amelie Posted February 17, 2007 at 04:17 PM Posted February 17, 2007 at 04:17 PM She's recorded 26 songs for ANDHC and chose 16 to release. She will undoubtedly record around 30 this time arouns and again choose 15 or so that she likes the best. And generally speaking by "no concept" I mean "no general direction" - her English albums don't have to be as focused as her French ones at all! Buuuuuuuuuuuut I would expect at least some idea of sound or lyrics or even adjectives: funky, modern, dance etc. In my opinion they are still searching. As gogo said they want a hit badly and judging from the past if Céline's wanted a hit badly it always always backfired (One Heart. Then You Look At Me or The Reason). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL, all great songs hmm I don't agree with you! Sure sony is the one who selects the songs (with her team) which are handed to Celine... but she makes the final cut! I cannot believe she would sing a song, because she has to sing it! You may think of me as naive... but I'm sure Céline doesn't work that way! If she really disliked MHWGO and said no... then no would be no! If someone else would make a hit with it, then she'll say ooh my bad... but good for the other singer! Look at Ten Days... Céline really loved Tomber and believed in the song... eventhough ANDHC was already finished she pushed to record the song, and TD eventually kicked CWS of the album. That after that nothing happens with the song is Sony's fault My point is... Céline has to believe in the song... otherwise it won't happen! And it may come as a shock to you, Tal and Suir.... but maybe juuuuuuust maybe Céline actually liked Rain, Tax, When love is all we need, Real Emotion etc <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i think she loves that kind of songs too, any kind actually.she just has to like it as a song no matter the style OMG Bryan Michael cox writing for Celine even produce sumthing with her isn´t he behind such R&B artists like Mariah Carey and Monica..i think it will be cool stuff though Celine going into Whitney Houston´s steps i mean Bryan is working with Whitney these days and now Celine as well.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i thought this is about Ben Moody Celine working with him is the BEST news for me cause i wanted her to sing rock since ANDHC and ten days has nothing to do with what i want her to sing Anyway don't know if he's gonna write good songs cause Evanescence's songs were co-written by Amy Lee who is a genius imo but she's gonna sing rock anyway and that's enough for me .i think that different styles CAN be included in the same album it has to be done the right way.A head co-producer could do that...I love "Stripped" and i love Xtina (well mainly for Stripped:P).ANDHC is not good enough imo.Nice try (maybe) but only a few RLY good songs.i don't get bored listening to it but that's not good enough.you gotta have great songs that non fans will love the songs for what they are and not cause Celine Dion is singing... disadiva Posted February 17, 2007 at 04:52 PM Posted February 17, 2007 at 04:52 PM I think it will be my all time favorit album since ANDHC and with these names though it´s not official jet.I can imagine how this album will be.Ben Moody- Will make sumthing rock-edgy sound etc: Everything Burns with Anastacia.Bryan M Cox-R&B in the ave of Beyoncé Irreplacable, Mariah Shake It Off.Ne-Yo similar to Bryan i think.David Foster will keep the Celine machine working on POWER HOUSE BALLADS.Rick Wake will pop it up.maybe walter Afanasieff will be on of the production team this time.. you´ll never know.Cross Your fingers guys... celinesounds Posted February 18, 2007 at 01:37 AM Posted February 18, 2007 at 01:37 AM (edited) Celine should do a double disc 1st disc with 8 songs (pop + r& + 2 remixes =10 songs 2nd disc with 9 songs (rock + alternatives) + 1 remix = 10 songs 20 songs with just one album Edited February 18, 2007 at 01:38 AM by celinemariedion Quote #FREEJAVITO
salsacolin Posted February 18, 2007 at 03:02 AM Posted February 18, 2007 at 03:02 AM I think this is good news but I agree with Col- that hopefully they don't just don't do an album of Avril, Britney, Whitney and Mariah cast-off songs...I want them to push the boat out to give her a Celine sound- not just a random mix. If you read the iTunes reiew of ANDHC I hope they can achieve all of that again.Celine Dion can sing anything but she has to really go for it...and if it's good, it'll be fabulous and her fans will love her for going for it.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lets hope so Stevo. Part of me wants another ANDHC with all sorts of songs on it but I would quite like a cohesive A/C album with an edge. Who knows - I am confident it will be great! EternalSunshine Posted February 18, 2007 at 10:44 AM Posted February 18, 2007 at 10:44 AM I really like most of Celines songs no matter what the press is writing about it! But with this album I really hope that Celine has time to promote it and choose the right singles which have the potencial to be a hit! Because her latest singles were very rare played at any radio stations in my country and the last music video the showed of her on TV was "I'm Alive". That has made me always very sad and angry the last years, because the play the videos of any unknown performer but not the ones of an international Superstar like Celine! Bullet Posted February 18, 2007 at 07:47 PM Posted February 18, 2007 at 07:47 PM That's excellent news. We cannot jump to conclusions to quickly though... Yes, Céline might have some Mariah-like or Whitney-like or Amy Lee-like songs, but with a Celine twist!! And that's what will make them different . So Celine will bring the RNB, Rock and A/C in one new dish! Can't wait to hear them. I'm glad she's working with new names, people who don't know what's she like in a studio to bring out the very best out of our Céline!!! And I'm not too worried about the mish-mash of styles... :boxed: Quote

Kian Posted February 18, 2007 at 09:37 PM Posted February 18, 2007 at 09:37 PM (edited) what a great news this album seems more and more the way I wanted it to be (except for ''I knew I loved you'' ), Ben Moody is great and 'My immortal'' amazing song. I can't wait for October. I wonder whose song will be chosen for the first single and what will it be? Rock, rnb, pop, ballad...? If they screw up with the first single it could affect album sale alot cause people will think that the rest of the album sounds like that. Edited February 18, 2007 at 09:41 PM by Kian Quote

I feel the same way, she struck gold with ANDHC (#1 for 28 weeks in U.S. broke previous record also set by her) They need to do another ANDHC type of album with a good mixture of songs which is what this is starting to sound like. I just hope they are good songs and not like OH which tried too hard to sound hip and modern. Don't forget the rumored duet with Annie Lennox! That would really be different!
