SarahJB5 Posted November 2, 2007 at 09:29 PM Posted November 2, 2007 at 09:29 PM Since were talking about our lovely TeamCeline, I was just on the forum and saw a note that they posted...my apologies if this has already been posted, also they did not address the onsale ticket dates that they promised about weeks ago!!!! A Note To Members About Some Concerns... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Members, We would like to take this opportunity to address a few of the concerns that members have expressed about the ticket limit policy, the membership fee increase and the monthly contests… The reason we have limited each member to 2 TeamCeline tickets for the World Tour is because we want to ensure that all members will have a fair chance to purchase tickets in the premium seating areas. It is extremely important to us that we make sure these premium seating tickets be available to the real Celine fans (TeamCeline members), and that they do not go to ticket scalpers. Setting the 2 ticket per member limit is the only way to ensure that all TeamCeline members have a fair chance to purchase these tickets. As you know, we recently increased the TeamCeline membership fee to $40.00 per year. TeamCeline has always been one of the least expensive fan clubs in the world. When you look at the membership fees for fan clubs of comparable artists that offer similar services, you will find that even after the price increase, TeamCeline has one of the lowest annual membership fees. TeamCeline is also the only fan club in the world that currently offers a 10% discount on concert tickets in addition to ticket pre-sales and reserved premium seating areas. Additionally, to be as fair as possible, we have extended a limited time offer to renew for $30.00 to current TeamCeline members who are nearing the end of their membership term. There has been a lot of discussion about the change in format for our TeamCeline exclusive contests. Due to the fact that A New Day… will be ending next month, we are no longer able to offer monthly contests to win tickets to the show. Instead, what we are doing is starting to offer random draws and alternative contests to win amazing prizes including 2 tickets to the final show and 2 tickets to a show of the members choice during the World Tour. Just the other day we ran a contest to win 2 tickets to ‘Audience with Celine Dion’ in London, England and another one to win 2 tickets to see Celine perform on ‘Star Academy 7’ in Paris, France. We will be running several other contests to win tickets for Celine’s television appearances over the course of the next month! In this way, there will actually be many, many more contests running in one month alone!! We are very excited to be able to offer even more to our TeamCeline members over the coming months! We have an exciting year ahead of us and with the Taking Chances World Tour, there will be more opportunities than ever for Celine’s fans all over the world to benefit from being a member of TeamCeline. Exclusive contests, ticket discounts, opportunities to attend television appearances, and much more to be announced soon!! Please know that at TeamCeline we try to do everything possible to bring Celine's dedicated fans closer to her, through whatever means are available to us. As you know, Celine has an incredibly busy schedule, with so many demands on her time. Because of this, she's not very accessible for a lot of things. Even organizing the hundreds of TeamCeline meet and greets over the past 5 years in Las Vegas, is a delicate scheduling task, as she has so many obligations to fulfill. While we try to do our best to please as many people as possible, it is very, very difficult to do so. Inevitably, there are disappointments along the way. Rest assured that we will continue to do all that we can to provide the best service for TeamCeline members possible! Most Sincerely,TeamCeline Management Quote I'm a twin mommy just like Celine!Sophia and Anthony arrived on December 28, 2010 http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f380/SarahJB5/asblockssmaller.jpg

Bellamy Posted November 3, 2007 at 09:22 AM Posted November 3, 2007 at 09:22 AM I still don't buy the reason of 2 tickets only. They could have better way to find scalpers. As if the ticket limit of A New Day worked to stop scalpers. It only causes more trouble to fans, instead of scalpers. Salla Posted November 3, 2007 at 09:55 AM Posted November 3, 2007 at 09:55 AM Well, I guess it's nice that they're actually trying to do their job. But how about solving the problem that some of us were only able to buy ONE ticket through them. And NO, I'm not gonna spend half an hour on the phone to the States or give you my credit card number, so YOU can do the order for me. And how can the scalpers sell the tickets if they all are Will Call tickets? You need the credit card, ID, the email you received to even get the damn tickets... or maybe they can get around it. But whatever, the 2 tickets/tour rule is still crap! Quote

dj4celine Posted November 3, 2007 at 10:09 AM Posted November 3, 2007 at 10:09 AM (edited) Gosh!! For the price that we pay, we get kicked in, then get kicked out just to listen to the album I wasted my entire friday honking up TC so that I could listen to the album But then, when I am in the middle of a song, the page refreshes and I have to start all over again This drove me to the brink of going over there and killing all the staff of TC I am so not going to renew my membership after it expires next year (Thank heavens I became a member recently only ) But after reading all the comments, I think I joined TC at the right time as well as the wonrg time - Right...just before the hike ; Wrong.... for becoming a member after so many years Edited November 3, 2007 at 10:09 AM by dj4celine Quote

Thomas Posted November 3, 2007 at 12:50 PM Posted November 3, 2007 at 12:50 PM Wait, they actually charged you a fee to phone them and have them book it when it's their system that is at fault? Are you actually kidding me with this? I know I shouldn't be shocked since we're used to them being as much use as a chocolate teapot but this is just sickening. They do not deserve our money. I seriously hope the fans here take notice of all the complains and think carefully before they spend their hard earned cash on this rip-off service. Quote
maykonprincess Posted November 3, 2007 at 01:15 PM Posted November 3, 2007 at 01:15 PM I miss the way the fan club used to be. We would get random gifts through the year. There was one year (When These Are Special Times) came out... they sent us the album! We would get cards on our birthdays, cards for christmas! Every christmas we would get something; it was great! The welcome package was huge (not just a cheap CD holder or a postcard). I think when I signed up I got a bunch of postcards, a CD wallet, signed autograph, and a couple of other things. There was a phone number we could call (in Canada though) to hear updates on Celine. Members from the fan club also used to get a meet and greet with Celine (FYI Era). That would be nice if they did that during her World Tour. I know Celine's busy, but maybe at random in different cities? Quote

Yup, that's right!A 20 minute telephone call to the USA and when the confirmation email came through it included a phone charge of 75p. Not a lot I know but it's the principle of the matter really. No doubt some IT consultants have made a fortune updating TC website and it's totally crap now. Either cannot log in or keeps wanting you to log in.At the end of the day it's all about money for them not the fans. They put the price up so we can have a discount on tickets but the amount of the service fee negates that. I would have preferred they didn't offer a discount and allowed TC members to purchase 2 tickets per show, wherever they are. Now real fans who want to go to both MEN and O2 have to wait for Livenation's presale where no doubt all and sundry will register and get the tickets.I've sent them a long letter of complaint but no reply to date. ZoraSourit Posted November 3, 2007 at 02:07 PM Posted November 3, 2007 at 02:07 PM Their justification for the 2 ticket per tour policy is ridiculous. You don't need to be a genius in Math to see that bullsh*t. Anyway... I won't waste more of my time with this. Their problem. When my membership expires, I'm out. I hope they'll have a great fan club without fans. I believe there will be a lot of sadness concerning this tour when all the dates are announced... but let's wait and see. Salla Posted November 3, 2007 at 02:25 PM Posted November 3, 2007 at 02:25 PM Yeah, not planning on renewing the membership when it expires. I don't have the money and I don't really see the point anymore. I've been a member for years and I wasn't too unhappy with them before, after all I've gotten some pretty damn good tickets for A New Day... through them. But after the tour ticket crap and whatever happened last night with the Listening party, really pissed me off and if they don't miraculously get awesome, then it's byebye TeamCeline! Quote
