yeah, that's the big irony of it. probably because she already has a big fan base here so they (Sony Phils.) are confident that even without them lifting a finger for promoting an album it will still sell. But i hope it will be different with this album...

Z100 is playing TCH, it's getting probably 2 spins a day. Every moomin gets out and send them an email how you LOVED the "Taking Chances song" - you don't even have to mention Céline's name cuzz they sure as hell know what song you mean!

I emailed and called into z100 as well as 106.7. I have Z100 streaming as well

I don't think radio station can play a song until they get green light from Sony. Especially if it's the single.

 

The fact that Z100 started to play it before all the others in the states, is amazing indeed and gogo, if they play it, it means they're testing the ground for the song and see what feedback it receives. And here is where WE come it. We are their testing ground and we loved the song.

 

I think the best strategy with Z100 specifically is to send them emails with praising the "Taking Chances song". NO CELINE NAME. They will see ppl love it.

 

About other stations - yes, I'm preparing a list of US radio stations and request links to at least let them know new Céline is coming.

I will, I will, wait. I have to comply some Hot AC and AC stations plus some POP stations that has to be notified by fans. In my opinion there's still time for our request campaign BUT one little email telling hoe great the new Celine dion single is and how rocky it is, won't do any bad.

Keep in mind that it's the best way to mail the DJs themselves so that they can forward your wishes personally to the music manager or whomever responsible for the music at a given radio station. This is my way of requesting, some may have other way but I will still give you the email of the MORNING SHOW DJ in case no general mail address is given. It is also wise to start off your request by greeting the show host personally: Hi Brian, Hi Sandy etc. Morning shows are the best time for Céline as "Taking Chances" is a great song to start the day off with! Tell them that you love waking up to it, her new sound is great, fresh, you have been waiting for a new great song like that for long etc.

I`m not sure who the DJ was...I think it was Elvis Duran, and he was asking someone (a female singer) how they felt being compared to Celine Dion...and she said it was an honor blah blah...I think it might have been Jordin Sparks. Maybe we`re close!
