The "Miracle" project - Official Topic

Does anyone else love the Miracle concept album and book as much as me? I was over the moon when it came out and have collected almost everything there is to collect for it. I think it is such a beautiful and treasured album and the book is unbelievably well designed. Celine looks amazing in the photos. I adore babies and Anne Geddes so you can imagine my joy when the project was announced!

I would love to hear from anyone who has thoughts and comments on anything 'Miracle'

I only bought one track off the album for now. Brahms Lullaby, I think it's called. Might buy the rest of the album later. It's a sweet album concept indeed. Lovely mother la Celine.

A great concept album..my favourite song is "My Precious One".

It's definitely one of her most personal album in her english career. I don't give a freak about the pictures, but the songs are beautiful, and the music both delicate and soothing. Definitely one of my favorite.

 

Brahm's lullaby is definitely not the best song off the album though. It's a recycled tune from her christmas CD. I guess you should either buy "My precious one", or find Miracle at your local store or on Ebay. it shouldn't be really expensive, due to it's poor sales.

It`s an interesting idea but, honestly, 'Miracle' is not my favourite Celine album.

My Miracle is eaten by white ants last week.

I put it at my room cabinet.

When I fount it, the CD and booklet are broken.

Much white ants were on the album.

Now I don't want to buy it again,I just want the new album.

The whole concept was a lovely idea although I care more about the songs than the photo's too. My favourites on the album are My Precious One, Come To Me and In Some Small Way

It`s an interesting idea but, honestly, 'Miracle' is not my favourite Celine album.

but my very very very favourite from that album is If I Could!! It always moves me to tears!

The concept is wonderful! Amazing and pictures as well..... but, I don't know...!

Yes, it was a wonderful idea! I loved the concept. The pictures are really beautiful and the music is nice. I do not separate the two because the pictures combined with the music are perfect together.

I don't have a copy of that yet. Well, I saw the album before and I was planning to buy it. And when i had the money and went back to the store, it was already gone and they never gave me an assurance if they're still gonna have that album in the future. Right now, I'm already in another place but still in the Philippines and this time, the last album that i saw from Celine was "All The Way... A Decade of Song."

 

 

But I know every Celine album will be seen again once Celine's album becomes a smash hit. Like what happened before, even her french albums are available. (",) Hope it'll hapeen again and this time, cos i now have a work, I will buy so I can make my dream come true. Have all of Celine Dion albums.

I put off buying the album because i thought it was just for mothers or whatever but when i did get around to buying it i was glad i did... its not my favourite but it has some great songs. My favourite song is Come To Me but i also really like Some Small Way...

 

Can't wait until Taking Chances comes out... YAY!!

I bought the "Miracle" album a long while after it was released. And I bought it used. Quite honestly, I just wasn't into the concept of the album and I found the pictures to be strange. It's just not my taste. And I was heavily disappointed Celine released an English album with songs about motherhood and babies. Again, not my taste.

 

I ended up buying it, though, because I felt, as a true fan, I should have it. I love her rendition of "What A Wonderful World" and I like "In Some Small Way." I've heard other artists' recordings of "If I Could" and felt that Celine's was weak.

 

I'm not surprised at the "poor" sales of this album. It's what I consider a specialty album and I would imagine they don't often sell as big.

My fav song is Come To Me, but to be honest - it will never be on of my fav Céline albums... nice pictures though

This is probably the Celine album that I play the least (even less than "Chantes Noel".) The concept is gorgeous, the songs are well-done. I especially love "Miracle" and "In Some Small Way."

 

I can't relate to it the best, since I am not a father. But I do admire the beautiful work done by Celine and Anne. I do think Taking Chances is needed to get Celine out of this "mother image" and into a sex symbol! lol

It's a nice album, but I was really turned off by the Anne Geddes stuff. I find her photography to be really creepy.

This album is really underrated - musically. The songs are beautifully arranged. It always surprises me that those badly made flat pop sounds on her other recent albums get all the praise while this one gets so easily ignored.

I don't have the miracle album and I just don't know why.... I think it's just not meant to be Every time I try to buy it it's either too expensive or the store doesn't have it anymore! Last time, for instance, All the cds in the store were on sale - half of the price. I didn't have my bank card or money with me that day, so I decided to come back another time... When I did the cds were back in their regular price

But anyway, I like the songs on the album, though I don't know if I'd listen to it many times. My favorite is In some small way

I think Miracle is a very underrated album.. I care more for the songs then I do for the pictures... there are some great ones, but oh well... I hate it when even fans put it off as just a lullaby album! It has great songs that you don't nessarely have to link to childern/babies! Like Come to me, My precious one, ISMW, WAWW...

 

I looooove In Some Small Way !! IMO this song is highly underrated! I think it was a great addition to AND and I hope it will be on the DVD as a bonus! This song has a lot of power... kinda like LTAL.. it would be awesome to hear Céline singing it again! My other two favs of the album are My Precious One and Beautiful Boy

This is the only Celine album that I bought 13 copies I kept the 3 editions and the rest I gave as gifts to my family members and they loved it SOme went to even buy and give them as gifts to their friends

 

Fav. song definitely has to be In Some Small Way and My Precious One

I like it, but I play it very few times. I'm into more uptempo songs . My favourite one is In Some Small Way, that's a treasure of song

 

But I think I especially like this album because I got it the longbox version signed by her. Then I love it when I see it

Like any hardcore Celine fan, I am usually first in line to buy a Celine album of DVD on the day of its release.

For some reason, I was unable to do so when Miracle was first released. Then came all the negative reviews with people finding the whole lullaby/motherhood theme rather nauseating. I'm ashamed to say I let myself be swayed by the negative opinions of others and when I saw that a number of the tracks were already included on other albums, I decided I was in no rush to buy it.

I became very cynical and dismissive of the album and all this before I had even listened to it.

 

How foolish do I feel now?

 

The album is truly wonderful!!

 

I bought it from the Celine boutique in Vegas when I went to see the show in October 2007. Unforunatley. the show was cancelled (a very sore subject for me, as I had saved so long for the trip and even conquered my fear of flying especially- but never mind...!)

 

Anyway, unlike other albums which took a while to grow on me, I loved MIRACLE from the word go. I feel so bad for being so judgemental in the past. It is filled with great songs including In Some Small Way, Come To Me, Sleep Tight and If I Could. Celine's voice is amazing and I am all the more impressed having seen various live performances of In Some Small Way. The motherhood theme is not overstated and, at the moment, the album is one of the most played in my collection.

 

Well, I just wanted to share my thoughts with you all about the album. It is probably Celine's worst-received recording amongst fans and I am as guilty as everybody else for not giving it a chance in the beginning.

 

Now I can say I LOVE the album and it would be great to have your thoughts and opinions- especially from other MIRACLE fans!

I don't have the Miracle book yet but I did love the art in Celine Dion's album in cd. So I'm actually lookig for that book here in our place so i can have one for my collection.

As dhena said, I'm giving "Miracle" a non-stop run on my CD player, as I did back in 2004.

I bought it in October 2004, since it was impossible to get it earlier. I was almost devastated because it was so important for me to have this album. My intention was to play it everyday, at least twice a day, to my baby girl, by placin headphones on my wife's belly.

I did so for two months, and then played it everyday in her room, next to her craddle.

She's now the smartest, cutest and most lovely girl of the world (I'm her father, what can I say)

 

Now that my second child is born, I'm re-dicovering the album again.

For me, it's a masterpiece, and holds such a special place in my heart.
