Millennium Concert

I have a question about the Millenium Concert in December 1999 at Centre Molson in Montreal. I know that it was broadcast live all around Canada when it took place - and they called it "La derniere de Celine". My question is - have they by any chance released the concert on album or DVD or VHS, like they did with other Celine concert - like the one at Stade de France?

Originally the concert was going to be released on CD and VHS/DVD in later 2000, then moved to 2001.

 

They pushed off the release so long that Celine's comeback was coming just around the corner!

 

So it remains unreleased.

I can see why it is. Normally they use several concerts to edit a Celine video, and some of the vocals in this album (including messing up on "D'amour ou d'amitie" and "That's The Way It Is")) aren;t her best.

 

Perhaps one day in the future it will see a release.

If you go to Youtube you can find some songs from this concert. Someone must have taped it when it originally aired. I'm not sure how many songs are there, but there's at least a few. I know I saw one that had her singing with Brian Adams. From watching those clips, that show looked like it was amazing, especially since it was New Year's eve 1999 and it was her final concert before taking her long break. At that time, even though

I thought she would return to performing eventually, you really did not know what would happen, it could have been her final concert. I think the last LV concert will also be very emotional, especially since she's been there so long, but since it sounds like she is going to start touring after that (or so it seems) at least we know alot of people that did not get to see her in LV will finally get their chance.

What was her reasoning behind stopping the release? Do you know?

the reason why she cancel the dvd mmmm i think she wasn't satisfy about that night, about herself... her voice wasn't in top at all.... just recover from a cold...

Yepp, that's it! She was unsatisfied... somehow, I can understand her... BUT it was still THE concert of the millenium and just a very important concert in her career...

I purchased the full concert including interviews from ebay.

She didn't want it released,but the concert marked the end of an impressive era for Céline beyond her mega hit Titanic

I did remember something about her having a cold of something back then. I do hope that there will be more DVDs about Celine in the future.

well i still think it's quite important that they release it, cause it was an important concert and kind of like the last of celine... so hopefully they gonna release it later (of course not this year. ahahah too many things this year)

I bought a copy off eBay a couple of years ago, but I still cling to the hope that they will officially release the DVD one day. For me it marked the end of an era, and A New Day... started another one

It makes since why Celine didn't want this concert to be released. Even though she sounds superb, as always, she just seemed tired and her vocals weren't at their best. It's a shame - since it was an amazing line up of songs...for her to be at the top of her game would have been out of this world. But I'm still grateful we can find some of this footage online.

Steal videos?! What's that all about!!

The videos are for free and there where I downloaded the Millenium concert, there are no videos with Celine Channel logo, if you mean this.

 

By the way, it would be great if you stop putting the logo on the videos because for example I like to make captures for my own use with Celine pictures from the videos and the logo distroys them...

 

I hope I don't offend you with this - is just my own opinion but I noticed there are some more people who are a bit annoyed with the logo.

 

I don't mind the logo and info at the beginning of any file but the logo during the entire video in the corner.
