I'm so glad, because im leaving good old Ireland to go and live in sunny Australia in just 4 weeks time, having Celine there next year will make me feel slightly less home sick!!

 

though what happened to the Belfast date, it was one of those cancelled during the LTAL tour and Céline's team said if they were ever touring Europe again, they would makes sure the cities cancelled back then would be visited!

Exactly....she was to do Belfast in 99 for the first time , she cancelled for good reasons obviously... but if shes doing a world tour now, she has to do n.ireland, either Belfast or Derry (my hometown).... im hoping somone in her team can make this a reality for her northern irish fans....

You know, I was just thinking, if they`re doing 7 concerts in South Africa then the chances are really good that she`ll make a stop n Brazil.

They`re both on the same economical scale. I was shocked when I saw the prices of the tickets but they`re selling well enough.

Why won't she go to Brazil or Latin America? Aren't there any sponsors to support her show in Brazil? I highly doubt it but I'll give it the benefit of a doubt.

 

 

Anyway... let's wait for October 15th. Maybe they did a typo on the Press release and there will be some dates to Brazil or Latin America.

I understand celine can't go everywhere, but c'mon 7 dates in south africa. Besides, people in latin america (mexico, for instance) pay over $200 dollars for shakira, rolling stones, U2....for stadiums of over 50,000 people. For example, U2 sold out 3 shows at "Estadio Azteca" (over 100,000) with high priced tickets. I think celine has an obligation with her latin american fans, because they have supported pretty much throughout her career.

 

And of course there are a lot poor people in latin america, but the thing about these kind of countries is that there are, on the other hand, VERY rich (see Mexico has the richest man in the world) and a large amount of emerging middle class who could sold out a concert even if the tickets ar as expensive as in europe.

OMG someone else from mexico , thank you i completly agree with you, she could go to Estadio Azteca, many fans coud pay even 200 dollars to see her, now that she's going to countries she has never been before, they should think about latin america..... but let's wait.....maybe we will have the chance to see her ...i really hope so

Yes... YOU'RE RIGHT. I'm quite sure that she'd come to Brazil if she could... She should do some few concerts in South America... Well, they told us that she'd perform in some of the countries that she's never been to before. She's not come to Brazil yet. Celine's one of the three best-selling international singers in Brazil. She's definitely a big success in my country. She's not often on the radio... BUT, she sells a lot... Let's wait for the 15th of October anyway...

Pff, I just went through last 12 pages of this topic! (haven't been visiting the forum for a while)

 

What can I say? I really like this list!! And i'm saying this living in Poland!!

 

I totally agree with Sophan and Bellamy and all the others who are saying it's not a big deal to go from Poland to any city in Germany (esp. Berlin and Leipzig are really not far from Polish border!) or to Prague! I can imagine it may be difficult and very expansive to go to Vegas from Poland (that's why I haven't been there either...*sigh*) but moving within the EU is really fast and not that expansive! We have all these low-cost-fares flights etc. - what's the problem?! it's much easier for 1 or 2 persons to got for a show in a neighbour country with 1 or 2 suitcases than for Céline to come over with all that huge exuipment! I'm sure there will be several big trucks carrying her stuff & staff!!

 

And last but not least... I'm sad to notice that some of the people here are really rude... and even sadder to say: my country mates... ;-(

 

I'm having some good friends in Denmark and it's so not fair to say such things about ANY other country actually - no matter what the country name is and what the reason is!!

And espacially not because Céline is not coming to "our" country??!! Gosh, and than you wonder that some countries have such bad image among the others... you work for it...

 

The only case I can understand the dissappointment is South (Latin) America BUT hey guys, it's just a half of the tour we know by now! I'm almost sure she'll visit at least 1 or 2 countries in South America and i won't be very surprice if Brazil and Mexico will be included!!

From South Africa the tour makes stops in the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Europe and North America, playing both stadiums and arenas throughout. The year-long tour will visit 5 continents, over 25 countries, and more than 100 cities.

 

Unfortunately Latin America or South America is not on the list.

I'd say from a realistic point of view you should go to one, because she doesn't change set lists at her concerts so you'll get the same at both (and also depends on if you can afford two tickets)

from a fanatic point of view, you should go to both, though

I`d say get a really good ticket for the first one - like front row - and a not-so-good one for the second one so you can see it from different perspectives

Beijing or Shanghai, or all 3. flights from Shanghai to Beijing only cost about $50-60 USD, Beijing to Guangzhou flight maybe cost $120 USD. I heard her concert in Shanghai maybe will be the biggest fo the three, there will be some other guest singers. But that's rumor only, and I actually don't care much about the guest singers, especially if they mean some local artists. If you want to watch the concert also tour a little in China. Beijing would be the choice for sure. Coming to China without going to the Great Wall and Forbidden City... is like you haven't been here. I hope Celine would also take a few days off to tour around Beijing after her concerts in China.

And if she goes to Mexico to the azteca, one of the biggest venues in the world then for sure and where many famous artist have performed like Michael Jackson (1993), U2 (2006), Queen, Elton John, Robbie Williams (2005), Maná, Juan Gabriel,Luis Miguel, Gloria Estefan, Jaguares, Lenny Kravitz, Ana Gabriel, The Three Tenors and holds more then 114,000 people why not go there?

I've checked the info. Alvalade Stadium can hold 50466 people. If it is a round stage and they allow to add sitting areas in the grass, this number will be bigger. I'm curious to see if it will be sold out.
