You know I don't understand why Celine is including so many covers during this tour. She has so much material of her, God-forbid: OWN, to work with. Where is "When The Wrong One Loves You Right," "Ne bouge pas," "Right In Front Of You," "A cause," "You And I," "Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way," "Naked," "Reveal," or even "Love Is All We Need?!!" She even said in the liner notes to One Heart that she had a blast rehearsing "Love Is All We Need!" It may not have worked for A New Day..., but I can totally picture it working for the tour!

Wow! ESNRQ is amazing! I agree, it's great to hear more French songs. I'm really glad Destin is in there. Was listening to it yesterday and thought, I hope she sings this in Paris.

 

I still think the Paris show will include many more French songs. There is no other reason why they would use a D'Elles poster to advertise and not call it the Taking Chances tour. I hope I'm right. But I also hope she sings My Love at Bercy, because I would love to hear it live again.

Anyway, thank you for ESNRQ video. I don't think she sounds amazing on this one... there were a lot of out of pitch moments and her voice doesn't seem very strong. It's an ok performance after all. I appreciate she finally decided to sing this song live.

Hi guys,

 

I just have to leave a short review before I head to Antwerp again, but I am afraid I can't find the words to describe last night. It was SO GOOD!

 

We arrived at the venue pretty early and some people were waiting for Céline, so we waited a while as well. We could hear the soundcheck going on, without Céline. The security guys told us that Céline was running late and that she would not be able to stop for us. Too bad, but we still wanted to welcome her. After some time a police-car came (it had its sirens on!) in and behind that car were Céline's black cars. Unfortunately she did not open the window, so we could not see anything. I was a little bit dissapointed by that, because I don't think it asks a lot of effort from her to open the window and wave as you drive by. But maybe she had a bad hairday, LOL

 

The show was absolutely amazing! I loved the fact that they included some older French songs as well. We had first row tickets but I think you are better off with tickets on higher seats, because we were not able to see the top of the stage, with all the light effects. And when Céline was at the other side of the stage, we could not see anything as well. But our block was very outgoing, we were standing almost all the time and had a great time. Nobody asked us to sit down because everyone else was standing as well. Céline made personal eye-contact with me one time during eyes on me, when she was on the walkway going to the other side of the stage! She sang: "You gotta keep your eyes on meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" and while she was singing that, she held on to my eyes while moving to the other side!

 

Overall I had an amazing night, Céline truly ROCKED the house and the audience was almost breaking down the venue! The only downside was that it was very, very hot inside. I hope it will be better tonight, because it was almost tropical. I can imagine that it's hard for the dancers and Céline to perform in such conditions. And the parking was a crime! It took us about an hour to get off our parkingplace, I have never seen anything like this before. But this cant take away our amazing night! See you in Antwerp tonight and friday!!!!

Track list posted 2 minutes ago was correct, but J'Irai Ou Tu Iras is before Power of Love (I think) and she did Je Sais Pas.

 

It was FREAKING AMAZING .

 

We left in Leuven (near Brussels) at 18.00 and as expected, traffic was a *CENSORED* (like all the time). We arrived at the Sportpaleis (which is 30 minute drive on a Sunday or something) at ... 19.58. I'm not kidding. We thought it would start immediately so I freakin' RAN TO THE THING .

I even parked my car on a construction site, just to get there on time. When I got there, I could see hundreds of people still enjoying the sun etc, so that relaxed me .

 

The pre-show was an impersonator doing Mika, Michael Jackson and singing an ode to Céline (song by JJ Goldman).

 

At about 20.30 that was over, and they opened the emergency doors and hatches in the ceiling to cool the building down. This did not help. .

 

At about 20.50 the lights started to dim, and with the lights still half on you could see her, circled by bodyguards, approach the stage (waving). At this point I went apeshit. The crowd started to cheer and she took her place, started with IDAN.

When the screens lifted I jumped off my seat (come on... of course!) and this woman behind me pushed me in the back (really hard!!) and yelled "SIT DOWN". I was kind of amazed she did that, and since no one else was standing, I did. The reason was probably that I was at the last row of the 128,50 euro seats and she was in the first of 98,50 euro seats, which are at the back and almost underneath a balcony.

Then, she came to my side of the stage and everyone stood up, as did I. Then I noticed her giving comments again behind my back, and I said "Sorry, but if you want to, you can stand up too". It's not like she was disabled and she was like 28. I was just so pissed off because my friend is like 1.60 and she could easily, even while sitting down, look over her and see Celine. And it's Celine for gods sake!!

But I decided not to let some stupid person ruin the concert for me.

 

She performed a bit, then made a speech about how she loved to be in Belgium again after her rehearsals for AND.

She also spoke Dutch, French and English (lol: "Alles in orde Antwerpen ").

 

EOM was great, ESNRQ was impressive, My Love was just perfect (not kidding). And here it comes, at the end of this song, she was on her knees and she cried a bit (teary eyes). I could see how the people in the crowd started to run towards her to like, comfort her, so her security guards had to start push people back.

 

She did All By Myself great (her voice was in great condition) and she was all sweaty near the end which made her ... kind of sexy . The remark here is that the Sportpaleis really needs airconditioning, it was a freaking sauna inside.

 

During the concert some people behind me kept yelling "Celine" and "Celine, Je t'Aime". If the person who did that is in here, please known that I loved you . Besides the woman behind me, people were very enthusiastic and singing along etc. Celine clearly liked it and even had to pause her speech for some of the applause.

 

I can't believe she did LCMM again, that song is sooo over now .

 

She did MHWGO and I was almost sad because it was over, but then she said "Je peux pas partir sans dire que je vous aime" (Can't leave without saying that I love you) and she sang PQTME. OMG!!

 

That's my short report . I'm going back tonight .
