The "Miracle" project - Official Topic

I like Miracle,

We have to remember this is side project, as I remember back in the day,

This was only supposed to be a Book CD and at last minute they decided to sell it separately like a regular record

 

There are great songs, beautiful lyrics, production, vocals

 

But is a concept album, for babies and mothers.

 

I remember I was so excited with this release, cause was the first time I was following a Celine’s release through the internet, it was a mesmerising experience

 

Exactly! That is what this project is meant to be is a side project. It was originally supposed to be a Book CD of only the photo shoot with Celine & the babies, with Celine singing some background music to go with the booklet of pictures (so probably would have been about maybe 2-3 songs at the most, but no more than that.)

 

I remember reading online about the original concept back in the day, but they decided to change it to a WHOLE ALBUM along with the booklet of pictures of Celine & babies. & the ending result is the album "Miracle", which is now 20 years old! Whew that makes me FEEL OLD LOL! I was only 22 years old back then, now I am 42 years old & a mother of 2 girls!

 

Funny thing is, when "Miracle" first came out in 2004, I remember I was thinking "yuuuuuck"! & "really Celine, an album full of BABY LULLABIES? Really what are you thinking?" lol haha! & honestly, it was the ONLY Celine Dion English album that I did not purchase for the longest time really, it was MANY YEARS LATER when I finally purchased that album lol.

 

But after becoming a mother myself in 2012 (when my first child was born,) I had finally bought "Miracle" & put it on when my daughter was napping, & I was listening to the album as well while my child was sleeping. I thought it was a beautiful album! & I listened to that album again after my second daughter was born in 2014, & again I enjoyed listening to it while my child was sleeping, still a beautiful album! & even though now my girls are older & do not take naps, I still have the album lol. It is digitalized along with all of my other Celine albums & other artists albums in my Itunes collection & Amazon Music collection, & although I do not listen to the "Miracle" album as much as the other albums in my collection, I might listen to it once in a while while relaxing or before I go to bed at night to relax lol.

Yeah also always saw it as a kind of side project, something unique in her discography, what it really is. And I didn't knew before that it actually was meant as a side project at the first place. I find that album quite beautiful and very relaxing to listen to. I usually don't listen to it as often as her other albums, but every once in a while I'm streaming it and it's always nice. My precious one, In some small way, one chanson douce, if I could, and come to me, beautiful boy and miracle are really enjoyable for me. Don't care about the recycled songs, Brahms lullaby and TFTIESYF and a mother's prayer, I always skip them

"In Some Small Way," "Sleep Tight," and "Come To Me" are my favorites from the album. ("Je lui dirai," too, if we're talking about the French edition of the album.) We already have a few live performances of "In Some Small Way." I'd love for her to perform "Sleep Tight" and "Come To Me" live someday. Especially "Come To Me." It seems to be an underground fan favorite.
