celinefan1985 Posted August 9, 2007 at 09:07 PM Posted August 9, 2007 at 09:07 PM Celine's album won't flop but there's no denying she needs to get over this "record an album in a week" philosophy that she's been doing for a while. It's part of the creative process do spend time "working" on an album. I have tapes (yes, VCR tapes) of her working on Dion Chante Plamondon in Paris where you can see she is totally vested. Now it's like wham, bam thank you mam. So she decides that after 5 years of performing, she's going to hit the road for another whole year but recording the album will only be afforded 1 week of her time? Well D'eux was recorded in one week too! But that was the good ol' days! I suppose you can't transcode that footage! What songs do you see her working on?!! Child, I have so many old tapes just sitting in a box. Wouldn't even know how to do it. Don't quite remember the songs but I have a clear memory of her on some white stair case working with Michel Berger (before he died). Quote

Well D'eux was recorded in one week too! But that was the good ol' days! I suppose you can't transcode that footage! What songs do you see her working on?!! It's all a matter of perspective. You absolutely can't compare Dion Chante Plamondon to the Goldman era. DCP is an album full of musical tunes with one or two originals thrown in - amazing album with life of its own yet it flopped no matter how much she tried to revive it in 1993 despite Ziggy being a huge hit. Now SISDA she recorded in 6 days, 1F4T in 2 weeks and D'elles in about 2 days max speaking almost all the songs on the album are the actual first-time-recordings, no demos, no magic. And it worked pretty well! What joeym is doing is comparing her French recording time span with the English one. That one has never been comparable as there are far more ppl involved into her English music than her French work. But then again she's been thinking about coming back so long with a new English album and the best she could do is to hire Timbaland so that everyone can set one's own expectations so high it's not possible!? By this very choice she and Sony of course proved how disoriented they are and how they went the easy route. BUT BUT BUT I adore the light at the end of the tunnel. She showed them. She chose herself and she will promote something, a song that will probably be as popular as Falling Into You (mediocre popular so to speak) but she will promote it with head up high and with all her heart. That's what counts. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

RLAAMJR. Posted August 15, 2007 at 04:12 AM Posted August 15, 2007 at 04:12 AM Well, there's no working with Timberland for celine's upcoming english album. I don't think Celine's album would become a hit working with Timberland. So I still prefer this one than working with Timbaland. Quote
angel_christ Posted August 15, 2007 at 04:35 AM Posted August 15, 2007 at 04:35 AM Celine's co-ing with Timbaland? Hmmm......interesting. I find Nelly Furtado's song with Timbaland very cool. I'm gonna wait and see how it's gonna be. Wishing Celine all the luck that she wil succeeded!!! But they're still just our rumors coming back to us! I think this is slightly different take a look on the other topic, this was from a blog that was talking about a whole different artist...still a rumour...but as TC won't give us any official confirmation ... I was really surprised 'bout how LV nailed the song that "supposedly" has the Timbaland touch ... and a bit sorry for this newcomer that was thrilled with her Timbaland collaboration and even more amazed that it was changepas39 who suggested the Timbaland/Ryan Tedder(OneRepublic) collaboration .... I'm still wondering Where does Delta Goodrem fit in the picture????? If it's true of course... I'm still waiting for a response from the girl who blogged about it Edited August 25, 2007 at 05:24 AM by Loup_garou Quote
