Thecolourofmylove Posted March 3, 2008 at 11:26 PM Author Posted March 3, 2008 at 11:26 PM (edited) One of my favorite song. I know it's the hardest song in TC for Celine. Very beautiful and emotional. Now, I almost can't resist to buy this box anymore. DONT resist! You won't be disappointed!! I did come into trouble b/c its region 2, but I have a decoder on my PC and made an R1 copy for myself. EDIT : The Decoder is FREE and available worldwide : Google 'DVD43' Edited March 3, 2008 at 11:34 PM by Thecolourofmylove Quote Bryan Beavers | Create Your Badgehttp://badge.facebook.com/badge/577905483.228.1040373769.pnghttp://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o84/nafnoid23/Untitled-2.jpg
sangstar Posted March 3, 2008 at 11:43 PM Posted March 3, 2008 at 11:43 PM wow is my first reaction. The first time i heard My Love i felt like crying as well, celines emotion singing about these sacrifices we make; sometimes we get so carried away with life and what may feel 'important', loved ones feel neglected, but just to let them know, that no amount of success, money or whatever is more important, and all of that would be given up in a second. Well thats my interpretation. My Love always brings a lump in my throat, and sometimes i do end up crying, not only because of celine's emotion, but also because i feel it describes what i feel concerning loved ones, like celine said, a kind of therapy, i dunno its hard to describe the emotion, like overwhelming sense of love, you carry on doing these things/continuing on the path to express your love for that person, nothing else matters. But then think, i put myself through all this for you because i love you so much, would you do the same if roles were switches. Damn its hard to explain. thank you for putting the video on youtube, really appreciated. Quote
becomplete Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:08 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:08 AM Thank you so much for uploading! It is the most touching and most interesting TC recording session video and I wonder why it hadn't been shown from the very start with TTWIM,EOM, etc? However, the song is one of the best on the album and so is the video for it Quote
Black Kitten Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:12 AM thanks for sharing! now i want to have the box set so badly. Quote
tcherno Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:13 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:13 AM thanks a lot for the video and i mean a lot...as i said somewhere before, I didn't like My Love (during the 30s preview) but later i found myself listening to it many times. one of my favourite on TC album. especially when Celine begins that part:"See I would share my whole life with youWould you do the same for me?I would give all I am to youWould you do the same for me?" 1- I loved when Linda explained to Celine the meaning of the song. at least, now she knows what she's singing about 2- i didnt know that Linda looks that good Quote
minolli Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:34 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:34 AM Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this incredible video! I love to see the behind-the-scenes stuff, and the recording of "My Love" was so great to watch. It was so touching and it made me love the song even more! I love that the song was written for and about Celine, I think that is something that is so great about her French albums that is occasionally missing from the English ones. It adds so much to Celine's performance. (It probably also helped that Linda took the time to really explain to Celine where the song came from and what it means...) 1- I loved when Linda explained to Celine the meaning of the song. at least, now she knows what she's singing about I agree Quote http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lsg43qJH1b1qa4phqo1_400.jpg
mebe Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:45 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:45 AM 1- I loved when Linda explained to Celine the meaning of the song. at least, now she knows what she's singing about I would expect each writer to do the same. That means that the guy who wrote Skies of LA never sat with Celine to discuss the song like Linda did. Too bad! Quote
Mohsin Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:50 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:50 AM It was nice to see a very different and vulnerable side to Celine that we have never seen before. I loved this clip. Quote
tativale Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:51 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:51 AM well..... i think it's to dramatic. Saying that celine is not "happy" is too much. Anyway.... saying that she doesn't know how to say 'no' is too much. For sure years ago celine didn't know how to say 'no' and how to express herself well when she faced things she didn't like at all. She used to share too much in my opinion. But I think what Linda wants to say is that it's kind of controversial in a way, i mean, where is the balance - how to find it - there's a celine who wants to sing forever and a celine who wants to have a normal life. Maybe she doesn't know which one to take yet, completely. Anyway..... but I understand it. Many people thought about a person , but it's not a person, it's a thing - success, fame, business life. Interesting. But I don't like when things are to dramatic, when Celine cries of pain ----- anyway heheh i want to have this collection so badly! hehehe Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/tativale/lildoll.gif"Sometimes we talk with our eyes and it says more than 10,000 words" moiIt's always possible to change! sayyed Posted March 4, 2008 at 02:03 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 02:03 AM thanks for posting this. And I agree, the first minute after watching this I fell silent. Quite a statement. And thanks to Linda for reading between the lines. I can imagine why they left that off the Sessions. I'm sure it's very much aboutr all thet happened in the 90's. After RC everything's changed. And this session is just another moment of the new - the real - the adult - the human Céline. All of a sudden My Love became my second most played song from TC (148 spins)... lol (right after MTMH) I LOVE TCH! Quote https://soundcloud.com/finnremixes

The first time I heard the extract, this song became my favorite, even though I heard on 30 secs. Once I heard the full length, I knew this song was my ultimate favorite. It describes my situation with my life and becoming an unexpected older sister to two beautiful girls that I adore so much. And even though I'm not perfect, these little girls don't see my flaws, and they know I will always take the time for them and play my part for them, because I made clear from the start. I don't know, but this song is by far my favorite song forever. I love Celine and i always will because she is so genuine. Quote Theres nothing more I want but to meet Celine Dion! canadachick Posted March 4, 2008 at 04:51 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 04:51 AM Awww... I love Celine. At first I was upset that Linda made her cry, but I guess even if it hurts it's nice to know that someone understands you. I hope that after this tour Celine can spend some real quality time with her family and not have to worry about the artist side of herself. She really deserves it, we have to admit it. She's done this for so long and she's put her other dreams aside, let's let her go graciously. mebe Posted March 4, 2008 at 05:40 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 05:40 AM I remember when I first heard the 30sec extract of that song that was available...I didnt like it at all. I thought it would be a boring song. But this song grew so much on me. I love it now. And knowing that Celine went through all this during the recording session makes me love it even more. That's interesting to know that Celine almost cried all the way through the song when recording it. It is pure emotion. Quote

sangstar Posted March 4, 2008 at 11:42 AM Posted March 4, 2008 at 11:42 AM totally agree with you. celine has done alot for us all in different ways, now she wants to really live her life, and thats with her family how we do, she does truely deserve it, and will make her happy. I hope that after this tour Celine can spend some real quality time with her family and not have to worry about the artist side of herself. She really deserves it, we have to admit it. Jacqui Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:15 PM Posted March 4, 2008 at 12:15 PM I kind of agree with those who said it all seems a bit over dramatic.I mean, most people struggle at some point, to find a balance between their careers and their family lives. But Celine made this choice, and she keeps on making the same choice. How many times have we heard her say, over the years, how much she would like to just settle down and be a housewife? She said it before Vegas, during Vegas, and she still says it now, yet then she goes on tour and starts thinking about the next 20 years in show business? I understand that she's passionate about both singing and her personal life- which I love about her- but how have I ended up feeling sorry for her? She made the decision. She didn't have to. And she has a pretty good life. She constantly talks about how excited and happy and loved she feels. Is that all just an act? I doubt it, she just seems too genuine. That said, is there more to the song that maybe I'm missing? I agree that even after hearing this, I'm not sure that I 100% "get it." Quote
