i know... all they care about these days is the new hip and trendy artists who last 1 yr in the industry. maybe if they helped promote it better then they would be able to have more confidence in the single so it all down to them... cant beleive they cancel it at such last minute over here in the uk we have been waiting yrs for a new celine single to come out and when it does it gets cancelled the day of release... sony bmg really need to have more respect for her true fans... who will no matter what stick by her and buy her new stuff.

i never understood about the fascination on this board about getting Celine to move to a new record label but now i can completely see why!

 

Absolutley disgraceful, what was the point in Celine being on the X Factor last week? She was clearly jet lagged, her voice wasn't up to it tbh and here we are finding out the single was cancelled/deleted!

when i was in london on monday i searched high and low for the single!! virgin records told me it was out on nov 5th!!! dont know how true that is??

The physical Taking Chances single is cancelled/postponed by SonyBMG itself :angry2: :angry2: :nono: :nono: :sick: :sick: :cry: :crybaby: :msn-cry: :ranting: :cry1: !

On a German Céline forum there is a rumour that something went wrong with the production (a video supposed to be on the single didn't reach NY, is it possible that the single's mastertape was stolen?), first they changed the Maxi single into a common single (and they postponed it a week), and now they cancel the whole thing!

 

I think they will release Alone as the first single instead of Taking Chances, there is another topic on this forum about they already have shot a videoclip for it!

 

And the only reason for shooting this Alone-videoclip is that Alone will be released soon and Taking Chances will be the 2nd single when all the production troubles are over, maybe they will release it at the end of November or the beginning of december....

 

Keep on checking the sites of your local music stores!

Nobody said Alone would be the next single. They shooted a new videoclip but we don't know of which song. Hopefully it won't be Alone, it would mean the failure of Taking Chances! :confused:

i went into hmv in dublin i asked the gril behind the counter. she said theirs no date for celine new single. she didn't even no the name of the song. i said it's on your website it says releasd date the 29th. she said o yeah your right. but theirs noting i can do she said... :confused: :confused:

I just got an email from www.amazon.de telling me that the 2 German editions had been released and shipped today! (What sucks it I won't get it till the day after the US album. Argh!)

 

I still need to get my hands on the French edition! Are we sure that exists anymore?

On Itunes UK the Single moves up from 70 to 56.

 

I dont understand either the song was release to Itunes this week and normally that happens the week before the single is released, heres hoping

I ordered the 2 (CDs + CDm) German versions of the Taking Chances single via the Bol.de-website, you can pay there via your bank account ("internet banking") or credit card!

I hope I will receive them soon into my letter-box!

I don't understand the cancellation either, surely the single must've already been pressed and ready to ship to retailers?

YAY! I just got my Japanese single in the mail today! It comes in a slimline jewel case complete with an OBI, and the cover that's already been shown before on the other singles. It includes the album version to "Taking Chances" and the radio edit to "To Love You More." It also includes, as with 99% of Japanese releases, the lyrics to both songs in English and Japanese characters. It also includes a sticker on the front that has the company name, Panasonic, on it and "TO LOVE YOU MORE" in bold, capital letters.

 

My scanner is busted right now, but if anybody wants some "decent" shots I can take some pictures with my webcam.

update for those who dont already know...

 

i have spoked to sony bmg rep who has confirmed the reason why taking chances wasnt relesed as in a jewel case format is because a desission was taken to relese it as a digital only relese

 

the single can be purchesed via i-tunes.com and contains a remix

 

however i have the song also map to my heart and 2 remixes and would advise for those who want the jewel case format there are a few on ebay .

Me and Ronny are in Germany, we are visiting our Seb, and today we went to MediaMarkt to buy Taking Chances 2-Track CD single.

 

Then I got the Japanese single from Seb.

I just got both the Basic and the Premium editions. I wanted to get only the premium one, but then I just couldn't resist buying both. My boyfriend said it was a waste of money, but I don't give a damn, I love them :) I even started liking the I-soul remix :) Edited by Der_Griffon
