Just got a text saying they're about to play it again. The last time they played it was 3:22am when everyone is sleeping.

So I was in the chat while they were playing it and commented on how much I love this song and what does a Z100 intern say? "Everyone likes this song until they know it's Celine Dion." If I didn't know better, people who work for any radio station aren't supposed to be impartial or state critical comments about any artist. I'm emailing her boss right now.

I don't know what her tone was when she said that, but maybe she was just being honest and stating the fact base on what she saw in the past few days. If you are emailing her boss because of that, I don't think it will do any good to Celine anyway. Cuz if I am her, not only I would have hatred toward Celine fans, it will be even less likely for me to play her songs from now on (unless that intern is a fan of Celine in the first place.)

OMG here in the US it happens at radio all the time. Certain artists are percieved to be "cool" or "uncool" and if

they are "uncool" then you are NOT to listen to them no matter how good the song is. It's so ridiculous at US radio,

they need to get a clue as to what GOOD music is and not just play stuff cause Justin, Timberland or Rhianna is

hot at this particular moment. There is so much good music that gets passed by. I know so many people that don't

even listen to US radio anymore because of this.

Righto Stevo, she sure was. It was great hearing her on the radio often and hearing good comments

from the djs. I don't think The Spice Girls, Aqua, Take That will get much airplay on stations like Z100.

Leann Rimes is continuing to get good airplay at Country radio here in the US and I know Garth will as well.

Not so sure what will happen with Backstreet Boys, Whitney, & Mariah. I would think the 1st singles from Whit &

Mariah will get decent play here. Mariah just launched her perfume line, she looks slutty in the ads.

I emailed her directly and told her that it was very socially irresponsible of her to say that in a public chat room when her album is due to come out in less than a month. She said specifically that whenever they play the song they get dozens of calls coming in asking who sings it and as soon as she tells them it is Celine Dion apparently they're not interested anymore. Whether or not that is the case, they way she stated it was very brusque and flat-out rude. When I'm at work, I can't tell people to buy the Sony LCD because the Pioneer Elite Plasma sucks...I'm not supposed to even say more people prefer the Sony over the Pioneer because the latter brand is not as popular as the Sony line. And don't say it will minimize Celine's chances of getting played on that station...this girl is just a ditsy intern who knows nothing about the guidelines of her job. When you represent a company there are certain standards you must adhere to.

Now how does that work exactly. They receive the calls and the people ask who was singing that song. They answer Celine Dion. The people answer "Oh, we're no longer interested in the song." ???? Wouldn't it normally go: "Hi, can you tell me who was just singing that song?" "Celine Dion." "Okay, thank you." Phone hangs up.

That's true but a lot of people don't like Britney's song because it's a Britney song. Though it seems to be doing pretty well.
