Guys we really can make the difference, its only 79p to download i have downloaded it 8 times so far and forwarded the link on my last post to collegues, family and friends, and some have done the same after visiting the site!!

So lets get celine to no.1, we really can help get her back to the top were she belongs, as corny as it sounds, but every download really does help.

 

If you are going out for dinner or drinks over the next few days, have two less drinks/pints, and put it towards downloading this single, and email it onto friends and family....

Just think, it'll help look after you're health and help Celines comeback single go to the top!! lol

"Gimme More" has been receiving raving reviews left right and center. "Blackout" as well. So "objectively", it's been received as an excellent song.

 

You can mention Britney whenever you want, but if it's to just be an immature ***t, then you're breaking a rule of this very forum. Maybe try and concentrate harder when you read?

And more importantly Kylie is sitting at number 64 and The Spice Girls at number 124. To think last week we were all disappointed at number 58. A stunning achievement by Celine and i'm hoping beyond all hope Sony now have a rethink and release the single.

Apart from Leona, who is miles ahead in terms of sales, the rest of the chart is wide open. Celine really could have a hit here if we keep on supporting it. It's quite interesting because despite the playback problem, alot of people really enjoyed the Divas show (I thought the show was crap). Mum and Dad thought Celine was great- I hadn't the heart to tell them she mimed- Dad thinks she's got great legs and was surprised at how good she looked...as were alot of people. As I said before, the DJ I texted to request TC from at CoolFM said hello to me on air and said he had just been talking about how good she looked and that he was going home to watch her again- other people must have been texting in. I didn't admit to being a SCF but said "did you see celine Dion's legs on SNDivas? Who'd a thought it!" hehe

 

Celine's appearances have really helped promote this song and she has had an absolutely flawless wardrobe. This makes the difference in our shallow culture these days.

 

Her legs have promoted her song and album more than her voice so far...

It will be hard for her to break the image she's had for years in her english markets. But even if she does want to reach a new audience, ignoring her core fanbase/public won't do her any good. She needs to let those who usually buy her albums that she still is doing some power slow songs and still want to hit those high and long notes. The main reason for that is if ever the 'new' target audience doesn't buy the new Celine, the old target audience still will buy the album and/or the singles.

 

What I find is disserving her in her performances lately is the lack of energy she has. I mean, it's almost like she's forcing herself to perform. For example, at her recent appearance at Star Academy, we could see a glimpse of that great stage performer inside of her when she sang "J'irai Ou Tu Iras" with a student, but on "Immensite", she seemed robotic. And usually for her slow songs she still can have stage presence but this time, there wasn't any.

 

I think what would really help "sell" the song is to see Celine performing it like she is really having a kick out of it. From the performances I've seen of that song so far, she just seems like 'meh, whatever'.

 

Personally, sometimes I hear a song and I'm not really that into it even if I do like it a bit, but then when I see the artist perform it, whether it's a dance track or ballad, if the artist has that sparkle when he/she does the performance, I'll end up loving the song.

 

The album has some pretty good songs, and I hope that "Eyes On Me" will be released at least in Europe because that has 'HIT' written all over it. This song actually shows to the audience who isn't familiar with her French work, that she can sing different sort of songs and still be at ease.
