I posted those instructions in two other threads earlier today but I think z100 is important enough to get its own thread, lol.

 

Plus if we focus on one or two HUGE stations (like this and maybe BBC1 or 2) we'll be alot more successful then trying to request her on 25 different stations.

 

I already texted them a few times today. I was able to CC the number 9 times in one message so with one message, I actually sent out 10 requests. Its just very important that you text exactly as instructed above.

I posted this in another thread but I don't think many people got to see it.

 

So I got a follow-up response today from z100 after asking them if they had anymore info about the release of "Taking Chances."

 

Here's what they said:

 

I really don't have any other info and I am not sure if the new Celine

will end up on Z100...but keep listening..you never know!

I guess they have no plans on playing her as of yet. It seems like the first time they played her was by accident.

Psshhh...this totally rots.

 

I don't think they will ever have an interest in her again. The only time you hear her on z100 is when they play snippets of her songs and then start mocking her. The good thing about them though is that when they add a song to their play list, it is played dozens of times during the day giving it an ample chance to go #1. I just spoke to Shelley Wade during a live chat on the z-zone. She's the personality on air between 10-2 and I asked her if they will play Celine and she said the chance is very nominal because Mariah and Mary J are debuting their albums during the same week. If every person from the forum would send them one email per day, we can give this album the fighting chance it deserves. I heard this morning the #1 requested song yesterday had 44,900 requests!! This is going to take a lot of hard work, especially since it's clear Sony isn't behind us.

Didn't Z100 invited Celine to the Z100 concert in 2002. I think if they can get a chance to interview Celine or to their concert, they would kiss her toes to get it.

ooh, yeah, zootopia! that's right.. i forgot about that! I almost went, but i was going to the boston concert the night before or something.

 

so it hasn't been THAT long since they pretended to care about Celine!

 

i love z100. and seriously... unless things have changed... they have time to play all their little songs hating on the Red Sox (i love them and know all the words even though i'm a sox fan. shhhh) - they can play Celine Dion! this isn't the miracle album - give her a chance!!

So I emailed Tom Poleman, who is SVP of Programming for Z100 (and Clear Channel Communications for all of New York). I emailed him a few days ago inquiring once again about "Taking Chances" and he finally responded:

I love the new Celine. I agree that it's a great direction for her. We have a lot of great music to choose from lately, but I can definitely see playing it more.

I faxed a request in. Figured it couldn't help for requests to come in from all places. No one would answer the request line. I also e-mailed a request in. I don't understand how to text it.
