Hello Keith,

 

I hope you can help me. I just want to know when Celine Dion will finally release another English studio album. It has been ages since "One Heart" was released in 2002 and "Miracle" was just a concept album so that doesn't count.

 

I saw on her Web site that she will release another French album in 2007. Is her record company holding out on an English album because pop music is so unPOPular at the moment in the U.S.?

Yes, Mathias is wrong. He is wrong all the time. Wrong is his second name actually. And he is figuring on many celebrities' to-ban-lists. Right now, Celine Dion is aiming to release a new French studio album in the fall of 2007. Epic, her record label, has nothing on the release schedule for Dion through early 2006. So it would seem that an English album from her is still off in the distance.

 

Her last two English efforts, 2004's "Miracle" and 2003's "One Heart" have sold 896,000 and 1.8 million in the U.S., respectively, according to Nielsen SoundScan. She also released a live album, "A New Day – Live in Las Vegas," in 2004. It has sold 454,000.

 

Dion's Las Vegas show, "A New Day," continues through next year. You can also hear Dion on Tony Bennett's new "Duets" album, which was released on Sept. 26. She sings with the legend on "If I Ruled the World."

It is always questionable as for Céline's "ability to sing". She can still sing and that's a fact. Whether you prefer the nasality of TCOML, the overblown production on FIY or her tired voice on TAST. It's all up to you.

Yet I CAN'T understand why he would lie to Chuck Taylor, the man who only heard all of the songs from ANDHC in the first place! The man actually who defends Céline on all fronts in the media.

they didnt lie to him guys . they didnt tell him about the french record because noone in america cares about it...he asked them about her english career and i tend to think that only in recent weeks they finalised this all thing and rene probably didnt want to say anything until it's official .

well , billboard also confirmed in the last few days that a new french album is coming and as u said only few weeks ago they said that nothing is planned as for NOW . i guess few weeks is a very long time in the lives of rene and celine - in 2 weeks they signed on to record a new french album and a new english album , and something tells me that's not all there is into it

he worked with many many artists but his most famous work is the one with michael jackson - they produced the best selling album of all time together and a true classic - THRILLER

Yes, so far he has worked with her on merely one single song for the tribute album.

 

There is a possibility of him working with her again on her English CD. We have absolutely no official word on the release of the English CD apart from Mathias' sources which I dunno...

Well, they INDEED now mentioned the new French album. It may be that Chuck asked about an English project explicitely but I wouldn't see any reason not to tell him about it. And yeah, René told there's nothing on the horizon. That is what puzzles me.
