So tonight was the first night I have ever seen Celine actually enter the floor to the stage. i guess I'm always too busy watching the screen but they had a spotlight and everything. Hmmm.

So i had an idea of where she would be leaving and I TOOK THE CHANCE. lol. I left my mom in the seat and I should of had her take my camera but she didnt know how to work it! During RDMH I went to the floor and found Nick- who is ADORABLE and I totally have a crush on lol. He hugged me and kissed me on both cheeks and said "I was so shocked to see you in the meet and greet. I wanted to come talk to you but you were crying" I was like, yeah, Celine does that to me. he and I had a long talk about my school and major and how I wanted to just ride the plane back with him lol. He said he would fold me in half and stick me in his suitcase lol. He also told me to stop coming to the shows lol. He asked what I did for a living and I said i was in school and he was like, well, you just got the picture of a lifetime! And i totally agreed! He pulled out his phone and if mine and not been dead I would have asked him for his digits lol. NOT!!! okay maybe. =)

So I asked if that was where Celine would be exiting and he said they were really sure yet because some stuff had changed but he said just stand here so i did. I was RIGHT next to the stairs that go up to the stage. (ya'll know what Im talking abot right?) and as Celine came around the stage during MHWGO she spotted me down there and pointed and sand. Oh, then i was a puddle in the floor ) I saw the camera men coming that way and i knew she would be exiting! i wasnt ready to say goodbye yet. I already missed her so much so one more hug would really top off the night! So out everyone came. i tried to pull a kimberly and keep the camera video recording but as soon as she came out i accidently hit the button and stopped it! =( BUT i was on the big screen so yet again another youtube manhunt for the video of Celine exiting! =) She stopped and didnt really hug but kinda did a half grab and I kissed her on the cheek! and there she went! =) =)
it was really cute beacuse as she was saying good bye after MHWGO, she turned to Maman Dion and siad "i'll see YOU in a little bit!" o boy. to be apart of that family!

So this is my LAST concert for a while and I have to say that this has been the time of my life. Things have happened to me that I couldnt have imagined up in my own lifetime. And I truly believe that when you have a genuine heart and dream big... things will come your way. Now, not all thigns are jsut handed out and that was the lesson I learned. You have to reach for them yourself but most the time we are in arms reach but just dont have the gumption to go for it. I have so much enjoyed sharing all this with you. It is so hard to find someone who genuinly cares and understands and I feel so blessed to have each one of you. Now go out there and make your Celine dreams come true too! And just remember. its only a dream to those who think it cant happen, to anyone else.. its just what the future holds!
LOVE YOU ALL!!!! if i think of more I will add!

Oh, and a little sidenote. One of my stuarts (or female version of that) on my plane saw my Celine thsirt and said she was going to the fort lauderdale show and was so excited but she had a ticket to sale for 200 bucks. she said it was a really good seat and I told her about this place! She is originally from South Africa. I wrote down the website and gave her my username. hopefully she'll come around, even if only to post about the ticket for sale. She even wrote her number on a napkin so I could call her and tell her all about the meet and greet. =) CUTE!

I have one question for you: How have you done to have a "meet and greet" with Céline? I'm asking that question because it's also my dream to have,one day, a "meet and greet" with her. I'm waiting for that moment since 12 years but it was'nt on that tour that happen for me :cry: Maybe one day, I hope :ermm: :confused:

Awe Chelsey that drawing is so good! I think that she must love fan drawings that include any member of her family and hubby the most. :wub: Wouldn't it be cool if she framed it and put it up in one of her houses?! :w00t:

It looks like you could have an alternate career if you chose to go that route.

You could also do like my friend and keep drawing and getting better and make money and sell your art work online, at art conventions, or have people ask you to draw something for them and then make you an offer. She has no job now, but makes good money on each piece of art she does to make ends meet.

She's not half the drawer you are when it comes to portraits! Her best area is water color and she has a thing for dragons and other creatures as well as landscapes. She is actually in art school part time.

I don't really care for Celine's dress, because the pattern is all over the place, but the area on her arm

and right above the string around her looks cute ha ha.

If you did sell your work more money to further your education, life, and more Celine shows woo hoo! :yes:

Better Than: Going To Vegas

Celine Dion. She of the fabulous legs. Celine Dion. She of the non too subtle emotions. Celine Dion. She of the rubber faced camera muggings. Celine Dion. She of certifiable stardom.

Truth be told, they don't make 'em like her anymore.

Yet, there are those that loathe her. The mere mention of her name can elicit a glut of emotions. This actually happened to me at the upstairs bar at Chili's in Bayfront as I chugged a tall one before I went to the show at the American Airlines Arena Friday night. A couple next to me scarfing down Chili's Queso and sizzling fajitas ask me if I was going to see Celine. When I said, yes, the man made a vomitous gesture, sticking out his tongue as if he were wretching, revealing the food in his mouth. This is the kind of reaction Celine can sometimes evoke.

An hour later, I was drinking in Celine, realizing that no matter if you love her or loathe her, she's a performer. She brought to Miami her Taking Chances World Tour, her first road trip since a five-year stint at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas ended in 2007. For those who never got to Vegas to experience the show, Dion was determined to bring a little bit of Vegas to Miami.

Her opening act was tapped from the Golden Nugget. Gordie Brown, a singing impressionist, started with some stale old bread, an impersonation of Hootie and the Blowfish (huh?), but then won over the crowd with a ranting Jim Carrey impression.

The one good thing about a Celine Dion show is it's generally punctual, and she didn't disappoint. Gordie took the stage just a few minutes after 8, and then the lights dimmed at 9.

The 40-year-old native of Quebec, performed most all of her more than 100-minute show in English, save for one French ballad. She opened with the rousing "Taking Chances." The thoroughbred knows how to work the stage, and this one was custom made for that. The elaborate set up of floor lifts kept the band in four corners, drums and percussion to the left, piano, guitars and vocals to the right. At one point, the hardwood edging turned into a moving walkway for Dion to glide across to display her most perfected of pageant runway walks.

She acknowledged some special guests in the audience including Miami's favorite pop diva, Gloria Estefan and her, husband, Emilio, whose faces were flashed on large LED screens. At one point, Dion even gave Estefan's "Conga" a little a capella go of it.

The camera was also ready to pan into Dion's mother, Thérèse Dion, as the singer told the story about the French Canadian 81-year-old who bore 14 children. Celine self-disclosed that she was the youngest. She also divulged that her son René-Charles, 8, is touring and isn't being "home schooled" but "tour schooled." "We'll see how that turns out," she said.

There's something genuine about Dion whether it's put on or not. When she nails a high note it's like an Olympic swimmer reaching the end of the pool and setting a world record. She doesn't mind a little drama, either. She dropped onto her back at the end of the cover of Eric Carmen's "All By Myself." Numerous times she dropped to her knees during a number, and in one oddly dramatic close up, the camera panned into her blowing on her fingers like she had just shot a pistol.

She mentioned that Miami was making her a bit loose (that's what they all say) in the 15 years (she also changed it to 12 years during one dialogue) since she had been in the Magic City.

Like the Vegas show from which the Taking Chances tour was spawned, there were numerous costume changes. Dion appeared in the first act wearing a tight-fitting lavender cocktail dress, and those legs! amplified by some fantastic high heels. She spent a good part of the night in a bejeweled vest and wide bellbottom slacks that were accented with the oddest looking Speedo type overlay crotch patch.

For a Motown style number, white straps crisscrossed her legs and it was difficult to tell if they were connected to shoes or from where they came from? When did white ACE bandages become a fashion statement? To close the night, and for the grand Titantic encore, she sailed across the stage in a black evening dress. Classy.

I went back to Chili's at the end of the night to try out my review on the vomitous man. I ended up finding him at Bubba Gump's where he was having a nightcap. "So how was it?" he asked. "Mind blowing," I said. Of course, he had to make his signature gesture. "Bleech," he emoted as he displayed the late night menu in his mouth. I don't believe I'll ever be able to eat Bubba Gump's Far Out Dip again.

Critic's Notebook

Personal Bias: I could have done without the retro section of the concert where Dion resurrected the song "Rag Doll" and tried to amp things up with Tina Turner's "River Deep, Mountain High." She should stick with what she does best and that's ballad singing. Ditch the disposable covers.

Random Detail: What other pop diva is Celine related to? Give up? Madonna and Celine share a common ancestor, Zacharie Cloutier, a French Canadian, who lived from 1617 to 1708.

By the Way: If you're going to the Bank Atlantic Center show in Sunrise on January 30, you'll most likely see the same show described above. The Taking Chances World Tour hasn't changed much since it started almost a year ago on February 14.

I love how Chelsey is leaning into Céline haha cuteeee. You can just see the love there I had already decided that if we got to take a picture with Céline at the soundcheck or dinner, I was going to make her do a goofy pose with me but all I could think of was Charlie's Angels and thats been done waaay too many times. Hehe I guess I have awhile to think of a new pose for whenever she goes out on tour again. But knowing me she would probably give me a hug and then I would just keep holding on to her crying all over her wonderful designer tour dress and someone would have to unlatch me.

I know what you guys mean about some people being at the soundcheck or VIP tix or whatever not being very enthusiastic. There were a lot of older people I guess you could say at ours in Nash. I think I heard that one couple had used their frequent flyer miles points to buy the soundcheck tickets. Of course you can't judge a fan by their outward appearance. I mean I looked like an innocent little girl until I walked down into the arena for the soundcheck, saw the stage and all the lights, felt my knees begin shaking and said way too loud, "Oh MY GOD!" rofl I suddenly, and on a treacherous flight of arena stairs I might add, in high heels, had forgotten how to walk. Literally, my brain was not communicating with my lower body.

I did find Canadachick at the soundcheck!!! I knew she was a true fan!! :clap: But there were only a few of us even standing up and getting excited. One of the men told me after the show that had been at the soundcheck I had highly entertained him during the show and I was like, ME? FREAKIN' CéLINE the most amazingnessest bestest wonderfullest singer in the whole history of the world is right there, of course I'm gonna be excited! :sofunny:
