WOW! Monica, I love every pic. The last pic is very romantic, René isn't sexy for me :whistling1: but he's a gentleman that's for sure. ^_^

Hi Gary,

I recently read your comment on For Keeps, the new book on Céline Dion, written bij Jenna Glatzer. I was surprised by your opinion and can only imagine this opinion was born because you dont like Céline. It must be hell for a Céline-hater to read a complete book about her and see hundreds of pictures and letters... I can imagine it was shocking and you still have nightmares from that book... ;-)

But there is one thing I'd like to add. As a reviewer you should be able to put aside your own opinion and judge the book in an objective way. I think this is the first lesson students learn at the school for Journalism: put aside your own opinion when you interview people or give reviews, be objective, just tell people what you see and not what your personal opinion is. I have news for you: nobody cares about the fact that you dont like Céline. What people care about, is a well considered review. A review that does not only say that a book is bad because it says that Céline is so good and so nice. The things you mention (loads of pictures, letters, a report card, things like that) are great items for true fans and you should be aware of that. Besides that, Céline really IS a person that has a great personality and good heart. I have been able to meet her backstage and was impressed by her appearance, kindness and the fact that she was very down to earth.

So, back to school for you, take some more lessons on Journalism. After that judge the book again and remember: you should never judge a book by its cover!

Bellamy, that interview (AH) as well as her words there has nothing in common with the way she is opened in this book. And talking about imbrion is less we could read there..There's a big difference in style. And that was _american interview (nothing new and special)_ with absolutely nervious Celine while she was speaking as she was in a hurry..But that's Ok too....

Sometimes I become sad after reading her books. And this one in particular gives me the feeling that it is almost the end - as she opens all the sercets. But IT IS almost all...

After reading I got the feeling that all the problems in her younger age was very light, weather it about contracts, singing, making show wheli she's flu and etc...Now all problems and troubles in her life became more and more serious. I just got the feeling after the book...Now it's cancer of her father, of her own cyst and etc. It's all getting more serious. And take more attention and things that follow all that...

Yes, something in this opened things are very cute and charming and I had a lot of laugh. But at the same time I understand that I don't want to know several things. I don't want to know that she still suffers so much about things that visually bring us happyness and gladdnes. I don't want to know that she was crying about it and sometime still does it. I don't want to know that she pays such a price - because I didn't ever ask her to do it. and I don't need all that by such a price for her...I don't want her to smile while she's ready to cry. I don't want her to do all those crazy things just because she thinks fans will like it. Not even a single song deserve such sacrifice (as the story about "Naked") or even a fan...

That's what I wanted to say. After my gladness passed by I understood that not everything is so easy. I knew it before of course. But now it different thing. I hope you'll understand..

But why now? Why now to open all the things? Why not in previous book? My head goes round. I guess It will be enough for me to read from time to time just first 2 chapters...Enough! Sometimes it's too difficult to see things in the book which lyes under surface and to know sometimes things that I think shouldn't be revealed and had to be kept just for two, just for personal life, just for 'secret garden'...

P.S. I'm glad she didn't open "L.V". Something beautiful remains....as a secret.

Sorry but this makes no sense to me.

For God's sake, she is a human being. Did you think her life was a perfect fairy tale? Sorry but there is no such thing. Life isn't all happiness. We all have relatives sick, we all have health issues, we all make sacrifices, we all have hard days at work, we all have sadness in our lives once in a while. Celine is a human being like us, it is normal that by reading her bio you'd find these things too. And this is why I love her, because she is a real woman like me, with troubles and joys. This brings her closer to us.

I also think that it's up to her to decide what is ok to reveal or not.

You have a choice. If you don't want to know... then don't read it and don't buy her bios.

Monica, don't protect her from me. I feel for her the same as you.

It's not the point.

I don't have ideal Celine in my mind also and I don't mind she's not ideal or suffers and cries sometimes. Book is full not only sad things but happy ones too. But for me the main thing is in the details.

That's ok that she misses her farther but , maybe it's not for me to know that she use to smell his cologne sometimes for several reasons. (i know her feelings because personaly I lost my farther too when I was 18 and I know how it hurts and how it feels and I maybe did the same thing as she did...but...)

I mean - it's all good! But maybe this strange book-feeling of mine exists because I know, for example, that you or I will understand her doings and will be carefull with her opened family intimates things, but this book will be read by someone like Mr. Gary also - and that is why I want kind of protect her life from them and that's why I think sometimes that something shouldn't be opened. Maybe that way. I don't know how to explain. It's just my feeling. That there's something too treasure to open...for everyone. This book gives me very intimate feeling that I've been trust enough to open me these secrets of hers but the next moment I understand that thousands will read them too, and not everyone will be a good and proper person, and exactly in this moment I think - it's too much opened and I got questions why it is so, why not to treasure it...

From time to time I understand that (this was said in book also): maybe she tried to be not so DIVA for people, to look more fragile and, yes, more human being...That's Ok, I understand.

You know this book is full of personal perseption of the author and full of perseption of the other people who worked with Celine. Many things THEY told about her also...Like, her secrets, strong and weak sides of life, were opened by others without asking permission...

But that's the way this book is. It is its style. This is good book. But it's not easy to read. That's what I wanted to say. Though it's very nice to see all the detail - we're all very curious.

P.S I don't against human Celine. It's just the way of the book writes about several things... Many, many intimate things were known, imagined, coming through thinking to me long before I wrote this book and facts. Most of the things are not new. But the details... that is ALL that makes the difference.

P.P.S. Raluca, read that book for sure. It's worth it. At least it gives something to think about and gives the feelings.

Too much complication for nothing.

The point is: Celine decided to talk about it, let others talk about it and let the world read about it. She was the one who decided to go into details because she wanted to. It's her choice. So let her do what she wants. She wants to do it so let her do it. So maybe you don't like it but she likes to do it and others (like me) like to read/hear what she wants to say.

So again, the ones who don't like it don't have to read it.

But still I didn't get the answers why it is just now, time is now, to be so opened for her. And I know I won't get them as the talking get such a way. But that's ok too.

About the point "don't buy and don't read" I just wanted to say that I'm already bought and found out things I was writing about. And wanted to share it thus. Would be stupid to deny that this is not ordinary book like the others. I was expecting something - I got something beyond expectation. That is the point of buying something and books also. And that's why opinion appears.

Ok. From now I will be like the others: saying prazes good and loud, and how cute the pictures are.

I think this book revealed more secrets cause Jenna write it in this style, and she asked Celine a lot intimate questions. I always think Celine is an open book, just depends who ask her the questions.

Okay Mr.White your comments about Jenna's book are totally rude,crude and undeserved!why and how can you say such hurtful things?it is so uncalled for!It's hard enough to fathom anyone's wishing to own "For Keeps," but it defies comprehension that anyone anywhere might actually shell out $39.95 plus tax for it. Think of what else you could buy with that 40 bucks -- the collected works of Shakespeare, a tank of gas, several bottles of Pepto-Bismol.devoted fans like myself are willing to save the money and pay the 39 dollars for the book or if you want to save 15 dollars go to amazon.com and buy it for 20 something! a sonogram image from Dion's pregnancy, perfect for tacking up on one's own refrigerator. Heck, why stop there? Why not gynecological exam notes or dental X-rays or a used Kleenex? I love the little "keep sakes" you can pull out of the book and the sonogram of her baby Rene Charles was amazing I am so glad she shared that with us!why are you so hateful toward Celine and Jenna?neither of them has done anything to you.so leave them alone!!Dion apparently decided the world clamored for a 192-page, hardcover valentine to herself. For no reason ppl cal it a "cofee tablebook" I have it fr like 3 weeks and it is soooooo great Jenna did a good job making a book like this for the fans, and 9/10 reviews I've read are all positive. Writers who write about Céline should do things Jenna did more often, just ask the fans wat they would like to know.. I'm not saying the other 2 official biographies s***s but they are so much alike the same things be spoken of and so on.. No For Keeps is the book really for the FANS
