For those who didn't know: The "new" addition to the Vegas show put out of the tour-suitcase is Alexandre Vauthier, from his Spring/Summer collection 2017. That was the first time ever he presented in the famous "Grand Palais" in Paris.

 

Vogue described that collection: "’80s-style necklines and one-shoulder silhouettes were removed from their heyday of peak pouf and implanted onto the littlest black dresses. Coquettish plumetis from the past looked newly empowered as the counterpoint to angular panels of velvet." Vauthier said his goal was "extreme desirability, which respects the workmanship by giving something new, not ceremonial".

 

Alexandre Vauthier (born 1971 in France), started his fashion career as an assistant for Thierry Mugler. From 1997 til 2013 he was head designer @ Jean Paul Gaultier. In 2009 he presented his own label @ Paris Fashion Week. But his international breakthrough came in 2011 with the look he created for Beyoncé's album "4".

For this years Halloween Céline wore a "nununu" "adult eye sweatshirt" in "heather grey". "nununu" is a kids label but that sweatshirt is also available for adults.

 

Description of their page: "hey mom and dad! time that all eyes be on you guys for a change! our heather grey dot-pixel eye print comes in adult sizes too! this one-sized unisex sweatshirt has a slightly hi-lo hem line, is deconstructed all around on purpose and has the nununu edge all the way"

 

Original price 106 Euro, meanwhile reduced to 85 Euro.

 

"nununu" was founded by two Israeli "mompreneurs", Tali Milchberg und Iris Adler, in 2009, who defined kids wear (0 to 14) completely new. Black, skulls, grey stars and acid humor are trademarks of their collections.

Those gorgeous shoes she wore last year, are Saint Laurent's "Lace Front Platform Heel Sandals" in bordeaux from their autumn/winter collection of 2017/2018. Crafted in Italy from leather and velvet, they feature 13,5 cm high heels, platform sole, branded insoles and tie fastening.

Saint Laurent, the prestigious and legendary French Haute Couture house was founded by Yves Saint Laurent (1936-2008) and his partner, Pierre Bergé (1930-2017) in 1961. Over the decades alot of trend-setting pieces fluttered out of that house into the fashion-world to become iconic. Since April 2016 Anthony Vaccarello, former creative mind of "Versus Versace", became their new creative director.

YES! I had them too, way back in the 80ies: Those black tights with the tiny dots. And I LOVED THEM!!!! They were quite expensive at that time so I was desperate, when I catched a run.

 

And, look, what I found: A picture of Céline during the recording of "Icognito" in 1987: She wore those stockings too!

 

And, guess what: Everything returns in fashion - one day or the other: Cause look at Céline's current showdress by Alexandre Vautier: Black tights with little dots!

 

So if you would love to follow that trend: Tights like that are available nearly everywhere. Just google "black tights with dots".

Another gorgeous bag, carried by Céline in June 2016, although someone told me that bag's not that useable as beautiful. Too hard leather, too complicated to open/close, too heavy. But who cares if a bag's that cool!

 

It's "Tod's" famous "Wave Bag", Stitched Leather, presented in the brand's 2016 Collection. Crafted from black, red and white semi-glossed leather. It features a flat top handle, removable strap, contrasting whipstitch trim design, stamped Tod's logo, wide front leather band with button fastening on the sides concealing a zipper, maxi geometric tassels, exterior back pocket with snap closure and silver-tone hardware accents. Alcantara red lining with interior zip pocket. Original price: $ 3,025

 

"Tod's", mostly famous for luxury bags and shoes, was founded in 1920 by Filippo Della Valle as home shoe making workshop, in his kitchen in Sant’Elipidio (Italy). In the 1940s his son, Dorino, took over the company after Fillippo’s death, and slowly started to grow this small shoe-making factory. In the 70's Filippos grandson Diego Della Valle (born 1953) expanded the family run business into an industrial company. He's the CEO up til now.

In 2016 Nelson and Eddy wore "Dolce & Gabbana Children's" light grey floral print shirt, inspired by the Spring/Summer 2016 mens collection. It's made of smooth feel cotton poplin, the design has a black, grey and white floral pattern and fastens with buttons down the front and cuffs. I couldn't find the original price, but I guess it was around 215 Dollar.

On June 28, 2016 Céline wrote fashion history: Her acid green Balenciaga dress, was the first piece worn by a celebrity under their new creative director Demna Gvasalia and she stormed the fashion world!

On that day she carried this beautiful and simple bag by Givenchy, called "The Horizon", from their Fall/Winter 2016 collection. Choosing mainly THIS label was a stylists master stroke: Cause in the late 1950ies Cristóbal Balenciaga (1895-1972), who founded his fashion house in 1937, became Hubert de Givenchy's mentor. Hubert (1927-2018) founded his house in 1952 and together with Balenciaga they created the idea of the iconic "sack dress". But Givenchy's most famous ambassador became Audrey Hepburn, as they first met in 1953 while creating the wardrobe for Hepburn's movie "Sabrina", and many more followed (like her iconic little black dress of "Breakfast at Tiffanys").

 

But "back to the bag" : It is "the epitome of timeless simplicity at its finest", as some fashion-guru said. The bag features expandable side panels, a removable shoulder strap and calfskin lining. Silver-stamped logo at front. Logo-etched hardware. Gusseted sides. Back panel secures with snap. Protective metal feet. Polished silvertone hardware. Slip pocket, gusseted snap patch pocket, zip pocket at interior. Rolled leather handles. Originalprice 2.690 Dollar.

 

The bag was one of the last things created under the wings of Givenchy's artistic director Riccardo Tisci, who left the house after 12 years in 2017. The current creative director is Clare Waight Keller.

Yes, that's true! But bags of Tod's are always of a high quality. But although that bag's so beautiful, I guess it's not really "all-day-usable". To open it it's complicated and the leather is very hard.

Like the "August-September 1994"-issue (Nr. 13) of "Platine". Céline persumably read the cover story about a young man with whom she was either already working @ that time or soon to be working ("D'Eux") and who would become one of her most important composeres: Jean-Jacques Goldman.

Vogue-Online stated last year: "Fashion is public for Dion; jewelry is personal." And regarding the fact that she carried some jewels very often, mainly after René's passing, it can be persumed that those pieces are combined with very dear memories.

 

One of those rings is Vhernier's "Kiss" ring, out of their "Kiss"-collection. Descibed like this: "The smooth, sculptural curves of this bypass 18k rose gold ring, set stretching as if poised by a kiss, are sure to attract unending admiration, as they catch the light to reflect incomparably gorgeous gleam." This Kiss costs around 5.500 Euro.

 

Vhernier opened in 1984 at Valenza (Italy) as a goldsmith’s workshop. It began with a huge passion for gold, a thorough knowledge of gemstones and the desire to create jewelry that was contemporary and unconventional. Over the years, numerous creations have become true icons: the Calla necklace, the Pirouette ring, the Palloncino brooch and the Vague earrings, just to mention a few. Since the first rumors I tried to find it. But either it's custommade, or they didn't release a runway-picture. Maybe it's Haute Couture. Someone on Instagram meant it was Spring/Summer 2018 (Ready-To-Wear). They had sequin dresses with similar textiles, but different cut of clothes.

 

But at least we've got the confirmation it's Dior, as Pepe posted not only a gorgeous new drawing, but also the proof!
