Ah it was just beautiful!

It was the best concert I've seen ever!

I just love the way she acts, the way she moves and I love her emotional expressions <3

And I really hated it that I was in B13... it was the worse crowd ever :S Almost all the time I was the only one who was standing, waving at Celine singing all the songs and the rest just sat there and was looking at me like I was crazy or something? And I haven't even done very crazy things or something, just dancing a little and having fun <3

it looks like Amsterdam got by far the best concert of the tour so far....

i am so jealous....especially if I consider that we get the dull Dublin stage here in Munich.

 

But - if a city deserves the best show it is lovely Amsterdam

It was almost sold out. I'd say 95%. about 50.000 people. maybe a bit more.

Oke my story begins around 1.15 p.m. when I arrived at the hotel. There were already some fans standing outside the hotel. Some people saw Céline earlier that weekend, but she didn’t sign anything, but was only at the back of the hotel. At one point people from SBS 6 came to shoot some footage and interviewed some fans… and made them sing! LOL And like it always goes, it’s not crowed in the beginning, but in the end, it was very crowed, although not like Paris, thankfully! Around 4.50 p.m. Céline came outside and she looked smashing! Céline was very cheerful and she even gave an interview whilst signing autographs! Haha! She said that it was way too long that she’s been in Holland and that she really loves this country etc etc! And that she was still surprised to see fans here.. .like DUH!! hahaha anyway Céline made a little boat trip with some whine and family and René and René-Charles went golfing together. I was really lucky… and a little bit cheecky, but I got 5 autographs! At one point she said ‘Who’s picture is this?’, and I shouted ‘it’s mine’ and she gave it directly to me… that’s sooo cool! But I was also kind enough to take items from my side and place it on the car There was one really funny thing though… She was crabbing pictures, but the roof of the car was open, so some slipped in!! The look on Céline’s face! Hahaha You can see it in the pictures But the best was to come, cos Robin was clever enough to shout ‘Céline High Five’ and she didn’t just ‘smack’ the hand, but hold on to it! So I took my chance and I hold on to her hand too! And this sounds so obsessive… but I touched her!! :D Hahahahaha

Oke so then I went to the Amsterdam Arena and I could hear Céline do her soundcheck. I wasn’t able to hear all the songs, but I did hear Taking Chances and Fade Away…and I thought she did River Deep, Mountain High too… but I’m not sure. I heard she did Alone too. I had to pick up my TC-tickets and that went without trouble thank god! Lol! Then we had to wait till my friend came, with who I was going with and around 8 p.m. we went inside! I got to see a long lost friend, and I wished we had some more time, but I’m sure we’ll meet again The Stories were nice, but it wasn’t really so impressive IMO.

 

Around 8.50 the intro to IDAN began. And the crowd began to cheer, because they saw Céline coming to the stage! The concert was really awesome! I guess you’ve all seen the setlist and it was great to hear The Prayer for the first time on tour! She was vocally in an amazing shape! And they showed a recorded live clip of Andrea Borcelli. The songs I didn’t hear before were IACBTNM, BYLM (with the ‘Memphis’ ending), TLYM, SOL, FA, IYA, TP. It was strange, cos after IDAN I expected Destin but TPOL began! LMAO… I was really pleased with the set list… although I really missed Think Twice and That’s Just The Woman In Me… oh well… can’t have it all During We Will Rock You Céline looked me right in the eyes when she came by and during LCMM I put my thumbs up to Elise and she saw and smiled and later waved! Also after RDMH I put my thumb up to Yves and he saw it too, smiled and waved! Oh and Céline said ‘dankjeswel’ in the beginning that was soooo sweet!! And later on she went onto German cos she said danke! LMAO Céline was really into the concert and had an amazing time! Highlight for me were Shadow of Love and Fade Away, because I didn’t hear them before and they were really amazing live!! Also Alone is sublime and she’s making Taking Chances more and more her own. ABM was just jaw dropping again and My Love just pure emotion! And yes.. .the Paris Nightgown is back again! LOL

 

The only damn thing was the security! Just like in Dublin we were forced to sit down.. it was outrageous! Let people decide themselves! If you want to sit, sit and if you want to stand up, stand up! It also wasn’t fair, because we were front row, and you had to look up at the podium, but when she was on the other side, you couldn’t see her if you sat down! If people in the back couldn’t see anything, then they should have made higher podiums to sit on, just like in Paris! It’s their fault not ours! Anyways I didn’t let it ruin my night… it was a perfect ending of a row of five concerts! And I did temped myself in buying something again… the highly overprices mug! LMAO I just had to buy something! Hahaha

Really wish I could have been there after all. Would be great to see The Prayer live. But, I'm being greedy... and I should stop reading these reviews before I drive myself mad with envy!

That's so funny! And crazy! It's hilarious when she takes a photo with that first guy, and then she looks at the people in front of her that were probably jealous and says: "I know, it's not fair" with the cutest face And then she catches a toy somebody throws her way and all those remarks about having to leave etc.

Does anybody have a scan of Celine in the telegraaf? Oh s***, I have to check ED to see if there's any reviews etc. My dad said he saw Celine singing her new single on tv yesterday, but I checked every program and she wasn't in it.. He said it was in the Arena.. maybe it was in Shownieuws and you can't see that online

I'm just back from Amsterdam and these were crazy (bit more than) 24 hours!!!

 

You already know the setlist so I won't post it again...

I just say I have a HQ audio bootleg again, LOL, so I will post it here soon!

Anyway, I arrived yesterday afternoon at the hotel and it was great to meet so many familiar fans there - not only from The Netherlands but I even met Fanny, Shishi, Tam (thaitiCELINEfan) and if I'm right, I also spotted Estevam there!

It was a really nice crowd - not that huge like in Paris and not that crazy. Of course poeple were totally enthusiastic about Celine when she came out of the hotel but there is a slight different between enthusiasted and crazy, hehe... The people in Amsterdam were really polite, kind, there were no mad pushing and "killing" the others just to get an autograph! And I'm sure Celine noticed that too, she stayed much longer with us than she did in Paris and I don't think it was only because the SBS6 crew interviewed her!

 

I even managed to get one autograph - my hand was too short again, LOL, but an another helpful hand handed my stuff to Celine. Unfortunately the photo of me and my baby girl who one of my friends handed to Celine has fallen INTO the car... So Celine won't probably ever see it... Sigh... Or had just seen it after she entered the car, LOL! But there was no wrting on it so she won't have any idea who is it, hehe...

 

The sad thing: someone took away/stolen my autographed "Taking Chances" cover... So now I have a CD without a cover which sucks....

 

If anyone of you guys who were at the hotel got a "Taking Chances" booklet with an another autograph on the back (it's not Celine's autograph - it's Aaron's!) so maybe you will be kind enough to return it to me??

I would be more than happy and would really appreciate a kind returner!!!

 

The concert itself was amazing!! I met a few fans at the ArenA again and some others inside the ArenA - it was soooo great to meet all of you and to see some others of you again!!

 

The ArenA is HUGE but really nice!! It's really impressive and beautiful stadium. in my opinion. The roof was closed but it wasn't that bad as for humidity and hot air. It was WAY worser in the sprinter (the train) I took to the stadium - I came out totally wet... yieks...

 

I think Celine was in amazing shape - vocally and in terms of her mood! She was chatty and I haven't had that "bored" feeling of her I got inAnterp on the 14th.

The crowd was great too! Yeah, the security kept asking us to sit down... But we've been standing up again and again anyway, LOL! We haven't made their job easy, hahaha!

 

I really enjoyed "The Prayer" and actually I would say it was one of the real highlights of the show IF it hasn't had to replace "Think Twice"... I was soooo sad they removed "TT".... They would have removed something else... For example "The Power Of Love"!... But NO! They just remved her best English ballad ever.... :cry:

 

Now I really hope that "The Prayer" was just for Amsterdam and that we will get "Think Twice" back later - esp. in Germany, Vienna and/or in Poland....

 

In the other hand: huge HURRAY for "Fade Away"!!!! That was soooo great to finally hear this long live - for me it was for the first time!

It was on SBS6 shownieuws and they just broadcasted it again 20 minutes ago.

 

First the interview she did at the hotel: she loved being back in Holland and she said its been too long.

Amsterdam is a very charming place and Holland is beautiful with friendly people. She'd been enjoying the weather and her stay and took a boat trip on the canal and had some whine. She wondered how they knew about her boat trip and smiled: "I thought I was incognito, ticked on her glasses and smiled. They showed a clip of Celine on the boat waving at a few fans who had spotted her. She really enjoyed the boat trip and spoke about the boats and kayaks in the canals and all the bicycles and people walking around.

RC and Rene went golfing together.

Did you guys have to wait as long as we did in the parking space?? We were in parking 3 and literally waited 1 hour on the same spot.. It was really fun but also very loud, everyone was blasting out Celine music and toeteren!!!

I'm not sure if someone already mentioned this but in ArenA (same like in a few other football stadiums) you need to but a special card on which you have money to buy drinks and food in the ArenA. The cards look like a phone cards and they are available with different amount of money on it.
