As many of you know, our current server overloaded (was down/unreacheable/lag) many times in the past due to the large number of members downloading and actively browsing/posting on the forum. As a result, pages won't load at all or take a long time to load, downloads would stop completely. That's frustrating, many members were not able to access the forum at all. Our websites demand a lot of resources. The current server's hardware is simply too weak to handle the huge load. It was good enough 2 years ago when there was a lot less activity but times have drastically changed due to the increased number of visits and downloads. To give you an idea, more than 3,000 people visit the forum everyday, in a busy month, we use well over 1 Terabye (1,000 GB/Go) of bandwidth. With the upcoming French and English albums, we anticipate the forum to be very busy. Plus, let's not forget about all the downloads from the new videos (English/French album promotion on TV). 2007 is going to be a huge year for Celine and the fans.

We thought now is a good time to upgrade to a higher end, better, and more powerful server. Not only will the server be able to easily handle the load, download speeds will be noticeably faster to everyone. It will give us a lot of room to grow in the future. Simply put, your experience here will be a better one! However, all this comes at a price which we are unable to afford monthly. Currently, the server cost is about $300 USD each month. The NEW server is $150 USD extra monthly, total price ($300 + $150) = $450/month. It is indeed very expensive to keep this forum server online. Plus the $300 one-time setup/upgrade fee.

To accomplish this, we are kindly asking others to donate money to us by using PayPal. If you enjoy this forum, please consider donating whatever you can. The amount is not important, each and every contribution will help us, it all adds up in the end. Your contributions will help us whilst knowing that you made a difference to many. Comme beaucoup d'entre vous le savent, notre serveur actuel est très souvent surchargé (inaccessible/lent) à cause du nombre croissant de téléchargements et de posts. De ce fait, certaines pages ne se lancent pas ou mettent longtemps à se lancer, et les téléchargements s'arrêtent. Cela est frustrant, et beaucoup de membres n'ont pas pu accéder au forum du tout. Nos sites exigent beaucoup de ressources. La capacité de notre serveur est tout simplement trop faible pour supporter une telle charge. Il était suffisant il y a deux ans lorsqu'il y avait moins d'activité, mais cela a changé grâce au nombre croissant de visites et de téléchargements. Pour vous donner une idée, environ 3.000 personnes visitent le forum chaque jour, et durant un mois très actif, nous utilisons plus de 1 Terabye (1,000 GB/Go) de bande passante. Avec la sortie imminente des albums Français et Anglais, nous pensons que le forum sera très chargé. De plus, n'oublions pas tous les téléchargements de nouvelles vidéos (promotion des albums à la télé). 2007 va être une grande année pour Céline et ses fans.

Nous pensons donc que c'est le moment idéal pour prendre un serveur plus puissant et plus efficace. Le serveur sera non seulement plus puissant, mais la vitesse de téléchargement sera également accélérée pour tout le monde. Cela facilitera les choses pour le futur. En d'autres termes, votre expérience sur notre forum sera beaucoup mieux! Cependant, cela entraîne un prix que nous ne pouvons pas couvrir tous les mois. Notre serveur actuel coûte environ $300 USD (225 ¤) par mois. Le NOUVEAU serveur coûte $150 USD (110 ¤) de plus chaque mois, prix total (225 ¤ + 110 ¤) = 335 ¤ ($450) par mois. C'est en effet très cher pour mettre en ligne le nouveau serveur. Sans compter les $300 (225 ¤) de frais d'installation/mise à jour.

Afin de mettre à jour notre serveur et couvrir ces frais, nous demandons gentiment de faire des dons d'argent par le biais de PayPal. Come molti di voi sanno, il nostro attuale server s'è sovraccarcato (è caduto/non raggiungibile/in ritardo) molte volte in passato a causa del gran numero di membri che scaricando ed attivamente navigano/postano sul forum. Di conseguenza, le pagine non si caricavano del tutto o ci voleva molto tempo per caricarle, i dowload si fermavano completamente. Ciò è frustrante, molti membri non potevano nemmeno accedere al forum. I nostri siti richiedono molte risorse. L'hardware dell'attuale server è semplicemente troppo debole per gestire questo grosso carico. Andava bene 2 anni fa quando c'era molta meno attività ma i tempi sono drasticamente cambiati a causa dell'aumentato numero di visite e download. Per farvi un'esempo, circa 3.000 persone visitano il forum ogni giorno, in un mese pieno, usiamo oltre 1 Terabye (1,000 GB/Go) di banda. Con gli imminenti album francese ed inglese, prevediamo che il forum sia molto visitato. In più, non scordiamo tutti i download dei nuovi video (promozione TV degli album inglese/francese). 2007 sarà un grande anno per Celine ed i fan.

Abbiamo pensato che ora fosse il momento giusto per upgradare ad un migliore e più potente server. Non solo il server sarà capace di gestire il carico, ma le velocità dei download saranno notevolmente più veloci per tutti. Ci darà molto spazio in cui crescere nel futuro. Semplicemente messo, la tua esperienza qui sarà migliore! Comunque, tutto ciò arriva ad un prezzo che non possiamo affrontare mensilmente. Como muchos de ustedes saben, nuestro servidor actual estuvo caído muchas veces en el pasado reciente debido al gran número de miembros que descargaban, posteaban y realizaban búsquedas en el foro. Como consecuencia, algunas páginas no se terminaban de cargar o tardaban mucho tiempo en hacerlo, algunas descargas se paraban de repente. Es un gran problema ya que muchos fans no eran capaces de acceder al foro. Nuestras páginas precisan de muchos recursos. El hardware del servidor actual es simplemente incapaz de hacer frente a tal actividad. Estuvo bien durante los 2 años anteriores, mientras no había tanta actividad pero el tiempo ha cambiado drásticamente debido al aumento de miembros y descargas. Para hacerse una idea, sobre 3000 fans visitan el foro diariamente, en un mes de mucha actividad, hacemos uso de 1 Terabyte (1,000 GB/Go) de ancho de banda. Con el reciente álbum en francés y el próximo en inglés, prevemos que el foro estará a pleno rendimiento. Además, sin olvidar todos los nuevos videos (Promoción en TV de los álbumes en francés e Inglés). 2007 va a ser un gran año para Céline y sus fans.

Pensamos que ahora es un buen momento para actualizar con un servidor más grande, mejor y más potente. No sólo el servidor conseguirá que sea más fácil el acceso y la carga de páginas, las velocidades de descarga serán claramente más rápidas para cada uno. Nos dará más espacio para maniobrar en el futuro. Simplemente tu experiencia aquí será aún mejor! Sin embargo, todo esto tiene un precio al cual somos incapaces de afrontar mensualmente. Actualmente, el coste del servidor ronda los $300 USD cada mes. El NUEVO servidor representa $150 USD más por mes, precio total ($300 + $150) = $450/mes. PayPal can accept bank accounts (Checking/Savings) too, you don't have to use a credit card. I'm not sure how it works for other countries.

I would like to donate too. There's other way to donate by using wireless trasnfer. But it cost expensive "depend on country" I do not have credit card. But if I can help, I would do. Wireless Transfer is one of my choice. other way is "Check, Draft" and send it through air mail. But that's gonna be slow. Wireless transfer takes one to two days transfer "depend on destination" moslty "half - one day".

So far, we've received less than $50 USD from monthly donations. I'm disappointed, I know we could do better than this. :down: $5 is barely enough for lunch, I'm sure it's not too much to ask for considering how much you get in return here. While donating is not required, we would be grateful with whatever amount you could afford to send. Every penny adds up in the end, keep in mind the difference you can make for many others. :yes: :msn-wink:
