i hope i could have enough money to go to portugal!!!i have an aunt in lisbon but the plane ticket is so expensive..i won't be able to get the money ..

I'm not surprised that Brazil (and South America or Latin America as you wish) is not on the list. The truth is we can't pay to bring her here - the tickets would be very over expensive, like it happens when big artists come - at least to Brazil. I remember a long time ago when Pavarotti came to Brazil the tickets - the cheapest one were about 300-350 US dolar or 600 reais (Brazilian money) and it's a lot of money for a ticket.
Of course I really wished from the bottom of my heart that she would come.. because I know how hard it is for many Brazilians to go abroad etc. Unfortunately, Celine won't come.
But I'm SUPER happy she will go to Portugal! I always told my Portuguese friends that Celine would go there for! sure!

I agree with you,Tati. Brazil is a poor country... MOST OF PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN BRAZIL DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY FOR SUCH A STUNNING CONCERT LIKE CELINE'S. THE ONLY ONES WHO MIGHT PAY FOR A CONCERT OF HERS ARE THOSE WHO VERY MUCH APPRECIATE HER MUSIC. Just to give you an idea about how expensive a Celine's Brazilian concert ticket would be... If it cost Ð„40,00 (... Less than R$110,00), it'd already be VERY expensive. You see...? That's why she hasn't performed in Brazil yet... THAT'S WHY SHE'LL NEVER PERFORM IN BRAZIL. Poor those Brazilian fans who won't be able to go to Europe or North America next year or in 2.009 to see her... Fortunately, I'll be able to see her in Europe. That's it what makes feel less depressed.
Yeah but 110 reais is not that expensive to see Celine. The thing is who should support don't do their job - all the huge companies. And of course, the ticket show would be over 300-400 (over 200 US dollars) the cheapest ones. But my guess it would cost like 500-600 and the most expensive ones would be 800-900 reais (450 dollars)
And for myself, i'll go to see her in Montreal and Toronto and maybe Quebec (canada)

That's exactly what I mean by... A Celine's Brazilian concert ticket would NEVER cost only R$110,00, but, it if did, it'd already be very expansive to the general public, except to those who really love her...
No, I don't think so. Look at Cirque du Soleil - sold out. The problem is that it would be more expensive than cirque du soleil tickets. And other reasons I don't know hehehe

I continue to say... I believe the latin american fans deserve to have at least one concert. C'mon, they deserve it. They are very loyal fans. There's a brazilian Céline Dion community in orkut with more than 10,000 members. People like her and I'm sure they would pay good money to see her, like many people did to see Cirque du Soleil for instance. Even if a ticket costs 200 euros, in brazilian money that would be less than 600 reais, that's about the cost of a Cirque du Soleil ticket. There's no doubt in my mind people would pay to see her.

Why won't she go to Brazil or Latin America? Aren't there any sponsors to support her show in Brazil? I highly doubt it but I'll give it the benefit of a doubt.

Anyway... let's wait for October 15th. Maybe they did a typo on the Press release and there will be some dates to Brazil or Latin America.

For example, U2 sold out 3 shows at "Estadio Azteca" (over 100,000) with high priced tickets. I think celine has an obligation with her latin american fans, because they have supported pretty much throughout her career.

And of course there are a lot poor people in latin america, but the thing about these kind of countries is that there are, on the other hand, VERY rich (see Mexico has the richest man in the world) and a large amount of emerging middle class who could sold out a concert even if the tickets ar as expensive as in europe.

I never ever said that I was happy with the fact that Brazil is not on the list .. - not only Brazil, but Mexico, Argentina etc - Latin America & Mexico - I just said that I wasn't surprised at all. And I don't think it's a bad thing to say. Of course, I would be very happy if those countries were on the list. But I don't want to complain about it and insult people.

Instead of complaining I decided to be happy for those people who will be able to see her - as Portugal, China etc countries that she has never been.

Let's wait for Otc 15th and see what will happen.

so she'll probably do Canada in August, then the US in September and hopefully head down south for

great news, even though tentative dates ... but it won't be helping me out so much ... since I will be in Amsterdam around the 20th of june, so won't be able to see those concerts in London nor Netherlands ... the closest ones would be Zurich (Switzerland) - Vienna (Austria) and Milan (Italy) for me ... but since I have been to Italy already ... I will be going to Milan next year :clap: :clap: :clap:

Well the tour is to support her new album so I'm guessing it'll be called the Taking Chances Tour. What else would they call it?? The 2008 Celine Dion World Tour maybe??
