For the first time since TeamCeline first began in 2001, the annual membership fee will increase to $40.00. This fee change will take effect on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. (ET).

What a disgrace that the price has increased. They have absolutely no respect for the fans and all they care about is money. Perhaps they say that they have improved but I have yet to see any great exclusives from theis album except perhaps the music video that we got a day early. Everything else was leaked onto other websites. If they plan to raise the price then they should think what are we giving fan to justify this increase. We have to give them something where they feel that they are getting their money's worth. Right now they are certianly NOT doing that. I just hope that the tickets for the world tour (which we;re still waiting confirmation on the dates) go on sale before my membership runs out. I will say one thing....$25 is very cheap for a fanclub membership. Celine is a huge artist and I don't think anyone on her level has a membership fee that low. Even Josh Groban's is $40/year.

 

HOWEVER, the price of membership should directly reflect the type of service recieved and for that reason alone, $40 is a rip-off and a half! I don't see how anything has really changed since Music Today took over. I would glady fork over the $40, but we aren't getting different or better exclusives then we were before. I could get into the myriad of things they could do to improve the club but its like beating a dead horse at this point.

 

Luckily I recently renewed so I think I'll be covered for the time she'll be touring, when I need the membership to get good seats. Once thats over, TC wont be seeing my money any time soon.

I think everyone else has said it. No rewards, no exclusive service, photos or videos. Seriously all we've gotten so far from them for Taking Chances are the 55 second HQ clips. I mean we already had the clips, but they weren't in HQ. And don't most singers have access to this kind of stuff FOR FREE on their sites? In fact I havn't ever heard of another singer's site where you have to pay for access.

Ok, I also picked a cheap free renew gift. Wish I renewed when there's still 3 years discount option.

Wow this is terrible!!! I'm a member untill 2008 so it does'nt affect me straight away. I'm thinking about renewing now before the increase. The FC 'aint brilliant, but $25 is not that bad. $40 on the other hand is robbery considering all the "exclusives" we are having!

This is rediculous... $40 annual fee is not worth it. I'm thankful I renewed mine a week ago and I only paid the $25. But God, knock some sense into their heads that we need more for what we're paying for! They should keep thier heads up and give us more exclusives! If they start giving more exclusives, then I'll consider renewing it again next year.

Not to mention they require you to input the promo code during checkout instead of using a friendly clickable referrer link. I doubt many would buy from them anyway.
