Many of you know that I've been dealing with depression and panic anxiety issues since late 2007, and that there have been periods when I've had to take a small break from here. Those of you who've sent PMs; I'm sorry I haven't responded to you, I have a whole bunch of unread messages so I'm not ignoring you on purpose, I swear. It's just too much at the moment. The past 3-4 months have been unusually rough, and it's rapidly gotten worse the past 4-5 weeks, to the point where my own thoughts scare the sh*t out of me. I realized a long time ago that the medication I'm on isn't right and that I need help, but I guess I've been too proud and stupid to admit that. I've desperately wanted to make it on my own. Well, last Friday I had no choice but to accept defeat, so I asked a family member to take me to the psychiatric emergency at the hospital. I've been in contact with them over the weekend, and I'm currently packing and preparing to be hospitalized tomorrow. I don't know how long it's going to be, could be 4 days or 4 weeks, all I know is that it's the right thing to do and that it's been a long time coming. I hope you all understand the reason for my absence, both on the forum and through private messaging. Maybe you gave too much time to Celine and not as much time to give a solution to the things that have made you sad over the past years, but hey! it's never too late! Don't forget that your family members will always be there with you, and so your friends and, of course, don't forget about us here in CelineDionForum, we are a little family as well! So I really hope you recover from the difficulties that you have gone through. The fact that you decided to put an end to this bad times by putting yourself in hands of specialists is really a good sign, it means that you are full of this, and that you've finally decided to start a new day! Frida, I hope you recover as soon as possible and that you'll come back at 100%, which I'm sure that is gonna happen. By the way, once you are back at 100%, and of course if you feel up to it, watch the A New Day... DVD, specially the live performance of the song A New Day Has Come, it will probably become a turning point in your life.
