smw Posted April 21, 2007 at 11:51 PM Author Posted April 21, 2007 at 11:51 PM I'm quite ill about this...but I want to give some advice to those of you who may feel "stuck" about going Vegas. In March when the show was cancelled, some ushers were out in front of the doors and handed me a sheet of other shows to go to. I ended up going to Mystere at Treaure Island, and it blew my mind. It really made me want to see ALL of Dragone's shows. He's brilliant. So I am thankful for Celine's show being cancelled in that one regard. Of course I would have rather of gone to Celine, but I saw a show that changed my life anyway. So, if you have travel arrangements that you can't change, don't be completely bummed--and don't just not go because Celine won't be there...because there is a whole other world of shows out there--AMAZING shows. And the only thing that's getting me through this is that Celine will be world touring--and she's bound to come close to each of us. I'll forgive her then. The week of Thanksgiving was really it for me. I can't change my plans for somone else--even if it is Celine. Quote
KimboCosmo Posted April 22, 2007 at 02:47 AM Posted April 22, 2007 at 02:47 AM Well you know what? Millions might have been to see her these past 4 years, but there ARE still people who haven't EVER seen her...take me for an example...I've been a devoted fan for 15 years, and I like to think I deserve to FINALLY see my idol live. Call me whatever you want...selfish or whatever...I don't care, this is just how I feel. I've saved up this money for a YEAR to be able to be there. My show didn't get canceled (November 29th), but it still makes me uneasy about the whole thing. Who's to say she won't cancel even more shows after what she's already done? My heart truely does go out to the ones that this affected. I understand and I would be in a panic if that were to happen to me/does happen to me. Yes, I understand that other things are important, but if you are mature enough to hold a show, and commit to a FINAL year of AND, then be mature enough to actually FINISH what you've started. And also, Celine may not totally be in control of this situation, but I just wish she would THINK about her devoted fans, and the people who HAVE been around all these past years, and who really are the ones who put her where she is today. Kim, as much as i love Celine i totally agree. i am too a little uneasy about our nov 29th tix. but lets hope that it will be a great show with her coming back from that scheduling conflictYea, I know...I'm scared now...what if she does cancel the show for the 29th? I don't know what I would do. Would the box office set me up for a good seat on another night that I will be there? I would want them to be equally good seats, or even better! Have they ever done that for anyone? I'm not so much as reserved as my Mom is but she will be with me, and if there aren't any "clean" shows, then she wouldn't even want to go. Besides, I know there might be some great other shows out there, but my WHOLE ENTIRE reason in planning a Vegas trip, was to see Celine...I've never ever seen her in my entire life. I wanted this trip to be special, and a memory that will last a lifetime of my first time seeing Celine live. smw Posted April 22, 2007 at 03:34 AM Author Posted April 22, 2007 at 03:34 AM Yes, I totally understand that Celine is the ONLY reason for going to Vegas. She is the only reason I go as well. I'm not even 21! So I literally can't even check into most of the hotels yet. But from her cancelling on me last time, my eyes were opened to amazing shows. You can't go wrong with any of the Cirque du Soleil shows as far as cleanliness--except for Zumanity, which seems quite provocative. But remember--these shows are created by the same man who created Celine's show. He is a genius. The Wynn hotel, which is spectacular, was actually built after the owner spoke with Dragone about the kind of show that could be in that hotel--which is Le Reve. Even if you do go see Celine, go see a purely Cirque show as well. Just spend time looking them up online. After Celine went to see "O", she was inspired to do the whole Vegas thing in the first place. There's "O", "Mystere", "Le Reve", "KA", and others! Just check them out. I even bought the soundtracks for all of them! Quote
DianaLuts Posted April 22, 2007 at 03:37 AM Posted April 22, 2007 at 03:37 AM (edited) yep, it has been a while now. i remember browsing thru every single magazine at the store every single week looking for celine pics:):) lol. i don't really do that anymore. well, occasionally i do and i jump like a kid when i see her in a magazine and then fondly take it home and put it away....ooohhh, puppy love... speaking of puppies...i was at a charity auction yesterday and i bid OMG $525 for a puppy:):) thank god someone bought it for $550. but he was just adorable. i would have made my fiance pay for it considering i am broke with celine.....lol:):) but celine....i love you girl!! I was in Vegas for 1 week in Nov 2006 and managed to watch all of the Cirque du Soleil shows, apart from Celine's A New Day... which was the climax of them all. Amongst all of the CDS, i loved 'LOVE' the most. Listening to some of Beatles classics and several never been released songs was amazing. Plus great visuals and acrobatic stunts that CDS is so famous of. Highly recommended!! I thought KA was boring, O is just okay (I really can't stand the chlorine smell), Mystere was good (although some of the stunts I've already seen in other CDS shows) and lastly Zumanity, a really funny show I laughed so hard. My friend hated it, maybe he's just being prude, lol. They made fun of Celine but it was just a mild joke. I also watched Le Reve. Really like the stage and the music. The stunts became too repetitive at times and yeah i got sleepy too. Anyways, IMHO A New Day is still the best in Vegas. I'm really sorry for those who got cancelled for the Nov AND, but tickets for other shows sold out pretty quickly too especially 'O' and 'LOVE', in case you wanna watch them as alternatives. So plan early. Quote

When I went to see Celine last November and she cancelled, I went to see Mystere...it was really good, nothing like what we have in Australia, but I couldn't help thinking that I was meant to be in Caesars watching Celine at the exact moment I was watching Mystere But it is a very clean show, a lot of dancing and other acts which are very good....but nothing compared to Celine. Is November 29th the only ticket you have to see Celine? or are you going any other nights? I really feel for you as I know what it is like never to have seen her and wanting to see her more then anything. Good luck Quote
Shamrock_1982 Posted April 22, 2007 at 10:30 AM Posted April 22, 2007 at 10:30 AM (edited) I seen 'O' in march and it was out of this world.... i wanted to see 'ka' but I coldn't fit it all in, but another time i guess....we sat in second row centre for 'o' and there wasnt a strong chlorine smell... got a little wet though but that was all part of the fun.... how it starts is amazing... you got to keep watching the red curtain just as it begins...i dunno how they do it its breath taking... its a hard show to describe, but theres never a dull moment, the music is chilling, the theatre is magnificent, and the artists are truely gifted...id go see it again.... it inspired celine, but i think if that, if it did that much, there could have been more magic, more cirque du soleil effects and moments in ''a new day'' not that i'm slatting celines show at all, lol, but if you go see 'o' you will know what I mean... I do know that there is a whole new world of things to do (it is Vegas after all!) but this still sucks and the lack of information is appaling! CSCfan Posted April 23, 2007 at 02:41 PM Posted April 23, 2007 at 02:41 PM Don't hold your breath for official news.... as they haven't done that in the past, it's likely you won't get it now either. We got in touch with someone we have delt with at the Casino and got our tickets exchanged for Szaturday May 26th. We got Orch. 4 Row AA Seats 401-404. . We hope others were able to do the same. KimboCosmo Posted April 24, 2007 at 08:35 PM Posted April 24, 2007 at 08:35 PM The more I think about it, the more I get freaked out...God I hope she doesn't cancel the November 29th show. nature boy Posted April 24, 2007 at 09:30 PM Posted April 24, 2007 at 09:30 PM I got the processing fees back from TM after complaining! I've also sent am email through TC. TWO days ago using the "PRIOITY RESPONCE" page . Still not heard anything . I'm also going to send the same email to Ceasers, anyone have a clue where else to send this? Don't get me wrong I know nothing will be done, but I feel I must speak and let our feelings known. So the more places I can send my letter the better guys. I did consider moving our holiday plans aroubd to fit in with the show again, but the last shows in November and going into December isn't possible as we have prior comitments and I like to keep them (take note Celine!) So I thought about the shows in October, but I'm just so uneasy about changing everything in case the same thing happens again. So it looks like it's a Celine free holiday for us. We have the tour next year but I'm still bummed and angry! Quote http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/3239/kylieima5lp9.jpg How do you describe a feeling??
