No, I don't think it's the same...

"A New Day..." show would go without "A New Day Has Come" song in my opinion, but "Taking Chances World Tour" DOESN'T DO without the title song in any way!

I'm sure there was a good reason for taking out TC for these 2 concerts. Let's wait until she does another show before we start yelling how unreasonable it is to take the song out. I, for one, am sure that Celine will be singing the song again next time she's on stage.

 

Let's face it, the part of the show that stays the same: with all the covers, is in English and therefore a big part of the tour will always be in english, no matter where she is. She only has a few songs from TC because she's also singing in French.

 

Many people who come to see Celine in concert, want to hear her hits, and if we're honest: most of her hits are from the 90s. We, as fans, may know otherwise but many people just want to hear Celine Dion, meaning TPOL, IACBTN, MHWGO, etc. I do agree though, that it would have been nice if she'd sung more from D'Elles (even 1F&4T) and TC.

I agree. These were my first Celine concerts, and I really wanted to hear TPOL, MHWGO, ABM, her hits, although I would have appreciated more new songs as well (but you can't have it all !).

Celine's tour brought her to places where she hadn't performed yet, places where the public hadn't heard her greatest hits yet. For Belgium as well, it had been 9 years since she was last here. A lot of people didn't go to her last concert but went now, and wanted to hear those hits. If she would have left them out, a lot of them wouldn't have been happy either.

As I said, this was the first time I saw here, and I'm very glad to have heard TPOL, ABM, MHWGO, Destin, Dans un autre monde etc. All here 'old' hits. If she would have said: let's do a tour about the last 3 albums, I would have had to miss these hits.

BUT: next time (if there is a next time in the near future), I would appreciate more new hits, so I understand those that are bored with TPOL, MHWGO etc. as well.

what do you mean with " she sounds great"? of course she sounds great because she is singing mhwgo playback..but in don't wanted to hear a playback version from monaco..i am so interested in celines look...i am wondering if she had the same outfits and stuff like that and if the dancers were included in the show! but i now i think we will never find out?!

I didn't say the tour couldn't go on without having "Taking Chances" in the setlist. What I said is that it doesn't make sense. My take is don't name a show or a tour with any part of a well-known song title if you don't intend to have it in every single show. It would be like naming a book, Joe, and not having any of the characters or places with that name or having the author by that name.

Why did the music stop after the intro? Another technical glitch or was that planned? I love the way they put those screens above the stage though, it looks amazing like that.

Well it stopped, and Celine didn't sing 2 lines of IDAN a capella, she instantly switched into the actual IDAN song.

That's strange. And what about the stage? Were there some additional screens over the stage? It looks interesting.
