After the praise she heaped on pop tart Christina Aguilera in last month's Gay Times in the UK calling her the greatest female vocalist in the world ('What?' said the journalist, 'Better than you'.... 'Yes' said Celine).

 

So maybe her?

I think that a duet with Christina would be fierce!

 

And I know many people will say that a duet would not work because they both have powerful voices and they would drown each other out, yadda yadda yadda.

 

But Celine has sung with Josh Groban, Luciano Pavarotti, Barbra Streisand, and Christina has sung with Andrea Bocelli so it would work.

How about THE KILLERS?

I know it's a strange choice but Celine always said she likes to 'rock n roll' a bit and I can just hear her rocking to 'Bones' or 'Believe Me Natalie' etc... The lead singer has a great voice and we need a voice that will complement Celine's and not COMPETE with it.

How'd I miss this when I searched? Was it hiding from me? :( And it's so recent too, which makes it worse.

 

Anyhoo, I'd DIE if they made a Celine duet with Judy Garland. Of any song, really, but one I'd love to hear is Judy and Celine singing one of her later recordings of Over The Rainbow, like maybe using Judy's vocals from the 1960 London sessions she did for Capitol Records that didn't get an official complete release for years. Or maybe The Man That Got Away or You'll Never Walk Alone, both using Judy vocals from the same sessions. I'm sure Capitol still has the vocals-only tapes to make that happen.

 

Of course, I'd kill to hear Celine sing Alone with Heart, or at least Ann Wilson. Sort of to bridge the classic original with Celine's great cover.

 

And if Whitney ever gets in good voice again (Not only is that a BIG if, but it's safe to say she'll never TOTALLY go back to the Bodyguard days.), a duet with Celine would probably make me pass out. :giggle: But that'd be a good thing in this case.

I have always loved him! and always though he would sound amazing with celine!! you all should check out his new music its great! :) also I think she would sound great with Elton john!!! * December 18, 2008. 1st time ever in front row for a concert and it was with my idol Celine!

Dream #1 accomplished.

 

While singing a ballad the only time Celine looked at me was the time I had my sign up luckily!

She stretched out her arm palm faced up while singing with even more emotion in her eyes when she saw it, so it seemed like it was just for me at that moment.

Dream #2 accomplished with the extra bonus!

 

She came and left on my side. I went out 1 row, held up my sign and she stopped, held it herself,

and just looked at it with an awe expression on her face, stunned and amazed when she saw all the glitter!

She looked me in the eyes with those beautiful brown eyes of hers she was tuned into me at that moment and didn't look away, again her looking so emotional as I said with a sincere look on my face to her "It took me 5 hours to make this." (could have been more not sure)

She looked down and away very touched like maybe she wanted to cry then she HUGGED me!!!

She held me for more than just a moment She really took her time! I said to her while about to cry from the hug, "I love you so much!" Then that was it I don't think she said a word to me.

I was crying and saying omg all night with my heart racing and my mind in SHOCK from the unexpected hug and my eyes so sore from crying. I was ready to drop when I got home, but was so emotional I stayed up until 6:30 a.m.! Cried a little for a few days after. Sign and front row seat saved the day!

celine already have a collaboration with kenny g. on her eponimous album on the song halfway to heaven. that song is reason enough for buying the album! it's that great! :kicking:

The last time Celine and Shani had a duet together when they covered "You've Got A Friend" for VH1 Divas Live '98. Shani made back-up vocals for two Celine songs: "If Walls Could Talk" and "Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)"

 

It's nice to see two Canadian divas singing together once again, this time as a single.

I agree with celinecolombian, I think a spanish song in a duet with a "hot" and "cool" latin singer would be great. I disagree about Luis Miguel, I think he's awful, and I can't stand listening to him, but Juanes would be fantastic. If not him, Shakira would do

well it wasn't a duet since it wasn't released on any albums (was it?) and anyway that songs was originaly recorded as solo so you can't call it a duet song.

 

 

It was released on These are special times. track 4. He is the backing vocal. He writes, sing and produced a lot for Celine.

i think she should do a duet with ROBBIE WILLIAMS :wub: ,another one with GAROU too.

Also one duet with Anastacia and with the upcoming Superstar Leona Lewis..their voices match each other

My dream duets would be with:

 

Tina Arena: also a big vocal diva; I always call her the Australian Céline Dion

 

Mariah Carey: two of my favorite vocal divas!

 

Linda Eder: I know she sounds a lot like Céline, but together they would be so amazing!

 

En Vogue: just think what Natalia did with En Vogue on "Glamorous". It should've been Céline!

 

Lara Fabian: I LOVE her. She sings with so much emotion. This would be a match made in heaven!

 

Debbie Gibson: with Deborah on piano. Singer/songwriter kind of thing.

 

Janet Jackson or Paula Abdul: with a great dance video. Let them show the world that Céline can MOVE!

Everytime i see this thread "Celine's next big duet", I can't think of anyone else but me.

 

 

I just can't think of a big duet between Celine Dion and me,. I mean, me and Celine Dion. hehehe. lol

 

 

Enrique and Sanjaya is behind me.

 

 

Dhena will be the leading guitarist and second vocals. haha. :thumbsup2:

as a studio record (but not a song like "Conga") in style that Gloria did with Chrissi Hynde "One Name" so with latin rhythms and uptempo.

yes... Celine and him would give a wonderful duet on a studio recording (But not "Don't Go Breaking My Heart")

when I imagine the song "The Voice Within" for her, I know that she would be a good partner for Celine, she has as well a powerful voice but it's so different to Celine's voice, that it would be a wonderful meeting of the generations and they could do an interesting kind of uptempo song as well as a ballad.

 

otherwise... I would take:

Whitney Houston, James Blunt (would be very interesting), Phil Collins...
