Best of CD due in the fall?

All these different versions and re-releases are a bit annoying now.Not that I mind cuz I have 1 or 2 re-released albums.. but why can't they just release everything at once? that's just my opinion I know it doesn't work that way.

As for a best of or even a Collector's Series Vol. 2 (as manuel morriso said) why not put songs that never made the cut on previous albums? we all know Celine doesn't record only 14-16 song per cd...there are more, so why not release them? that would make a real Collector's Series Vol 2 or even 3 lol

I agree with some of the comments. September does seem a bit late for re-releasing Taking Chances. They need to release the re-release soon as the album has already disappeared from the charts. I hope we get "let me be your soldier" thrown in and a few unreleased tracks from the Taking chances recording sessions.

 

As for a best of collection, well "All the way" wasnt really much of a collection. It only included 9 of her greatest hits and missed off a huge number of songs. I'm all for the record company releasing a double CD best of including her early work like "Where does my heart beat now", "Misled", "Beauty & the beast" together with a handful of new songs. It might be a good way of re-promoting Celine as her popularity seems to have declined in terms of CD sales in the last 10 years.

I read the other day that on the Paris press conference for ANDHC René said that on december 2001 they already had 26 songs recorded for the album, and then it came Ten Days on january 2002, which makes 27. We know 19 from that album (techincally, if the rest weren't used for One Heart ), So there are still 8 unreleased recorded songs from ANDHC we don't know, two of them being the spanish version of HYEBIL and the english version of LAEE

 

And the same probably happened with FIY (we know the unreleased songs of Phil Spector and Jim Steinman) and so with LTAL... And the same happens with her french albums, at least with 1F&4T there was an unreleased song...

As for a live album I'm thinking it would be excellent. Do I think it will be from the Taking Chances World Tour? No, but I hope I'm wrong. It may be an updated live disc from A New Day... or perhaps they'll go back in their archives and release an audio version of Live In Memphis. Either way I'd be thrilled with any of those. It'd be awesome to have her improv. during "Le ballet" on CD.

We have Le Ballet, complete with improvs on the Live a Paris Album.

 

As for older LIVE albums being released, it would be something that just about any fan would love, especially considering most of us only have Live in Memphis on VHS and are "waiting" on this never-gonna-be-released DVD.

 

We know there's going to be a DVD of this tour released, so an audio CD to accompany it would not be too difficult or too weird to release as well. Remember, DVDs are for fans, and Audio albums tend to cater to the general public. Not EVERYONE wants to WATCH Celine. ha ha ha.

 

As far as all these unreleased tracks go, who knows? We've experienced things like this in the past. Maybe those tracks will be our renewal gift for next year's TeamCeline renewal cost?!?! LOL No no no, Sony wouldn't make enough money THAT way... they will release them in some sort of glossy, golden album case that's somehow "gone-green" and we will eat it up.

 

Perhaps another "best-of" with unreleased studio tracks, kinda like ATW was released... previous hits and new, unreleased tracks. That's a sure way to get more money... you have to buy the old tracks to get the new ones, and the new ones would be "Album Only" tracks in iTunes. LOL

To be honest, I would love a new album to come out with Map to My Heart, The Reason I go on, and all new songs that we hadnt heard. I would definitely buy it. Its just a shame that we keep having the same older songs on the albums. Yes, of course they are brilliant but for us die hard fans it would be nice to hear something a little different for once.

Let us not forget my friends..in April 2005, Mariah released THE EMANCIPATION OF MIMI with IT'S LIKE THAT as her lead off single. Which didn't too so well at first...then towards the end of the summer, beginning of autumn they released WE BELONG TOGETHER as the second single, and in November of 2005 they released the PLATINUM EDITION of the album and it sold like hot cakes.

i think they need to get taking chances with remixes/unreleased tracks and dvd out a.s.a.p. sept at latest to launch us leg of the tour

then a complete english best of with dvd like on ne change pas and some more unreleased tracks at x-mas...keep her profile high.

then next april the tour live dvd/cd ....and then xmas 2009 collectors edition with international versions and hopefully more unreleased tracks...

at least that way when she is on her hiatus we will have plenty to keep us going ....any chance i have to hear that voice i will grab !!!

BUT that depends on which version of the concert that they want to release. I'm still crossing my fingers for a FRENCH-FRENCH-FRENCH show in Québec and having that be the LIVE album.

Well I only hope that they release a real CD of a live concert, and not a "mutilated" version of 11 tracks like the ACDS or LILV albums They worth today a double disc album, not just a poor selection of 10 songs.
