It's AWESOME! I just adore this song! Funny how I didn't think a thing of it when I very first heard it but now it's one of my favorites. Linday Perry has done way too many drugs though in her day, she looks like the 7th circle of hell. Celine got very emotional during this recording! I do love the lyrics and I love the emotion in her voice. Thanks so much for making it seen!!

That was really wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing. I love her so much and hope that, after this tour, she takes another 2 - 3 years off and just enjoys her life with her husband and her child and her family. She so deserves it.

It's a bit exagerated. OK, when she was 12, she didn't know who she was, no one knows who they are at that age. And we all have moments when we question ourselves and think for a second about who are we really. Linda makes it sound so much more tragic that it is and it makes it sound like Celine is some kind of stupid puppet. And she's definatelly not. She knows what she's doing very well, she's a very intelligent woman, who, at times, has doubts like any other person on Earth. And the thing with cooking breakfast for her kid in the morning. I mean....c'mon! If I had to choose between cooking my kid breakfast or showing him the world, I'd choose to show him the world. Celine wanted this tour, no one made her. Celine wanted Las Vegas, no one forced her to do it. When you really do what you do with real passion, which is her case, the things that you have to leave aside aren't really a sacrifice. And Celine is an artist to the bone. A real one. That will never go away. When she does stop, she does miss singing. And she's smart enough to joggle between the two. I think Celine cried more because she remembered how she was a while ago, when she wasn't making too many decisions. But things changed a lot, especially after the baby. She said it herself many times, that now she learnt how to say "No" and she's very active in all decisions concerning her career. But I guess Linda did all that just to get her in the right mood for the song, to get those incredible vocals out of her. Like David Foster and Rene did with "All by My Self" when they got her all angry and then they asked her to sing The Note.

Glad to know at least one song from this album was specifically written for it, for Celine, after a talk with her, much in the way her French album are done.

PS: God, I love those shoulders!

Hehe, congrats to Linda for seeing Céline... hehe, I have been thinking about posting something like this about Céline for some time, but I knew that the thread would be slayed by the Stepfordians... It's it's real people, face it, she's human.

 

I will repeat myself: I wish Linda Perry and John Shanks would be the only producers of TC, they brought out the best of her, and gave her the best sound and the most welcomed change of all producers on TC...

Yep! I agree with fred. MY love is the song I always skip from my Taking Chances CD. I don't know why. Maybe because of its a sad song for me. The song is beautiful but I don't want to hear it. Because of something else. It's a matter with regards to Celine.
