Are we sure that they are using Celine's version of "Taking Chances" and not the PW version? It would be really bad if they used the PW version instead of Celine's since people are hopefully going to know this as her song soon.

Me neither. Rene's looking for a cheap way to promote the song beyond radio stations like he did in the past with the gazillion movie themes Celine sang

 

He did it with "I'm Alive" and the Stuart Little 2 movie. It was as contrived as can be and didn't work one bit. And now it seems that Rene is looking for another media other than film to promote Celine. Weird!

I don't think it's strange. ABC did the same for its TV Series promo. And TVA did the same with "On S'est Aimé A Cause" in Quebec.

ABC Music Videos

 

ABC will premiere a re-recorded music video "Big Girl" by Mika touting the upcoming season of its Thursday night smash comedy "Ugly Betty." According to Hollywood Reporter, the Alphabet network is the only broadcast net in the US using music videos to promote its shows. ABC is expected to premiere a total of 11 music videos this season. Take a look at last season's entries after the jump.

 

Last season, ABC produced as many as 3 videos for "Grey's Anatomy" -- for Brandi Carlile's "The Story," the Fray's "How to Save a Life" and Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars."

Celine's song in a horror series!!! I just think it's hilarious Hope the series is very successful and lots of people hear her song and then go out and buy it.
