I know he's just a shadow of his former self now but once, long ago, his voice and lyrical ability was quite incredible, not to mention the powerfully soulful voice he truly had. Nowadays tho, bleah - there's so many mediocre singers out there...its hard to choose one that she hasnt already done. Garth Brooks maybe? But his songwriting has sucked so bad recently.....maybe Keith Urban, he has a soft but powerful style with some of his music....maybe Vince Gill but his voice is very high so I dunno how they'd "mesh". Oh, I'm surprised none of us older fans thought of this: How about Lionel Ritchie? His voice is still great (saw him recently singing with Kenny Rogers and he sounded better than Kenny!) She had obviously taken notice of Christina Aguilera, Michael Buble, and Rene Olstead. Therefore, with this interest and with the jazz album in the works....I think it would be an outstanding idea to do a duet with Michael Buble. Michael is very popular these days...and that would help with the promotion of the new album! Quote
