How can you compare them? They're so different. However, my vote goes to D'elles - her French CDs are generally in a different class to her English ones.

My vote goes to D'elles. In my opinion it is her best album so far and the best cd I ever listened to.

The lyrics are art. There not anything on Taking Chanced that can reach the depth of a "Je cherche l'ombre".

Taking chances is an experiment with good and bad parts but it doesn't follow a concept. Although the songs of the album are a good mixture I still get the feeling that D'elles is much more varied. Every single piece of D'elles is different and special. I also think that D'eux is overrated and that S'il suffisait d'aimer is more or less the better version of D'eux.

Haha ....Manuel, La Diva is one of the songs that I can listen to over and over. It took me lots of spins to like it... now I really appreciate her vocal prowess in it, and Maria Callas' vocals just make it more haunting

I have to disagree with you. While I lurve D'elles...there are several songs that kinda sound a like. On TC, every single song sounds completely different from one another. Granted it's not a concept album...but most albums in the world aren't...so why would TC be?

This is so hard to do. I love songs on Taking Chances and D'elles so I'd have to say both. A Cause is probably my fav on D'elles along with some other ones. I really love all of them on Taking Chances but I can't decide. I'd be here for hours. So, both.
