"I Drove All Night" as the opening song

^_^ Now that I think about it I don't think Tonight We Dance is a good choice for the moment...

However like someone mentioned Naked should be in this tour and so should Reveal. What are they thinking? Here Céline goes saying when recording EOM that she needs more uptempo tracks to sing on her tours, but still she have Naked,Reveal,When The Wrong One Loves You Right,Sorry For Love and Your Light, and still she leaves them out and go singing booring ballads we've all heard one too many times... :confused:

Its a great opening. From the lyrics: :"I drove all night, to get to you..." it sounded like she travelled all the way to countries to sing to them.

"I drove all night to get to you, is that alright?" nothing says opening act than that. Perfect opening song, up-tempo with a great sort of acapella intro... LOVE IT

 

i couldnt agree with you more - i think it opens the show in the perfect way and i love the song!!

It would make the into much more cohesive if she wore a similar outfit... almost as though she was stepping out of the opening video and onto the stage... I'm a little surprised that she's not doing this already.

 

And I do love that she's finally showing some skin with her short dresses, rather than covered from head to toe in some skin tight jumper thing... but the black dress she's been wearing really should go. Or at least not wear it for so long. Same thing for the sparkly dress and leather boots/sleeves that she wears for the next segment of the show. Those are kinda dull outfits. I could see her starting the show in a trench coat, then ripping it off to reveal a short dress that's ultra chic and sexy...

 

It almost feels as if the show itself is loosing momentum with these lackluster outfits, especially considering she's been doing a few shows where she doesn't change at all. :cry: I still have my fingers crossed for the European and American legs of the tour...

Yes, It is the right choice (according to most of your opinion) but I wonder why audiences are not exited much. They seem to be lifeless. :(

especially considering she's been doing a few shows where she doesn't change at all.

 

she only did 3 shows without changing. 2 were because of regulations (1 with the yellow MHWGO dress) and 1 because of the weather. i dont see why this is such a big fuss :shifty:

Prior to the concert I also thought that TC would have been much better to start the show but once you're there the build up and excitement with IDAN is completely amazing!!! Trust me.... My heart nearly jumped out of my chest lol! The video intro with the photos past and present was out of control where I was sitting the audience were completely responsive and when she said "Is that alright MELBOURNE?" people seemed to go crazy for it.... IT WAS AWESOME! :clap:

I love IDAN being the opening song...it brings all the energy to the show RIGHT away...I love the beginning... :in_love:

Personally I've never liked IDAN but in some ways I would not mind it being the opening song since it's is an upbeat song and then I would be happy when it was finished so I could enjoy the other songs in the show that I like. :giggle:

I Would have opened the show with "Shadow Of Love" Imagine:

"You can run, but you cant hide ,cause your livin in the shadow of my love.....Is that ok with you (Country EXAMPLE Lebanon) and then go into the song from the begining ...: I Live my life like a run-away......

it was fun :giggle: until some crazy people behind us were too chicken to tell us themselves that we were blocking them. they had to call some stupid usher :shifty:

IDAN is hard because it is a cover, and it was never that popular. But the theme is perfect for an intro and the remix and movie are INCREDABLE! I've had it stuck in my head for days.

 

The best intro was definitly for the LTAL tour, unable to stay, unwilling to leave leading into either mhwgo or ltal, but they can't do that again, the titanic era is over. And I really think "driving all night" is suitable for this tour.

 

I'd definitly prefer an older song like IDAN to something like TC which people are still learning. It makes sense to start with a song people know (even if they know it from cyndi lauper)

 

And finally, I think they should change the a capella transition to this:

the remix comes close to the end, and she sings her ooh oh yeah! part as its closing (while she's still hidden). Then the tvs lift and she's there. Then they start the way they have it (a capella "I drove all night to get to you...etc). Then I would also change the music, so its more in with the rest of the intro.

Yes, it is. As Celine sang " I drove all night to get to you" I know that lyric talks about " all of us". (Fans)
