"A New Day Has Come" indeed for Celine Dion. The singer plans to enlist Timbaland to produce her next album, which will also reportedly feature cuts from R. Kelly and Ne-Yo, RollingStone.com reports.

And some fans here complain Céline has been forgotten - FAR from it! they are all waiting for her next move. forget Madonna, if Céline were to include 10 songs from timba (fantasy world of course) she'd cause an earthquake in the music industry. A very positive one for her for sure.

If you look at the other thread, the one to vote for Celine for your favorite new release from a diva, in the article that goes along with it, it mentioned Timberland, as well as R. Kelly and Ne-Yo, etc. so it can't be a rumor anymore.

Judgemental. Mean. Cold. Bitter.

Some of them were nice. But mostly those four words. People just want to think Celine as a sappy ballad singer all the time. But she's more than just that. They just have to see and hear it with their own eyes and ears. Then they'll realize what this wonderful woman is made of.

I totaly agree with you Celinerific some of those comments were making me angry but some were nice indeed and my goodness so judgementle. What is wrong with some of these Canadians i love being Canadian but I mean come on she is the best singer in the world and we don't now what her English album is going to be like so we have to wait and see what is going to be like.

The more I read about how Madonna and Mariah's albums are shaping up, the more I think Celine's will flop. Not that Celine has to make the same kind of music but two main factors that make the difference are: 1)Madonna and Mariah's sound is current and 2) Madonna and Mariah really invest themselves in their albums whereas Celine has taken a laissez-faire approach these last few years. And no one is to blame other than Celine. It's that dicotomy between wanting to continue to perform and wanting to give it up (and pick her own tomatoes). Girlfriend, you can't have it both ways. Doing so results in being handed down sloppy seconds from Dioguardi. This will not bring her back to the top, i don't care how good a version comes out. What is needed is something really fresh and different. Timbaland is credited with boosting JT's career and reviving Nelly F's. And with good reason. Those tracks were fresh and different! Celine can go ahead and do whatever else she wants to on the rest on the freakin' album but Taking Chances cannot be the first single.

 

Oh, getting back to the original question, does anybody know where the Timba rumored started? Far as I can remember it was only a wish of his to work with her. Don't think it will happen on this CD.

Fans will crave it but after the 3rd week, it takes more than fans to keep an album going. It needs a rockin'first single.

It's part of the creative process do spend time "working" on an album. I have tapes (yes, VCR tapes) of her working on Dion Chante Plamondon in Paris where you can see she is totally vested. Now it's like wham, bam thank you mam. So she decides that after 5 years of performing, she's going to hit the road for another whole year but recording the album will only be afforded 1 week of her time?

No chance in hell she will flop. Not when she's out promoting spreading her love, passion and charisma on stage. Not this time. She will have a steady seller just like Falling Into You. It's all there, you should just do the math, folks!
