I emailed them twice today from 2 different addresses, and texted them a few times as well. But we're going to need requests in the thousands to get her played. They only played her once, right?

I wish I could get the Grobanites to pull together and vote for her. They're killer at doing stuff like that!

JESUS!! The song was sent TWO FRIGGIN' DAYS AGO to radios. Yes it was available to a very few select radio stations last week but those were primarily for testing reasons. Next week wll be the impacting chart for he song, which means that we'll see how it's doing after one full week. And I'd say it's doing fabulous to enter the AC chart with only a handful of stations playing the song. Rome wasn't built in one day. :glare:

Give it a rest guys. As if Celine should be at #1 the day the song is sent to radio. Wake up!!

I have a friend that is a DJ for a radio station here in North Carolina. The station covers a large metro area and its top 40, not AC. I asked him about the song and he said they would be playing it starting Monday. He has heard the song and though he doesn't care for Celine, he likes the song.

In Germany the song was VERY well received. It started on Firday 14th September and Sony confirmed that it had a massive breakthrough at the German airplay charts. She entered the Top 100 around the Top 30 and they expect the song to be in the Top 20 at the end of this week. This is very unsusual for a song since it takes a song 3-4 weeks to enter the top 100 airplay charts.

This is VERY good for her, especially since she'll be singing 100 shows in Germany next year... :laugh: :laugh:

Confirmaton that "Taking Chances" was played on BBC Radio 2 in the UK On Monday but sadly it doesn't appear to have made the stations playlist for week commencing 22nd September. Although i'm glad Sony have sent the song to Radio 2 I hope they have a strategy to get the song to local and commercial radio as well. There are millions of listeners of those stations and the last song they sent to those was "I'm Alive."

Yesterday I was in Salonica, the second bigger city of Greece and Star Fm played the song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! youpee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :kicking:

Oh great ! Maybe the strategy is to play the song only on time on all the big stations like for Z100. It's a great improvement. Maybe tomorrow taking chances will be aired one time on NRJ France. Finger crossed. :in_love: :giggle:

Ok, its a small step, but I got her some airplay!

This morning, they were talking about the elvis special on the morning show for a large metro area top40 station here in NC. They played a clip of Celine's performance and were talking about how Celine was the only humble singer they could think of with a range like hers. I was a bit surprised because these guys normally rip people apart. They went on to talk about how they hated listening to mariah carey cause she sounded like a screeching monkey.

So, I called in and they put me on the air and was asking me questions about her show. One of the guys had wanted to take his wife to see it in January and I informed him it ended in December. Anyways, I asked them if they were going to play her new song. They told me they HADN'T RECEIVED her new single and didn't even know she had one out. :blink:

I told them I could email it to them...so after the phone call, I did that. About 20 minutes later, they played the song and everyone loved it...not one negative thing was said. I think it'll be on regular rotation there now.

They do a thing on the air called make it or break it...they get 5 people to call in to either make the song or break it. Out of 5 calls, there was 1 person who said break it and the other 4 were make it :clap:

So there must be a lot of radio stations that don't even know about the single and that haven't got it yet.

Maybe it's not that much of a boycott like some people think it is.

Last week I e-mailed the radio station (B101FM) in my area and never received a response :glare:

Céline's music is play quite often so I write again and call the station. It feels like pulling teeth to promote this song :blink:

That's fantastic! I'm going to try to get my local radio station to play the song tomorrow. But if they don't have it, the version I have isn't complete. I downloaded it from here, but it's missing the end of the first chorus, the intro to a second verse, and the first part of the second chorus. So I really need a complete one.

If I get a complete version, I'll start calling all the radio stations around. It won't take to long, and it's for a good cause.

This is the station that CD.com had listed for us to go and vote, this must be a big station if they had
