Your Favorite Album Layout?

This topic is to discuss everybody's favorite album layout. By this I don't mean simply the cover. I mean the way the artwork was created, how the lyrics (if any) were included, how and where photos were included, the artwork included on the top of the CD, etc.

 

For my I think my favorite is Au Coeur Du Stade. The beautiful blue used for the disc is stunning. The "logo" was included in all its glory, but not too much. The cover is stunning with the white kimono (sp?). Plus, I absolutely love how the photos used are paired with the lyrics to the songs they match.

 

What do you guys think?

I have many favourites: FIY, SSDA (french artwork design were usually in charge of the french company FKGB), Tout En Amour (the digipak-book is just GREAT, except for some of the cards they chose ), TAST (perfect combination of pictures and text), All The Way (perfect fonts, colours and photoshoot) and ANDHC (the horizon line matchs same in the cover as in the backcover ).

 

If I would had to chose I would pick All The Way and A New Day Has Come

Live a Paris. the photos from the concert are perfect, and the "century-old" layout of the booklet and the back cover is simply beautiful.

yeah i forgot D'elles. everybody knows im not a big fan of the album, but i think this is one of her best album layouts. i only have the jewel case regular version so i don't know how the does the digipak looks. but the booklet is elegant. here are my favorite parts of the booklet:

My favs are......lets talk about love, d'elles, these are special times....live a paris!!! uh!! and taking chances - love that shoot, and on ne change pas!!! gorgeous - likes one heart photos as well altho the type face used etc looked cheep.

for the french work, i really love Live a paris esp. the printing on the cd. for english, i guess one heart, the quality of paper they used is really good including the printing. my LTAL album, which is the Limited Asian Tour CD is really worse, the printing is what i mean. but i saw my cousins LTAL (the one he bought on its release day) was also great

Well, if you are amazed by the regular version, you would be shocked by the digipak (in a positive sense of course). It's simply perfect. That's my favourite, I guess.

 

By the way, many of you mentioned LAP and ACDS. I only have the DVD versions of these two, which have no photos (LAP doesn't even have a booklet). Could you show me scans from the CD booklets or just send me a link where I can see how they look? Thanks a lot!

"D'elles" is exquisite. Her best work ever!!!

MY worst would be "A new day has come" (I don't like her photo on the cover, which seems a plastic doll, or something; and also the photos of Rene-Charles. But Unison is pretty lame too

I think the Deluxe Edition of D'ELLES is tops. VERY chic!

I truly love the photos for D'elles. They are some of Celine's best photos do date. Very feminine.

 

I also love the photos for ATW. The photo for TTWII is just so interesting, but so simple at the same time for me.

Yeah, I have to agree that D'elles has a wonderful layout as well. The photos are beautiful and the font used for the lyrics is amazing.

 

To go a little out of the box...I really like the concept and layout used for quite a bit of the "My Heart Will Go On" singles throughout Europe. There are two that are based off of the movie theme songs Celine sang and another that had a "Heart" theme. Another single that was pretty cool too was the "Because You Loved Me" single themed around "The Songs Of Diane Warren."

Ahaha. I don't think they knew what Photoshop was back in the day.

However... I do love the D'elles and TCH layout a lot. Though, I personally don't fancy Unison very much either lol

im not after the photoshopped pictures, but my only complain is there are only 3 pictures in Unison which makes me wanna see more of the Unison photoshoots. she actually looks cute in the cover, but it could've been better if they didn't cut the picture and show at least half of her body. and the centerfold! haha it's just with the thick eyebrows. about the layout, it's understandable. the album was made in the early 1990 when Rhythm Nation and Mariah Carey (album) was also released, and their layout looks quite the same. plain white pages with the lyrics.

Unison has a bad layout because they didn't put any pictures of the GREAT photoshoot it had. If they had included the pictures of the promo single of Have A Heart or Any Other Way, you'll change your mind
