What happened to "It's a man's world"?! Was it performed?

In addition I can't understant why the hell there are so few French songs!!! Let's hope the tracklisting will definitely change and transform for Canada and it will be more French!

It's the same tracklist as in Paris, except there she sang Alone and not The Prayer. It's a shame she didn't sing more songs from D'elles and 1 fille & 4 types. She could've done at least the upbeat ones, like A cause (upbeat version). Oh, well. Maybe she'll do it in Montreal, but I doubt it. According to Rene, she will sing only in French for the 400th anniversary of Quebec. I'd love to go to that one. It seems they'll move the concert to another venue to fit more people. Well, I hope all the regular French Canadian concerts will have more French songs.

Let's remember there are a lot of French songs listed in the Tour Book (that haven't been peformed anywhere so far) and I hope they will perform them there!!

According to Rene, he didn't decide how the tickets will be available, he had nothing to do with the distribution. And now he read in the Canadian press that Paul McCartney is going to give a concert for the 400th anniversary too, and he's on a bigger venue that can hold 250,000 people, with free access (no tickets). And he got upset, because he thought Celine and Paul McCartney would get the same treatment. So he asked the organizers to move Celine's concert on the same venue as Paul's. He said the organizers will announce tomorrow how the access to her concert will be made and he said Celine will give a special full concert (he made this clear because the mean Quebec media had said she will only sing some 20 minutes, which is not true), entirely in French. He said this is not a thing of rivalry between Celine and Paul, that Paul is his favourite artist and it's a great achievemenet for the committee that organizes the 400th anniversary to have him there. He just wants the same treatment for Celine, as the organizers told him when he agreed to this concert. He wants as many people as possible to see Celine's concert, as it's a free concert and Celine is not getting paid for it. You can read all this here: Canoe (in French only).

I can only agree with him. Celine is as big as Paul (as a solo artist even more successful, let's face it, if it wasn't for the Beatles, Paul wouldn't have made it this far) and he is from Quebec. Of course he gets mad when people in Quebec don't give her enough credit and respect as they would any other artist of her caliber. I think the Quebec media and official might just have a problem with paying recognition to their own successful people... At least the people love her there, no mattter what stupid media says about her.

It doesn't make sense to have two full concerts.

It sounds nice, but it also sounds unreasonable.

 

They didn't do that for the mega-Las Vegas show with all the beggings, pleasings, and proposals from fans and forums. Also, since this is the "Taking Chances Tour," I highly doubt there is any emphasis on her Francophone concerts.

 

They might just merge her French performances into the standard set-list.

Now that's more reasonable.

We have been receiving many inquiries about the 'A New Day...' DVD. The original scheduled release date announced in the 'A New Day...Live in Las Vegas' CD was postponed because of the many changes and improvements made to the show since the initial filming. There are plans to re-shoot 'A New Day...' later this year, after even more exciting changes are made to the show. Currently, the anticipated release of the DVD will be sometime in late 2006 or early 2007. Additionally, there are plans to release the original filming so fans are able to see the evolution of 'A New Day...' We will announce any new official information on Celinedion.com when it has been confirmed.

So as you see, plans change. Just because they said they'll film two shows doesn't mean we'll get two shows in the end.

The show, which is being directed by Jamie King (Madonna's Confessions World Tour, Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics World Tour, Ricky Martin's Livin' La Vida Loca World Tour) will accompany Celine's performances with a visual feast of color, fashion, dance and surprise!

The concerts had better be different in Montreal, but I don't see that happening. Sure, she sounds and looks great but her Francophone set list is AWFUL! It looks like it was made by someone who just has the "D'EUX" album and her english ones.

As you see, she sings J'irai Ou Tu Iras and Destin. What the hell are they? Why not D'elles or 1 Fille 4 Types? Jean-Jacques Goldman is responsible for French concerts songs. He has to be blamed for this crap.

 

I think USA and Canada will be see only 1 or 2 new songs.
