...and this is 'only' a Best Of...but it will do well- mark my words...if it receives a wee bit of promo. i.e OPRAH...it'll be all good- and she'll spurt ahead of Mariah and Madonna again, and yes, that does matter to me.

u know i heard from someone working in sonybmg said that they release this album just for fun!! .....

that means it's not like a major release at all... so not so much promotion at all...

and i wouldn't be surprise that if they release another GH with all the complete hits later.....

If that's true, they're only showing they do not respect the fans at all. Neither the fans nor the artist.

of course not. every albums are well planned (though often times, it seems like it is NOT). the album appeared on her official website, we've seen the TV ads, and that's already a promotion.

of course not. every albums are well planned (though often times, it seems like it is NOT). the album appeared on her official website, we've seen the TV ads, and that's already a promotion.

well yes they planned it but like only around 2 or 3 months before..... when Darren started to ask us what songs we would like in this album.... and look at the tracklist........

yes there's promotion but it's not a major release so not that many promotion...

Greatest Hits albums are usually not promoted that much. And they rarely hit #1 on the charts.

Tim McGraw's Greatest Hits 3 (he issued a statement saying he didn't agree that his record label releases a 3rd Best Of within such a short time!) just debuted on Billboard 200 at #9 with 44,000 copies sold. He normally debuts much higher with a lot more copies sold! Sarah McLachlan's Best-Of also debuted this week at #11 with 40,000 copies sold on Billboard 200.

So it's just to show you that Greatest Hits album are not like regular albums... They don't sell crazy amounts at the beginning and fade away.. They just sell little during a longer period of time. And Celine's Essential Collection will probably do the same! Unless Celine gets some special award at the Grammys and then people rush to buy that Essential Collection... :blink:

So the promo for the album should be airing this coming week in the UK- I wish it was Celine Dion week on the X Factor next weekend (it was Michael Jackson songs this week)- that would be very clever marketing and Sony should have forced Simon....hopefully there'll be Celine ads next Saturday night as it'll obviously be the most watched programme

yes it's exclusive for Taiwan's version!!!!!!

it's gonna release on 31st Oct

it's the same version as US but it has a hidden track of My Love medley

probalby the medley of the hits!! pretty nice though

and on the blog they have confirm the 14th track on the second disc it's the radio version of my love!!

The "My Love Medley" is a hidden track in both 2CD and single CD editions, but the special booklet is included in 2CD edition only.

It's so exciting that we get gifts again from Celine's album (last time was Taking Chances set of 5 postcards!) in Taiwan. Can't wait for the new album!!!

The album isn't listed on the Japanese Sony site or the Australian SonyBMG site.

I think we can be 100% sure that the album won't be released in Japan That's why all the new tracks are included on the A World To Believe In - Himiko Fantasia single.

And as goes for Australia...it would be very stupid not releasing the album there. Japan had the Complete Best, but Australia?

I hoped they would release at least the 2CD version in Japan
