Sony Music and René Angelil are proud to announce the release of Celine’s brand new album “Missing” Chances scheduled for the third quarter of 2008. A follow-up to the massive selling, record shattering Taking Chances released last year, “Missing” Chances will be choc-full-o hit singles that we have absolutely no intentions of releasing. Instead, we will be bringing back Vito Luprano so he can on focus of 45, yes 45 remakes of Celine’s own remakes such as If you asked me to (duet with Patti Labelle), The Power of Love (uptempo mix) and Alone (2008 version). The extraordinary album will feature more than 60 songs and the lead off single will be an amazing rendition of My Heart Will Go On (10th year commemorative mix). Of course, as in albums passed, we have no intention of releasing any videos or do any promotion to support it. René Angelil: “This will be Celine’s best album ever! We are so excited to have Vito back! We have so many great singles to choose from, we don’t know which to decide on. Ok i think maybe we just need to settle down a bit.The quote about celine dying was not a good idea but was just someone's opinion(infact their brothers) not their wish.Quotes like that happen when someone feels they are among friends or in a place they feel comfortable to express an opinion,which we all are in here.We all make mistakes ok,we need to learn to forgive,explain what was wrong and move on.This topic was not started about this and hopefully will not continue about this.This thread is merely showing our frustrations in the handling of Celine's career direction of late,please dont shut this because one person made a mistake(ofcourse this is just my opinion mods)

when I don't like something about celine I never talk about it with celine nonfans because I know it will ruin her image,I only play the songs that I love for them.

but here with celine fans sometimes I say what I don't like or what I feel.cause I know it doesn't do anything wrong for celine cause we all share a love about her.If we say something it does not mean we hate celine or something.

Oh my, Joey! I can't help but relate very much with your frustration and feelings around the handling of Celine's career and the flow of her personal life as of late. You've given us something to giggle at, which is great, but sadness hangs over your post in a big, big way! The thing we all have to remember is that it is Rene who brought Celine to us because of his gambling ways and big ambitions. I think because I have the experience of being a mother, I can relate to what look likes Celine's go-with-the-flow reliance on her manager and record company. Her heart is where it should be...with her family. I'm just really glad that we're blessed with more chances to see the legend in concert, and I'm so pleased that she seems to be trying her best to connect with us fans and give what she can to us by signing autographs and posing for pictures. As a fan, it is so exciting just to come to this forum and meet new people, learn new and interesting things about her, her music, her world. And of course, to dream of one day meeting this special lady who seems so down-to-earth despite leading a very unique, sequestered life over many years. I hope that she goes into semi-retirement soon, enjoys RC and any future kids she chooses to have, and then blesses us with a beautiful single every now and again. That would make this fan very happy!!

I agree about sony, they should do more to promote Celine's music.

But I don't think Celine and Rene have done anything wrong. Vegas was a good thing for them, at the time. Obviously her career isn't her priority, their family is- but I think that's the way it should be, for all artists, for all people, even. Success comes and goes, but the people you love is what really counts. If that means more vegas, and less promotion, I don't care.

 

And yeah, that is sick and twisted, about her dying. And I don't think her spirit is dead, that's a horrible thing to say.
