Yesterday's was exactly the same.. no TC and ALONE.. weird for a "Taking Chances World Tour" concert...

I don't like that nearly the last half of the show is all in english. Come on, celine and rene.

We all assumed that the FRANCOPHONE tours would be more along the lines of D'ELLES

and the ANGLOPHONE/OTHER would be more along the lines of TAKING CHANCES.

 

So why release 2 DVDs if all of the other French songs are available on either "Live à Paris" or "Au coeur du stade."

 

I, myself, would rather have a Francophone show on DVD.

don't give up, it's the first show she didn't do those two songs! she didn't do "alone" in nice neither, but in geneva it was back! she changes the setlist from time to time...

 

i'd like if they'd release the english show with the central-stage and the french show with the front stage! that'd make two different setlists and two different concerts!

well, I believe there were more songs from "Falling Into You" album instead.

But now there are only from 6 to 2 songs from "Taking Chances" album on the concerts. That's more than horrible!

well we all know that the setlist is heavely based on the 'hits'... and no chances were taken... I guess that is the curse of Vegas... if she didn't do that, and had more hits, she wouldn't have to sing all her nineties hits it sucks to say the least that there are so little TC songs in the setlist... but what can you do about it?

Also I thought this was some kind of dinner/music event, not really a TCWT show... so maybe they thought that TC would be a too heavy song to sing.... but like I said, they did WWRY.... so maybe céline didn't feel like singing TC for a night (or 2 ) could happen!

 

btw yeah it has always bugged me that FIY wasn't sung in LIM during the Falling Into You Tour!!!

It bothered me the first time I saw her in Vegas in 2004 when she opened with Nature Boy and never sang "A New Day Has Come". When I saw her again in 05' and she sang "A New Day Has Come" I was so happy...it fit the show perfectly of course. That's weird that she didn't sing Chances..I am really getting sick of the 90s music. I LOVE the TC album and I want to hear songs from it. I wish she could do an entire concert of that album alone! I also think D'elles is incredible and I don't understand why she is not singing those songs in Francophone countries. WTF?

 

I don't understand this tour...but I still love Celine!

I don't understand the point in expanding the tour until next April if the set list will continue to downsize and relive the entire '90s decade. Celine would have been better off taking a year or two off after Vegas and then return to the spotlight and maybe begin a world tour with NEW songs from this decade. She seems way too tired as of late and it also seems that this tour is being rushed as she wants to get it over with as quickly as possible...

I seen Celine for the first time in Dublin this year and yes i feel she sang to many of the old songs but she needs to leave one or two old songs in. The only two oldies i wanted to hear were 'The Power Of Love' and 'My Heart Will Go On'. I wasnt bothered about the rest. It would be a mistake to cut every old song out IMO

If they will expand this world tour, she will perform in Spain I read, so France will be pretty close again. It will not surprise me that she will perform then a total French concert... maybe in Stade de France?! Rene and the management are reading these topics also, so in the end it won't surprise me at all...

 

Overall, the songs she sang in Belgium and Amsterdam were great, and with so much hits and songs, they have to make a choice. The people who saw her perform during this tour will be the fans of the future, and it's clear that they are making some choices to give her career a different switch. Forget the Celine of 10 years ago and prepare for the re-born Dion!

 

Can we now please stop with this kind of discussions concerning songs she sang, playback or not etc??? Please!

The only reason I could think of ehy the tracklist was so weird was cos Monaco is such a small place and so they didn't want to over-do things there. But it called the Taking Chances Tour, so she HAS to sing TC!!

Any videos? i went to youtube and there's not even one. And is soooooo weird that she didn't sing Taking Chances and Alone, something must've happened. voice problems maybe, or the fact that they decided to change the playlist because it was a french-concert, but still they should've remove The Prayer or The power of love (which was removed in Geneva).
