Taking Chances World Tour DVD Pre-Release Thread Part 1

I'd expect it around Christmas time, folks. They want to make the big money and sales for the most wonderful time of the year.

 

Yep. Let's hope that plan works and the DVD sells big time again like LILV!

 

 

But I hope it won't be delayed for 4 years like AND LILV which was supposed to be release in fall 2004 but was released on December 2007 because if that is the case, we can expect this new DVD on 2013. We all how as$hole Sony can be.

They only delayed LILV cos of the blonde hair on the original DVD, so they waited until 2007, the best and final year with better costumes and songs!

I wish Celine didn't perform much concerts in Germany and Australia. They were not sold-out. Instead, she should have dropped in Asia more!

 

It's the wrong topic for this but besides that would have been unfair to all the Australian and German fans; keep in mind the rescheduling

 

I really can't wait for this DVD to come, I have been excited since Melbourne for it

 

 

I have to agree with Denelle. If it weren't for the rescheduling, and if they had actually done a little promotion (not necessarily even Celine, just the tour promoters could have advertised better!) the shows here could have definitely sold out!

I was the very lucky and fortunate guy to have the record signed from her Tampa concert on 1/28/09. Also the hug and kiss I received from Celine I will most certainly never forget. I never thought i'd be able to see her live but then that first dream came true when I saw her live for the first time in NYC on 9/15/08. I was 18 rows or so back on the floor but the tampa concert was front row seats )). After my interaction with Celine, one of the official camera guys was taping me holding my record smiling. So all in all I hope my celine moment is on the dvd, one for the memories and second for the crisp clarity of it being on dvd. YAY Celine, Sony bring us a dvd release date.................

I hope your meeting will be featured on the dvd too - i love seeing "real" fans meeting her. I can't wait to see this show - it's such a long time since i saw it in May 08

I'm sooo incredibly anxious for this dvd. I never made it to her vegas shows so if she does indeed go back, i'm definitly going to go. My second dream is to have a side by side picture with Celine and the chance to say to her(cause i was near speechless in tampa) that her fan Corey has gotten threw so many rough times in life through her music and its also hightened my joy during the happy times as well. Her grace, warmth, and sweet angelic voice is something that I will always appreciate. She's such an inspiration and i'll forever have love and appreciation for Celine. I hope her dream comes true for a second baby.

Ok the Vegas DVD was delayed from 2004 to 2007, but they actually scrapped the first one and waited, so it's not like the Memphis DVD where they have the footage but just won't release it.

 

The Vegas DVD was recorded in March 2007, and released it in December. That's 9 months. The TC Tour DVD was recorded in August, and if it's released in say November then that's 15 months, which is a lot longer than other Celine DVDs...

I hope a live CD/DVD comes out soon! I love her live albums. They get to show off just how good her band is.

 

I think it would be awesome if she recorded her next studio album using her band members. They rock! I get excited when I see Mego, Barnev, or Dominique at the live shows. Not as much as when my girl comes out on stage. But I think we have all gotten use to the band members.

 

Back to the post, I hope she releases the Taking Chances Tour on CD/DVD and I hope it is soon!

Well, the Memphis concert was released on vcd. So it wouldn't be much different than that if it was released on dvd.

And the TC dvd probably wouldn't take that long if they only gave us the show. It'll take longer cos they've got to decide what footage to use for the bonus features, and edit it all etc. I can't wait to watch it though. And it won't be that long - it's already almost May.

I didnt think the Live in Las Vegas dvd was worth the wait I just hope that we don't have to wait as long for the tour dvd and if we do that it's not a big let down like the Vegas dvd, I thought for as long as we waited the dvd would have been better, I wish they hadn't done two different versions I would have much rather had the Quebec version than the US one. Quebec got alot better behind the scene's things than the US one. If we much longer for the tour dvd I'm going to scream, it's been way long enough since they recorded to two shows that are going to be used on the dvd so why not just release the dvd already?

Guys remember what I said before, in Fort Lauderdale Aaron (the dancer) told us that the DVD will be released next year because they have A LOT of footage to go through.

 

I am thinking that if they hurry up they came release it in December for Xmas... but i don't think it will be anything time soon.

I think the best thing for both fans satisfaction and sales figures would be something like this: Live album from the tour, with the best of the tour, summer 09 release. Live DVD, with full concert plus rare songs from the tour as extra material, pre-christmas 09 release.

 

I think it is time for a live album with a 'best of live performances'-theme, rather than just picking some songs from one single concert (and always ending up picking the same booring songs). And the Taking Chances tour is the perfect ground for that kind of concept. A lot of material have been recorded so they do have the material. Plus it wouldn't be concufusing at all with some easy editing to merge the ending and the beginning applauses between the tracks, giving the illusion of it all being from the same concert. And the tacklist? Simply, the best from this tour, rare tracks included, plus live tracks wich have been hits but not included on other live albums. Example:

I went to 2 concerts and i didn't see any smoke, might be some humidity thing or hot smoke to warm the place, i don't know how cold was Montreal those days.
