i forgot also about ocean's 13 - celine might do this project too next year...if so i think it will her busiest year so far .

maybe the first single will be the theme song from this movie??we heard rumors that celine is going to be part of the soundtrack - yeahh i know , another movie song but think about the promotion thanks to the movie .

 

i really hope her first single wont be an ordinary pop song or pop ballad like ANDHC or IA...i think they learned their lesson by now , i truely hope she wont work with max martin and his likes . the first single should be a very powerful ballad again or even a powerful jazz song , maybe something a little diffrent but for sure not another crappy song . i pray for a deep song with complicated lyrics and violins in the background and at the same time a simple production that would highlights her amazing voice

knowing sony and celine's team they wont waste this opportunity to add this 2 songs instead of recording 2 new ones , it's unfortunate cause eventho the songs might be beautiful - i want the entire album to be a NEW one .

I mean she's doing an all new French album with brand new poetry songs. There will be at least 10 new tracks and I would hope it's not more than 10. It would fit the concept nicely.

 

As for her English release she has Benoit Jurtas and that Marc Anthony composer, she has her self-written songs, plus I bet she will work with Quincy on some new songs when all went well in the studio.

 

Now gogo, she will do all new songs - there's no reason she'd include older titles. It will be her first all new English album since ANDHC where she recorded 26 songs for it but seemingly lost direction what she wanted to do. We may expect the new EL (English aLbum and FL for French aLbum) new album to be her most cohesive yet.

 

Especially if you consider the dark songs Benoit Jurtas does, Quincy Jones is also known for jazzy depressive songs and Céline's composed and wrote another great darkly-flavored tune "Drop By Drop".

 

Oh, and I think "Over You Baby" may be the first single since it would showcase her writing skills. The second single would be the killer sound from Ocean 13 when it's released next fall.

Yes I think so too.. Perhaps if they had released an English album early this year, it might've included some "older" songs, but....it's her "first album in 4 years", so it's unlikely they would do this.

I'd also like to hear the Drop By Drop song she talked about in the biography. It sounds interesting.

On the other hand, I hope won't record songs called Over You Baby, Over Here Baby, Over There Baby. I thought that is still an unconfirmed rumour.

Ocean's 13, Mathias, will be surely pushed back just like Matrix, just like Twister just like all the great movies. There is still a big chance for a release in the fall.

 

My speculation is logical on top of that. That would be a great concept for Céline. Something she could sell for once.

The song has been registered and she's a co-writer, so technically it's her song. The question is whether she will sing it herself or give it away (like Tout Pres Du Bonheur).. OH! I REALLY hope "I'm Gonna Love You Forever" will be on it too!

Actually, no. These days it's much more fixed. And FYI, they've finished principal photography, so they're ready to start (if they haven't already) post-production. June 2007 is so reachable.

Isabella is 100% confirmed. The co-writer said he enjoyed working with Céline back then in 2002(3) on this song.

 

I also bet the French tunes will be short but tight, compact, just right. Just amazing. We will have 10-12 gems, even if the album itself would be less than 40 min.

No, but it was on the BMI site. And if that one isn't reliable..all the others aren't either. Everything on that site is 100% official and true. Also, she was one of 3 people who wrote the song. One of the other 2 is the composer, so only Celine and one of the other 2 wrote it..doubt it would be only 1 or 2 lines. It's nothing more than a fact that that song has been written and Celine is a co-writer. Whether she added one line (which she most likely didn't, cause she changes stuff in practically all her songs she records) or wrote half if it, she has co-written it and that is 100% official.

Ocean's Thirteen is a BIG film with über A-list actors. The movie has been shot already and it's the third of its series. Believe me: it will be released on those dates.

She could do anything she wanted. But that ain't gonna happen. Celine would rather release 2 albums containing 10 songs each than one with 20. Also, how many songs did her past and more imporant her last [FRENCH] album(s) have?

It's a song she wrote for Marc Dupre's wedding with René's daughter back in 2001 or something. She wrote it in English. Marc Dupré wanted to put it on his album and release it as a single and asked Celine.. she was okay with it. So he translated it in French and released it.

Her regular French albums in the 90's have featured 12 songs but that is beside the point as it was quality all over. One song from D'eux can blow all of the 16 that are on FIY away. That is the Céline Dion we should hear often and she again has the chance to deliver a 1:16 quality.

Ok, I know that song, didn't know it had this title. I liked it, it was really beautiful and so simple musically. I'd like to hear a studio recording of Celine singing it. (Just make sure it won't be as badly produced as Dance With My Father : amazing live version -> bad studio recording)

And talking about that, I also want a studio recording of Ammore Annascunnuto (the original full length version)

In the end, I hope she'll record some lengthy songs, big long powerful songs, not the 3 minutes instant-pop stuff. I mean the old stuff, jazz songs, songbook standards, they have always been that short, that's ok, but they are at least interesting.

Filming is done but you don't seem to see the likeliness of an adjournment. Everything is possible and you can't accept this one simple fact.

 

As well as the fact that my logic doesn't contradict with my statement about quality. 10-12 songs will be enough to deliver and add a new lyrical aspect in Céline's already finely quality-tuned French career. A quality that is nowhere to be found on her English releases. That is why I expect the 1:16 kick to be highly probable this time again.
