Well, I will probably never get married... But if I had a wedding, I don't know which song I would choose! There are many good choices such as To Love You More, The Reason, The Colour of My Love, Where Does My Heart Beat Now, L'Amour Existe Encore, Aun Existe Amor, Have You Ever Been in Love...

 

But I would probably choose The Power of Love.

For my wedding, I want to use A New Day Has Come ( the slow version in the church) and then i want to use for my first dance " To love you more" - i just love the violins and everything, its so beautiful. Yet i also want The Power Of Love ....its such a hard choice because she has so many songs that would be perfect o well, then i just every song during the dances lol make a mix of all of them and combine it into one long first dance

I was married back in 2001 and I walked down the very LONG isle of my church to the instrumental version of To Love You More. Then two of our friends who are accomplished Christian recording artists sang The Prayer during the ceremony...yes...the Italian-English version. It was AMAZING! Next best thing to actually having Celine there.

There are many songs of Celine that I would want to play at my wedding. "That's The Way It Is" would be one of them. I guess I would pick that one because if I was FINALLY getting married I would remember how encouraging that song has been while waiting for that day for so long. Well, Im a bit too young to get married haha. But if I do get married when Im older, Its gonna be so hard to choose! Theres so many good songs of hers that you could have at a wedding! A friend of mine wants to have "The first time ever I saw your face" to be played, when she comes walking in at the ceremony, 'cause that will be the first time he'll see her in her weddingdress. Another song she wants to have played at the ceremony is "Tell him" (a song not mentioned by anyone here).

 

Another friend of mine sang "The power of love" herself. Her husband had tears in his eyes!

 

When my husband and I got married ten years ago, we didn't choose a Céline song (although we both love her music dearly). My choice was Mariah Carey's "Vision of love" at the beginning of the ceremony. And his choice was "Whenever there is love" by Donna Summer at the end of the ceremony.

we also translated the lyrics, and printed it on special paper. We gave them as "souvenirs".

I've always said I'd like The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face to be played, however I'm afraid it would have to be Roberta Flack's version. This song is not appropriate for a first dance as it is much too slow, so I would have it played just before the service begins.

 

Celine's version could then be used as the first dance but, if not, then it would have to be The Power Of Love.

In fact, there are far too many songs to choose from so the recpetion would probably consist of a Celine setlist interspersed with other songs just for the sake of variety...
