I wish she had done LCMM, chances are it would have been live. You can tell by the way she's flailing her arms around like an octopus that she's singing Taking Chances and she's not singing it live. I'll always love her but if I'm honest I have to say I've been totally diappointed with her appearances on the promo tour and especially now during this awards show.

Celine Dion is known worldwide for her crystal clear voice and enthusiasm for music and performing. Throughout this tour it's all seemed a bit forced. Now, nobody is arguing her priorities haven't changed, they clearly have, but if she still chooses to perform she needs to be putting her all into it, and she just isn't at the moment.

 

Maybe Vegas has taken it out of her, maybe she is tired, maybe she is isn't used to the intensity of the promotional tours but she's a professional singer and she choose to do this. None of this should come as a surprise to her.

She sung it live on The X Factor and did not move once. She lipped it everywhere else and was moving her arms all over the place, just like the pics above.

I'd put money on the fact it wasn't live. But even if it was live, the fact she's pretended to sing so many times this past couple of weeks just shows how we're now expecting it. And that is a worrying thing as far as I'm concerned.

I completely agree with you. Singing was her dream, it came true, she can't just give up cause she made enough money. A real passion never dies. I understand that she's tired and it's normal with all the things she does,but she has to give her best like she always did, she is CELINE DION, the best singer of the world, the greatest voice...she choose to to do this and she was right so there's no reason to change now.

I hope in her world tour she'll put the same "old" real passion!!!

It's like her team aren't even concerned. Later this week we've got MHWGO lipped on the BAFTA show, we'll have the Audience With special a bit later with 95% of it lipped, her new French special with 100% of it lipped and now this World Music Award show which is more than likely lipped too. They even announced she would be recording Simply The Best in advance, just to make it clear it wasn't live. And that's on top of the lipped performance at Star Academy and two lipped performances at Saturday Night Divas. I mean where do you draw the line, Celine? Ok Wow. This Woman is seriously doing good things with her image. She has looked nothing but very, very hot since starting this promotion thing and her coy.. weird cross over of I'm jet lagged and I'm not going to smile and very cool attitude when she's been performing and general aloofness... i think is making her very attractive at this point. Like I've not gotten messages from random friends before to tell me that they saw her on telly and she looked hot but i suddenly am. I don't know what she's doing, but she's definitely actively shedding any past un-cool stereotypes she might've had to go along with her album. I think her promotion tactics also include Big Hair, and Showing Leg.

 

oh. and as far as the liPping thing goes though, maybe she just really didn't like the way X Factor went and has decided to play it safe.

Add to that Thomas that Celine has always strongly denied that she lips her songs. Remember when her ex drummer made claims about her lipping and all the stories that surrounded that? Celine went on the record back then to say she just does not do it. None of us want to see stories like this again but as Thomas has mentioned they are slowly, but surely, beginning to surface.

 

Where is the line? Loads of songs in A New Day... are lipped. We've seen so much evidence on this promotional tour and the TV specials. Will the World Tour be lipped too? When will it stop?

Everyone. Don't be freaking out that she's lipping a bit more during this time. How in the world could she sing live for ALL of these events. It's not humanly possible. AND she's about to have to go back to Vegas and finish a show through December!

 

So don't think that she has it in her mind that she will just stop singing live....she needs to preserve her voice as best she can. So, of course, we all want her to sing live ALL THE TIME. But it just isn't a possibility.

Her voice is in good shape, she was singing wonderfully on Star Academy. Whatever happened at The X Factor is in the past, she got over it. Whether it was a one off technical thing or if her voice was strained, she showed when she sang J'irai Ou Tu Iras and Immensite just this weekend that she was back on form.

 

Rene should have arranged time for her to go to Monaco and rehearse for this show so that she could sing live. Not a million magazine interviews and television performances each day so that she doesn't have time to arrange anything or she's too tired. Her stupid schedule is having an impact on the quality of the performances she gives, is no one else concerned about this?

Well if its playback again its really not a good move from her team because she got bad press yesterday in the UK and René surely read it as he reads everything about Céline so to shut their mouth up was it very hard for them to pull up a good and strong live performance?

 

Its as if every live performance she gives becomes a unique and rare event and they give this chance once in a while. When she says that she doesnt have anything to prove well i think shes got everything to prove right now. Shes been in her humidity bubble for 5 years she has to prove that she still got it. They should really get that...
