Believe it or not - the Theme to The Greatest American Hero was ALWAYS played on the radio! I have the 45! LOL!! I still have a record player and a LOT of vinyls, Steve!

I forgot about the them to the Rockford Files... that one was good,

Oh... and of course the theme song to Hawaii Five - 0!!

"Rememba" these:

They should listed under the heading of "Songs on the radio by actor/actresses in a popular TV show but NOT the theme song!

Rick Springfield from General Hospital "Jessie's Girl"

David Soul from "Starsky and Hutch" had a hit song inthe 70's, forgot the name of it though.

Both the guys from the Dukes of Hazzard had top 40 songs, too-

Tom Wopat and John Schneider, but can't think of the titles either.

:hmm: I know they each had some songs out there but I'm not to sure if they were top forty. Maybe the John Schneider ones but I doubt the other guy had a hit.

Okay... how about the supporting casts... the characters who were memorable and important but not the stars...

Mama's Family!

Movin' on Up - The Jeffersons (I know I've heard that on the radio)

Love and Marriage - Married... with Children

Theme song for Miami Vice (?title?)

Different Worlds by Maureen McGovern  - Angie

And as I said before, I think Henry Mancini did the Charlie's Angel's Theme and a few other shows.

What did I miss? I can't visualize anymore old TV shows that I watched?!

Dang! I should have thought of that "Miami Vice" theme song. That thing was playing all the time on the radio in the mid '80s. :o

Here are some more but I'm still not sold on the fact that they were played on the radio alot:

Them from "LA Law."

Theme from "All in the Family"

???

I really don't recall hearing the All In The Family theme on the radio. LA LAW theme may have been... can't say for sure, either...

so can you say which show Floyd and Charlie were on?

Would that be those good ole boys from Hazard County? Bo and Luke Duke? And Waylon Jennings singing the Theme from the Dukes Of Hazard?
