no words to describe how excited i am. especially for someone like me who didn't have the chance to see the tour live.

It would be great to have a concert from the TC World Tour on DVD... TC is one of my favourite Celine albums, to date, and there are several songs which she rocks live!!!! It has been a surprise that she has not lipsynched as often as she used to in past tours or TV appearances... She has a voice for live performances.

 

I hope the DVD has a compilation of the best performances from different venues, though!

Oh, I thought there would be some news about the release here since the topic had popped up again.

I really wish the dvd would be released at least before next Christmas, but since we had to wait for so long for A New Day, I try not to get TOO enthousiastic.. If they only knew at Sony's how MUCH we are longing for the dvd here!!

I'm hoping for something more like Live à l'Olympia or Live A Paris than ACDS... If the new live cd has 13 songs, being 4 of them: TPOL, IACBTMN, TLYM and MHWGO, I would be extremely dissapointed.
