Songs rejected for Taking Chances from...

I'm totally not into this whole r'n'b stuff and I'm so happy Céline decided her new album to be rockish and not r'n'bish!!!

 

I really like "Apologize" (but the "huh huh" annoys me, hehe...) but it works because it has been recorded by a less known artists, a newcomers - new voice in the music industry!

I don't think this song would work for Céline'

 

I deffinitely love rock songs - regular rock and rock ballads!!!

 

Thanks God the "TCH" sounds like it sounds!!!

 

Of course it probably could be better but just with some great rock ballads or songs like "TJTWIM" but not with this whole n'n'b crap...

yeh the r n b songs off that lot are rubish and rock has always suited celine better. its naturally in her voice

I think, we should leave the rnb stuff where it's best... at Whitney... when she uses something similar for her comeback, it may fit...

 

But the one and only other legendary voice, Celine, decided right, she does ROCK for us, added some BLUES, BALLADS, HYMNS and Eyes On Me (Love it, Dance everytime I hear it )... it's so different to all she'd ever done before, rnb would only be another part of the softer side from Celine, I think she want to show us, that she's more powerful, more variable, a powerful woman...

 

Why did you think she took "The Reason I Go On" and "Map To My Heart" off the album?

She and we all know that she can do ballads better then everyone else...

That's what I'm starting to think... My sister likes the singer of I see a little light and she said she also has a Spanish version of that song and it was released last year... I don't know if Céline could have been offered that song specially for taking chances, seeing that she started recording this year...

after hearing these songs... I am SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY Taking Chances ended up the way it did!!! All those bubbling r 'n b songs are great for Janet or even Mariah, but for Céline The only two songs I could imagine Céline singing are See a little light and If we were... the rest is not my cup of tea!!! Céline took the right chance to go with the Rock flow!!!

I'm VERY happy those songs were rejected!! Come on, R'nB is huge in the US, but that's about it. Imagine Celine's European fans hearing those songs from Celine's mouth. She would have been laughed at. The change would have been too big!!! I'm happy Celine and Sony kept some of those songs (the ones she already recorded) and it means they have plan to release them at some point. Maybe a new album will be released after her tour is finished - with a more R'nB feel (since the songs recorded and not used yet are R'nB songs) and after fans are used to a different Celine... or on her next Collectors' Series Album? These songs would sure fit on a Collector's Edition....

Well, I've listened to all the songs and all I can say is that I'm glad Celine recorded Taking Chances the way it is... The only songs I liked are See a Little Light and If We were... I got noghint left is definitely the best Ne-yo song. So I guess Celine's choices were right.

I also liked Scream by Timbaland but not sure it would have been a good song for Celine...anyway it would not have been appropriate for the album as it is now.

 

Of course Apologize is amazing and I would have liked to hear Celine sing it.

But The way I are, even if it's good, is not a song for Celine.

heard all songs......seriously speaking i only heard mariah, britney, whitney in those rejected songs.....and thanks god it is not a R&B genre album...truly speaking....those songs are well-receive in US i believe...as most of the songs seems to be a hits in US market.....personally i would love to hear Celine recording apologize... but too bad....it is never make it....i guess will never will....i can hear Celine voice in this song....the rest just keep and save it for rihanna...beyonce...britney....mariah...maybe they will really make a big hits out of these songs

Sure but certainly not 2 years ago... I know that you would be really happy to know that she could have sung those songs, but it's rather a fan dream than a real fact, sorry.

Let us not forget that Celine doesn't record a song with a hit in mind! I would have liked to hear "Apologize" out of her mouth but maybe...she just didn't feel a connection to it? Celine once said that it's either a song works for her or it doesn't at all.

HEY IM 16 AND I RESPECT CELINE!!!

I've listened to her music since i was 4! got my first album at 6

and saw her at wembley stadium when i was 8

and im going to see her again when im 17!!

 

So there are some young people out there who Love and respect Celines music

and IMO Celine would have been made a fool of to sing some of thoes songs!!
