I guess this album divides the fans the most. Either you love it, or you hate it! I can't believe it turned 20 years!! And I can't believe the babies Céline was holding are the same age now as I was when this album came out!!

 

I'm glad to see it had some love on the socials. But it would have been cool if they had released a hot pink vinyl to celebrate and commemorate the 20 years anniversary!

The album has some amazing and some OK vocals overall. Wasn't she sick during some of the recordings? My Precious One and In Some Small Way are the Real gems of this album

I don’t have this album, the only album I did not buy. I love In Some Small Way, amazing song and amazing live performances!

Not only that, but Celine was somewhere our age now at that time.

Crazy to think she was in that stage of her career to make an album like this haha

Crazy to think she was younger than I am now when she did this, I remember it like it was yesterday, the calendar hanging on my grandmothers refrigerator, ISSW on the radio “and me wondering why the hell they chose that as the single”, and being obsessed with her live versions of beautiful boy and miracle on the Oprah special (and loving the return of the long dark hair)

I totally agree with Davey on the vocals thing. It’s funny that, while the album features some of Celine’s worst studio vocals ever, it also showcases highlights like My Precious One.

 

Overall, I have to say I’m not really a fan of the album, but it’s still nice that they released so many editions of it back in the day.

AND…I like to think I was a BIG part of that since she was inspired to do this entire project along with the calendar, book, etc. when she heard the song I wrote with Steve Dorf called “MIRACLE“ “WHO COULD EVER LOVE YOU MORE?” I wrote those lyrics for my beloved sons Brandon and Brody and she adopted them for her son Rene’ Charles. This project meant way too much to me for my name to be left out of being credited.

yeah I do agree... I actually wanted to post that too. The songs they choose to highlight are always sooo random! If they had done If I Could or WAWW, backed up with AND footage, that would have made more sense.

Exactly, but why did they use the ATW version of TFTEISYF while promoting the miracle album.

 

Anyways wasn’t a fan of the album, other than a couple songs like “In some small way” and “Come To Me”.

Yeah! Actually the one she re-recorded for the album was “The Prayer”. For some reason that I’ll never understand, as her vocals are far from perfect and they already had a perfect solo version from 1998.

No but if you look at the actual track they are using on the post, it’s the ATW album art, meaning the streams are counted towards ATW instead of Miracle I Think.

I like the album and it’s certainly grown on me over time. I do remember thinking at the time though “Celine what are you doing.” We went from “One Heart” and the Vegas show to this LOL.

 

As I say it has grown on me more and more over time though.

This was such a strange filler album but I enjoyed in nonetheless. ISSW, CTM and MPO are the obvious standout tracks an d I remember picturing a reimagining of the Lion King with ISSW in the background

This was dear to Céline at the time and I'm glad they went through with the concept, though I think they could have replaced or just rearranged the repeat tracks for a new listening experience.

What a wild ride it’s been being a Celine fan for all these years. And I was already a seasoned fan by that point. 😂

And funny thing, that this same song have another completely different arrangement (but same vocals) in an charity album from 1996...

A Mother's Prayer is so ugly in the Miracle version... the instrumental is someway too loud, weird to me... The 1998 version I discover only years later, and that one is PERFECT

I just don’t get why they re-recorded the song… Talking about The Prayer, the 2019 solo version is WAY better than the 2004 one. Can you imagine if she had recorded those lyrics with that stunning arrangement in the studio?

I like Miracle,

We have to remember this is side project, as I remember back in the day,

This was only supposed to be a Book CD and at last minute they decided to sell it separately like a regular record

 

There are great songs, beautiful lyrics, production, vocals

 

But is a concept album, for babies and mothers.

 

I remember I was so excited with this release, cause was the first time I was following a Celine’s release through the internet, it was a mesmerising experience
