celinerific Posted June 24, 2007 at 12:30 AM Posted June 24, 2007 at 12:30 AM (edited) I've been having that problem too. And the boutique doesn't seem to be working either. It's not, they are hosted on different servers in a different location. TeamCeline is on a M$ Windows server, they should switch to Linux. SuperLove4Celine Posted June 25, 2007 at 07:45 PM Posted June 25, 2007 at 07:45 PM You know I'm getting really fed up with this. I ended up writing them a message telling them how angry and pissed I am that I paid for a service that I'm not even getting. I mentioned that I want to get compensated in some way. My guess, though, is they'll come up with some stupid excuse saying it's out of their control therefore I'm not entitled to any compensation. So, unless they're adding a crapload of new material for the site I'm starting to think TeamCeline is probably one of the most unreliable fan clubs out there. ...Joe... Quote

With most web hosting, there is a SLA (service level agreement) guaranteeing x percent uptime, usually 99% or higher. They should be able to be reimbursed by their hosting company if the fault of the downtime was out of their control. It looks like they're hosted at the MCI/Verizon datacenters in Canada. http://global.mci.com/ca/internet/hosting/ I bet it costs them an arm and a leg for web hosting, the amount of downtime is really unacceptable. Perhaps, they should move their servers elsewhere. Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. Click here to go to the Amazon homepage.

Love, Posted June 26, 2007 at 03:34 AM Posted June 26, 2007 at 03:34 AM (edited) To the people who are not happy with TC,Give me a break, folks! You're paying at most $2.08 a month for a TeamCeline membership. I shall repeat that: $2.08I spend that just by cranking the key and turning my car's ignition on LOL You get access to exclusive audio and video materials. You get discounts at her online boutique and Las Vegas boutique. You get great seats at "A New Day..." and other wonderful things! I've even made some wonderful friends through there, and that's priceless! Could it be a Scary Celine Fan (SCF) symptom? I would assume that all of these great things would eclipse a minor technical difficulty. Edited June 26, 2007 at 03:42 AM by Love, Quote

Don't you think some of us are expecting a bit too much? $25 a year for a membership is like gold to me. I've seen other things that cost way more... Believe you me. And besides, what did you miss that you're so furious about? It's not like they would update something when the site isn't working... And think about it... even if you had PMs to answer, the other person wouldn't be able to receive it right away anyway because it wouldn't be working for them either. Stop giving TC a hard time, it's a great fan club. Quote http://i58.tinypic.com/2qbub9c.png @ErikaTran | Insta: aireexwp | erikatran.com
Koolan Posted June 26, 2007 at 05:28 AM Posted June 26, 2007 at 05:28 AM I don't mind either but it's been happening quite frequently nowadays and this most recent one caused me to miss the contest. Stop giving TC a hard time, it's a great fan club. If this was the first or second time I"d agree with both of you. However this has been happening way more than it should. The price that we pay isn't the point. The fact of the matter is that we paid for a service, and simply put we are NOT getting what we paid for. It's the same as if you were paying for a cell phone that was continuously going out, not getting reception, etc. It doesn't matter how cheap or expensive the plan is you paid for. The fact remains it is your/our hard earned money that we CHOSE to spend and give to the company. I chose to be a member of TeamCeline. I chose to pay them money for a service when I could have spent my hard earned money somewhere else. ...Joe... Quote

A cell phone on the other hand is a communication tool that is not necessarily focused on one person, and it is definitely one of the most useful things during emergencies. It also depends on the situation. For example, Vic mentioned that because of the inconveniences, he was not able to enter the contest. I assume this is the contest for the "D'elles" digi-pak? Well, maybe TeamCeline should use their discretion and extend the contest for another day. But then again, maybe a smaller pool of entrants may make selecting winner much easier for them. There could be many, many reasons to be unhappy about the temporary loss of service to TeamCeline. Maybe it's not even the money, or the obsession with Celine - it's a human trait to want something, and WANTING IT NOW! Edited June 26, 2007 at 09:48 AM by Love, Quote

When we purchased membership, it's just logical to know that you won't always have 100% reliability. If you didn't know that, that's just your loss. I mean, try putting yourself in their position. They're obviously not happy about the downtime, and it's not like they WANT these things to happen but they don't have much control towards server functionalities.. They're trying their best and as should you with being a supportive member. And besides, you ARE getting what you paid for. You paid for A New Day... ticket dicsounts, exclusive audio and video features, exclusive images, disounts at the boutique, the ability to enter contests, presale opportunities and many other things. That's basically what you paid for. I think we should all just cool our jets here. Quote http://i58.tinypic.com/2qbub9c.png @ErikaTran | Insta: aireexwp | erikatran.com
